It seems to be quite rare to find Duel as a singular story.

It nearly always seems to be written amongst others, like in the 'horror stories of the road'. Which is still nice, but i'd like to see a nice hardback release all on its own, with a few pictures too. Would make a great collection piece.

Maybe this is just something rare over in the Uk, who knows?

The story isn't actually that good when you read it, in my opinion! I didn't really take to Matheson's writing style. In his interview on the Duel DVD he admits a lot of the things that made the story come to life so well were added by Spielberg.

This is a rare instance where the movie is actually better than the short story.
