Map of Azzurra

Not the best map, but it works. I don't know how it got so blurry but anyways.

Azzurra is one multi-continent large island, spanning across several million miles. The island is as beautiful as it can be even, with war raging the lands. The different regions of the area are vast, whether it is vast and distant plains or rocky cliffs surrounded with chaotic waters. The landscape is unpredictable from time, going from a slight desert into thick and mossy forests. The economic system is complex is as complex as figuring how everything came to be.

Lethe is located on rocky cliffs with dangerous, ripping waters below. The cliff is located on the far northeastern part of the island. Part of the Sicyon River flows towards the town of Lethe. They are mostly on slate rock, and their main meal is fish and the occasional wildlife that roams the area. People here are immune to cold weather and any stormy weather illnesses, seeing as they live in it daily and usually for years on end.

However, Lethians tend to be weak against any warm elements, and are prone to get heat stroke within the first hour while traveling in a desert.

Avanti was the central town of Azzurra, always the center point and had the highest population before the war. Usually angels born from this town were the most balanced of people. It was very scenic and had many travelers going through it, bringing this town booming with popularity. Thus when the Pure Lord disappeared the war raged this town to rumble making it a very desolate place. Many people were slain here, making the area tinted with a dark red that never seemed to wash off, no matter how many times it rained.

The war also spilled blood above the Sicyon River, which also tinted that a faint red. People had vanished mysteriously when battling above the river, but none were witnessed in the act.

Eden the town of renewal; meaning that it has everything to do with healing, whether it is from injuries to emotional or mental stress. It is located closest to Avanti, and next to Summerland Lake. The town is a work of beauty and relaxation, with its refreshing sways of wind and the long tall grass, shimmering in the sunlight. The lake sparkling in viewing distance and springs to release the tension and knots in your stressed body.

The town is full of master healers and there apprentices, knowing a vast amount of healing methods. They are reluctant to participate in the war, but they have no choice as they made a vow as a healer to heal any and all injured soldiers. The vow is sometimes broken by resentful healers, but all can't be perfect.

The people living in Cocytus are people with an almost photographic memory of landscapes. They are the people you go to when in foreign land, mainly because they know the weaknesses and strengths of the area with just a glance. It is so because they lived primarily in thick and misleading forests.

People who are native to Cocytus live mostly on small game and lots of fruits making them very healthy. They are not as skilled as other angels when flying, but their strengths are rather the fact they know when and when not to use their wings. It is a useful learned skill to have against gliders in closed areas.

The town of Phlegethon is located on a dormant volcano, the area being very rich due to solid and cooled lava that has been leveling up at the beginning. It has scarce vegetation throughout the area but mostly rich soil and slate and sand stone. The people live off of the heavy game around the area.

The native people are used to heated climates and fair better then Lethes in the climate adaptation process. But not much, seeing as very cold weather makes them faintly sick seeing as their body temperature is lower due to the environment they grew up in.

Crossing an inland river-ravine, the Mnemosyne River, a heavily bushed area, and the Aaru River to the east you can follow through on the coast to get to Gihon. Gihon is an oceanic town thriving on both aquamarine fish and land-loving creatures. They have a balance diet of meat and vegetation, and are very good on training their blessed abilities to the max, being mostly surrounded by water.

Gihon is a very picturesque area, with warm water to play in with a gentle breeze flowing through the area. The crashing waves against the shore create lovely music, with seashells dotting the shore. It is now the most popular area to be since the uprising of the war. Thus, this town is a very lively and peaceful area.

Hiddekel has the split off end of the Aaru River and it flows halfway through the steep ravine in which they live in. It is rare for an outsider to visit because of the crushing gusts of winds that only the people born and grew up in Hiddekel can withstand. They live in caves engraved into the walls to keep the wind from killing them, one way or another.

The people thrive on scarce wildlife and mostly rely on vegetation on the top of the ravine. Those are very powerful herbs that can kill foreigners if they eat too much. Only people who grew up on them can eat it for the best effects. It boosts up their body’s defenses so they won’t get crushed into the walls of the ravines.

In all, there have been many stories passed around about every area of Azzurra. Many people have heard the legends and tales of important people throughout time. And many grew up wanting to tell the story of there lives….
