Walking along the tip of the wet line caused by the ever persistent waves that rocked back and forth at the sand beneath her feet, Mi Na scanned the waters, as well as the beach off to her side. She'd only closed her eyes for a minute. Where had that girl gone off to? The two had come to the beach in order to relax and for Ae Sook to finally be able to see the ocean, however right now this day was not relaxing at all. It was up until Mi Na woke up from her fifteen minute nap to realize her five year old daughter was missing. It's not possible that someone would have picked her up and ran off because Ae Sook would have made a noise to alert her mom and Mi Na would have woken up immediately. So confident that her girl had merely found a play mate, Mi Na searched desperately for the daughter who had ran off.

Could she have gone swimming and been pulled into the water? Would someone have noticed? Or had she merely found a friend to build a sand castle with? Eyes scanning both sides of her, Mi Na tried to think of where her daughter could be. Ae Sook hardly ever went off without her mom. She was always an obedient kid and well beyond the maturity level of most 5 year olds. She was intelligent, and after living with a mother who liked to move too much, Ae Sook had learned how to handle the hardships of life. She was such a strong girl. But she also tended to talk to too many strangers. So hoping that her daughter had merely found a nice person her age to play with, Mi Na continued looking.

After walking down the beach for a good five minutes, Mi Na decided her daughter wouldn't have wandered this far away from her mother, and turned back around. It was difficult walking in the sand with the boots she always wore, so once they'd gotten to the beach, Mi Na had taken the boots off and was currently walking bare foot with her jean pant legs rolled up mid calf. It was also so hot out today, that Mi Na had unbuttoned her lower buttons on the white button up shirt she was wearing and turned it into a belly shirt. Her belly was flat due to her lifestyle, and she also had strong legs thanks to having to walk a lot. However, her muscles weren't too defined and she just looked like a naturally skinny woman who tended to not eat alot, even though that was opposite of the case. Mi Na ate so much that it was a surprise she managed to never lose her naturally thin body. It must be all the walking she did, this woman could probably walk without getting too tired thanks to all the practice over these last few years.

As Mi Na got near to where the tiny duo had chosen to plop their things for now, the blonde haired woman heard a familiar voice yell out "UMMA I FOUND YOU!!" and she turned to find her daughter coming from the top of the beach and down towards the waters. There was someone following behind her, and it seemed that this person had found Ae Sook and kept her company while her daughter looked for her. "AE SOOK!" she called out, relief obvious in her voice.

Kneeling down when her daughter came near, Mi Na took her slightly wet and sandy daughter into her arms and hugged her tightly. She then looked up at the person who had been walking with her daughter and quickly pulled Ae Sook up with her and felt as the child's legs wrapped around her waist, wanting to be held as her mother stood up. "Thank you for helping my daughter. I was so worried something happened to Ae Sook when I woke up and she was gone. May I...ask your name? Perhaps I can repay the favor some how?" she said this looking at the person in front of her with so much thanks in her eyes.

Notes: open to anyone who wants to post. hopefully the person who found Ae Sook? Lolz I dun mind if you be male or female, so I kinda left that general in my post. Hope you don't mind the length lolz

"annyeonghaseyo unnie." she heard a tiny voice call to her and her eyes snapped open and looked around for the direction of that voice. she smiled softly as she saw a cute young child walking towards her. han bom had always loved children and some day wanted some of her own. "annyeong dongsaeng. how are you? are you here alone? it is not safe you know?" she told her looking around for the girls mother. however the child only shook her head and motioned for bom to follow her. pulling her suitcase along she did as the little girl requested becoming worried. this was no place for a child to be alone after all they could get swept up in the waves. the girl led her right to her mother and han bom frowned of course the mother had been carelessly sleeping while her little girl wondered around. however she didn't think now was the best time to start a confrontation and so she smiled softly. "ahh i am just glad she found me before she got swept into the waters or taken by someone." han bom told her not familiar with how often korean kidnappings happened but then back home they were quite frequent. "uh han bom. and you are? ahh no no that's okay it's really not necessary i'm just glad she's okay.i did not count words. tagged for yooh. hehehe i don't know bahahaha i played ae sook a little here i hope that is okay?. this template was made by wonderstruck. of atf!

"Umma...I made a new friend!" Ae Sook said in her most professionally adorable voice. Some times Mi Na wasn't sure what her daughter was thinking, and couldn't help but shake her head at the girl who had brought this girl to her. Laughing a bit, Mi Na looked towards the girl who looked about the same age as her, and bowed slightly and said "I'm Kim Mi Na, and this here is Ae Sook." Looking closer at the girl, she wasn't sure if she was an Unnie, or a Dongseng. She also noticed the girl had an odd accent, which caused her to wonder where she was from. Maybe she wouldn't have to use all sorts of unfamiliar honorifics since perhaps this girl also wasn't used to the honorifics? "Where are you from Han Bom-ssi? I notice you have an accent." Mi Na also had a bit of an accent since it took her some time to make her way over to Asia since she had always lived all over the place. Even though her parents were korean, Mi Na spent most of her life away from Korea, therefore she didn't have any sort of Korean breeding into her accent or her way of life other than what she heard from her parents.

Looking down at the luggage that Bom had been carrying around with her, Mi Na then looked over at the overly stuffed back packs that she and Ae Sook carried with them from place to place. There were only the basic needs inside their bags because whenever they went to a new place they would buy some clothes and then sell them again before leaving so they weren't overly burdened by clothes whenever they were traveling. There was no sense in carrying around too many clothes, especially when it was so hot like this in the summer. Only basics were needed and they simply washed their clothes whenever they got the chance. Most times they managed to have enough clothes between washings that they didn't need to wear dirty clothes, and that's all that Mi Na cared about. Especially since they would change out their clothes every time they stopped anywhere for a long period of time.

Notes: it's short but lolz that's okay, right? Anywho it'll get better and I figured i'd reply quick ish so i could give you something to reply to so you can make that other person? biggrin.gif

"london." she replied bringing her gaze back up to meet mi na's and noticing that she was staring at the suitcase behind her, "ah i'm visiting some relatives but they are not home quite yet and so i decided to come here and wait for them. i always wanted to see the pacific ocean." she told her lying in order to make her story less shameful and wondering if she should talk formally to the woman in front of her. however it had always been her habit not to do so and so she talked as though they had been friends a long time rather than just met. "what about you? were you born here?" she asked curiously and since she had some time to kill she might as well stay here. at least she wouldn't have to feel alone right?i did not count words. tagged for yooh. short posts are fine love do not worry hehehehehe

"AH...this is Ae Sook's first time at this ocean too, right hun?" she said, looking at her daughter who had grabbed onto a pink strand of Mi Na's hair and was watching the two talk while being held in her mother's arms on her hip. "Ah yes! Unnie, do you like it here? You should stay and play with me until your family comes back..." Laughing, Mi Na brushed some hair out of her daughter's face and then looked over at Bom again. She seemed nice, and she had also managed to keep her daughter safe so this meant she had nothing against this woman. If she decided to stay and play with her daughter she would have nothing to say against it. "Ah, yes. You could stay with us, Bom. You're Ae Sook's first friend here after all. We move around a lot, so she is always good at making friends. And we're not from here, or anywhere in particular. I was born in the states, and Ae Sook was born in Japan. But we wander a lot. London was nice though. Very friendly place if I can remember..."

Putting Ae Sook back down on the soft, sandy ground after that, Mi Na waved her arm for Bom to sit with her and then plopped her butt down on a towel she had bought upon getting there. It was a very large one, and when she sat on edge, there was more than enough room for Bom to also sit on the other side with room to spare. Both women were very petite and the towel really was large. Ae Sook sat in the sand when her mother sat on the towel and started to sift her fingers through the sand. Her eyes never left Bom, even though her fingers were occupied playing in the sand. It looked like she was trying to figure her out by looking at her. Ae Sook was always like that. She always knew good people, which made Mi Na proud. At least she didn't go up to the bad sorts of strangers. If she did, Mi Na would never get any sleep worrying about her daughter since she talked to strangers so often.

Mi Na couldn’t help but laugh a bit when she watched her daughter blink a couple times when she looked down at the pile of sand her hands had been subconsciously playing with. Mi Na then ran her fingers through her golden hair and crossed her ankles in front of her before pulling her legs closer to her body and then digging her painted pink toes into the sand. Ae Sook smiled blissfully down at what she had been messing with and Mi Na could almost see the child in her daughter again rather than a calculating adult.

”I was going to make a castle. But…the sand just falls down. You see?” Ae Sook showed the woman at Mi Na’s side what she meant as she ran her fingers through the sand and watched as it fell from the pile and through her fingers back down to the bottom of the pile little by little. With a smile, Mi Na reached forward and pushed at the sides of the little pile of sand and said, ”That’s because you have to get the sand wet first. When it’s wet it sticks together better” She then reached over to their back pack that was off to the side of the blanket and grabbed a small water bottle that they had filled with water a few hours ago. The water was warm and needed to be replaced, so Mi Na gently poured the water over the sand, letting it trickle a little rather than dumping it all.

Once the water bottle that had been half full, was completely empty, Mi Na put the cap back on the bottle and put it back in the back pack. She then twisted around and started to ball the wet sand up a little bit and showed that it stayed together when it was wet. It wasn’t wet enough to be slushy or muddy, but just wet enough to be solid enough to mold. Almost like clay, but not SO solid. ”Oh. I see.” Ae Sook said at seeing her mother play with the sand, and quickly stood up. ”Umma. Can I have that bottle? I’ll go get more water and wet sand from the water down there…” she pointed towards the water and Mi Na nodded. ”Okay…” she then reached and grabbed the bottle again and handed it to her daughter. ”Bom Unni. Want to help?” Ae Sook said to Bom with a smile and held her hand out to the woman next to her mother. Laughing that Ae Sook hadn’t asked her mom to come with her, Mi Na leaned back and slid her toes through the sand a little more, feeling the warmth of the sun as it beat down on her barely covered arms, stomach and chest.

"ae sook i would be honored to come with you." she said playfully to the little girl and then looked at mi na who seemed to be relaxing at the moment. "we'll be right back then." she reassured mi na that she was not trying to kidnap her daughter and stood up and walked to the beach with ae sook helping her fill the bottle and supervising that she didn't get pulled in with the tide. after all that would most likely end in tradegy if something like that happened. bom didn't want to imagine a world without ae sook - there was something special about her she could already tell. ae sook was so loving. walking back to the spot she plopped down in the sand again moving to help ae sook gather the sand for the castle. she glanced over at mi na and then decided to keep ae sook busy so that the woman could rest a bit. i did not count words. tagged for yooh. this is bad x.x this template was made by wonderstruck. of atf!

It was nice being able to relax while someone else made sure Ae Sook didn't get into trouble. Yet when she finally had a good baby sitter keeping her daughter company, Mi Na couldn't help but feel a pulling at her chest, wanting to join her daughter down by the water instead of watching this new friend of Ae Sook's walk her down. She didn't want them to see how much it affected the jealous side of her, so Mi Na opted to acting like she wasn't too concerned and was enjoying the sun. Even though she watched her daughter like a hawk as they were down by the water...when the two came back Mi Na relaxed against the towels more comfortably and watched her daughter carrying a bottle that looked like it was going to spill over and lose the water.

Luckily, the two got back with water and Mi Na hid behind her sun glasses, acting as if she was resting while she really was keeping an eye on the two. When Ae Sook and Bom got back, Mi Na even rolled over so she was on her stomach on the towel, and put her face down where her feet had been so she could easily rest her head on her arms and watch the two play. This girl seemed sweet, and seemed to genuinely care about her daughter. This was a good find for Mi Na. Maybe now she'd have a good baby sitter that she wouldn't have to pay, rather than trying to find a local baby sitter to pay.

Thinking about that, Mi Na sat up on her elbows and watched the two for a little bit before asking, "So Han Bom-Ah." Mi Na started off before pausing and pulling her sun glasses off her nose and up to her head to pull some hair out of her face as she looked at the other girl. She wanted to prove to this woman that she was genuine and interested in her, so eye contact was crucial rather than hiding behind sunglasses. But then again, hiding behind sunglasses helped to hide when you are trying to use someone. "You said your here visiting family? Do they live close by then? Or did you have to come far for the beach?" it would be amazing if she managed to convince this girl to let her stay with them for a while, but even more amazing if it was a beach house. Beach houses were always so amazing.
