June 1st-3rd, 2012 Adjusting to the new leadership within the town of Canton, the new Baron was accommodating to listen to all concerns and matters. The witching hour had been relentless as usual, but under the command of the new Lord Balen Tallos, all had taken a new turn of organization and survived yet another night. In the drizzling morning hours, Breakfast with the Baron was outlined with a solid training session that consisted of pairing up Knights in different scenarios to help prepare them against unanticipated odds they may be faced with, and shield wall training.

With the impending war of Tor against Isen, resources were greatly needed. To gather such materials for forging and repairs, the townsfolk of Canton traveled to an old dwarven mining operation called the Dourstone Quarry. Within the darkness of the dark chilling mines, they fought endless hordes of subterranean terrors; and after collecting what ore they could find, they fought their way back out of the quarry. While the majority had made it out alive, there was a couple who perished in the darkness. Their efforts were commended, and they would not be forgotten.

After a long hard day of work, the townsfolk found enjoyment in the tavern by filling their bellies with dinner, stout ale, and wine. After a well satisfying meal, Court was finally held, an unexpected honor was presented at it. The current Baron, Garm Tallos, named a new successor of Canton. Prince Garm's cousin, Lord Balen Tallos, was crowned the new Baron of Canton, and yet again, all swore a new fealty to the newest leader. With glory to be gained else where, Prince Garm and his Outsiders took their leave of Canton to conquer Isen's throne, leaving the town of Canton now left in the hands of his cousin.

In the late morning hours, the town was roused by an opening rift onto Drakon's plane, releasing earth and water demons to plague the town. Valiantly the town over came these creatures, defeating them and protecting their home, but where the source came from was unknown. Canton had it's fair share of strife with the coming of a new moon, but now they must adjust to another new leader. With the war encroaching, Canton will surly face more changes in the upcoming future, but how the all will pieces fall in the end will be anyone's guess. For now, those sworn to Canton will surly do their part where it is needed.

It had been a while since she had been back in Canton, and she felt a bit out of place when she returned. Nothing was the same, and their town was ever struggling, ever changing. She had hoped to prove herself, but she failed, and she knew she would have to answer to the Baron soon enough about it, but for now hard drinks were in order. Alone she sat at the bar, half empty cup sitting in front of herself, sipping at it ever so often. Hazel eyes stared at the wall blankly, as if she was looking right through it and at something beyond. Sheathed at her hip was a shiny, golden swept, rapier; a new addition to her weaponry, and her shield rested on the floor, closely beside her.

Many things were going on in her mind that she was trying to sort out, but like always, she put on her best happy face to hide it. Tonight though, she was rather void with a readable expression, and it was hard to tell how she was feeling. The cup in front of her was lifted again to take a sip, while her other hand idly fiddled with the large ornate charm, embedded with a large black stone, that hung from a slender silver band around her neck. The necklace was something newly acquired as well since the last time she was in Canton.

Rosalind strolled into the tavern. Her eyes looked tired, but she had a soft smile on her face. With everything that was happening to her, she couldn't help but notice something. Nothing could ever keep her down. She would always keep on believing.

As she noticed her friend, she could tell something was off. If anyone could read Persephone, it would be Rosalind. The two of them have been growing increasingly closer, day after day. She sighed softly and took a seat next to her friend. Looking her over, Rosalind was still baffled at Persephone's calm attitude towards the Xelyos. She heard he did bad things to her. Either that was a lie, or the girl's memory was erased. Either way, it was best left alone.

"Something on your mind?"

Her voiced sounded a bit concerned.

"Because you know you can talk to me about anything. I might not be the marquise of your house anymore, but I am still your friend."

Her smile was warm and welcoming.

"You helped me the other night. I owe you one."

She nudged her friends shoulder.

::Dio rested in the tavern as well, at his own table. He had a mug of ale and a smile that spoke of victory, despite their pathetic attempts to ward off Izen in Miam. He noticed Persephone, and Roselind come up to her. He figured if anything was amiss, Roselind could fix it. He continued to drink with a smile just out of range to hear normal speaking voices.::

"Is that an order, or are you proposing a contract?"
"You shouldn't go Roselind, they gave me a 50-50 shot of survival. Snake they told me 100% survival."
