Fridrik walked in, smartass grin on his face. He hated fitness, but he needed to keep his muscles on the arms a bit fit, and breeding 'em wouldn't be a crime either. And, as his mother always told him, how hard the training itself maybe, you'll feel totally awesome hereafter. Lies or not, he had a job to do. The ladies would love some real German muscles in school.
He sat down on a bench, picking up two dumbbells. 30 lbs. lbs? He never really got those strange American weight and metric systems. They really didn't understand that, next to Liberia and Myanmar, they were the only country in the world using it? Bastards.
He picked them up, raising both of 'em at the same time. GODDAMNIT! One of the dumbbells dropped, right on Fridriks foot. 'Arsloch!'He cursed, jumping up and down. 30 lbs was a bad idea after all.

Matthew put his cigarette out quickly before he stepped inside the fitness center. It was kind of ironic actually to be smoking before working out. Matthew had just started, but couldn't seem to break the habit. Since school had started, he hasn't been able to venture off to the Country Club and have a couple of drinks, so he took up smoking instead for the time being.
Bicpes, and abdominals. That's what Matthew wanted to focus on today. He wasn't in the mood for any cardio, and besides he knew he wouldn't be able to run after his last smoke. Suddenly, Matthew's attention was turned to someone he had never recognized before. He must be new, Matthew thought. There he saw a dark blonde haired, and slightly chubby guy who apparently just dropped a dumbell on his foot. The boy was kind of cute, but definately not Matthew's type. Oh well, I'm feeling bored.
Matthew quickly rushed over to the boy, kneeled down, and grabbed his foot gently."Oh my gosh, are you okay honey? I saw that, and it looked painful." Matthew looked up and nodded at him as he started to softly squeeze his foot.

Fridrik turned around, to the dumbbell rack. He needed a twnty or twntyfive one or anything. He usually used 12 kilogrammes himself. 'Ah, meh, circumstances. My parents had this business in a town in Germany..' He picked up a 22 lb. dumbbell. Yes, that was about right. 'But it failed, and then they lost all their money. With the last of our stuff, we moved to Eastwick, 'coz a family member lived here. But after that, we weren't really stationary or anything. My parents took me to see the whole world. It's actually the first or second time I'm on a school in Eastwick' He lifted the dumbbells, one by one. Good, perfect weight. Stupid lbs. ...you lived here for all your life? Must be pretty boring, to be here all the time.'

Matthew continued to lift his dumbbells, even though his arms were getting really sore. The burn is good, the burn is good, Matthew kept telling himself. Finally though, the burn did get to him, and he put down the dumbbells. You know, you'd think it'd be really boring, ya know after living here your whole entire life...but its really not. I love living here. I know every little nook and cranny about this town...especially now."
Matthew thought about what Professor Kingsley had just recently told him. He still had problems accepting it, but knew it was true...unfortunately true.
Matthew stood up and carried the dumbbells back and put them away. He went over to the bench press and took the fifty lbs weight off of the bar, and with both hands carried it back to the bench. He laid down flat on the bench, and bent his knees. He hugged the fifty lbs weight, and started to do his set of crunches. "But I would like to travel a bit more, that'd be nice too..."
