It's been quite a while since I logged on.....too many projects.

I thought I'd give an update on the progress on the truck.

The engine has been completely overhauled. We've added the correct front wheels, stretched the frame, relocated the fuel tank, added a step box under the passenger side door, added a tool box, replaced all of the air lines and built the swamp cooler. We're getting the electrical system back in shape and then we're about done. In the next few weeks, we're going to be spending some time on the weathering and cosmetic details like the pink bondo on the fenders and the "T2" decals.

I've attached a few pictures.

Thanks for the update! Just visited your website and noticed even more pictures, looks fantastic, you must be really proud (and I'm very jealous biggrin.gif ). As I'll never see the real thing, like others I'm going to build a model but I don't know what the 'walking beam' suspension looks like. Do you have any pictures of the suspension/ rear of the truck please? Thanks in advance

Andrew

Hi Dan,
nice to finally meet and also see the Bulldog at Huntsville. Looks like you are making good progress with the Duel truck, this is just my opinioun, the one thing that let her down was the lengh. Sounds like you have remidied that, how much extra lengh did you add? and how did you find out the lengh of the original?
Because my truck also under went new frame rail sections, I was going to get it as close to the Duel truck as possible from pictures. Then I decided against it, and kept it to the original build sheet of 240" wheel base. Steven.
