All it had taken was a text to Bryce and Johnny for Sebastian to put together who was runnin their mouth. He should have figured, honestly, since the lacrosse player in question was notorious for it but he had wanted to be sure before he went in for the strike.

Entering th lunchroom, Sebastian didnt even glance at the line, instead was searching the tables, looking for his rarer. He found him with a bunch of the other lacrosse players, focused on his phone as he sent off what was probably another text.

The asshole.

"Tom," Sebastian said sharply as he approached, glaring as the young man didn't even glance up--

He just grinned.

"Hey Sebastian."

"Don't give me that, you fucking gossip hound," Sebastian snapped and electricity crackled through the air around him as he tabbed Tom's phone and fried it, finally gaining the others full attention as the other lacrosse players backed off a bit. "What the fuck gives you the right to run your mouth about Kurt?"

"I thought everyone should know how much of a drama queen the little bitch is. Why do you even care? You're the one that tossed him to the curb like a--"

He did t get to finish as Sebastian hauled off and punched him, knocking Tom out of his chair, the electrokinesis right on top of him as they hit the floor, electricity pulsing through Sebastian as he punched again.

Whether it was a positive or a negative thing that Stefan was pacing the lunch room that day was still to be seen. His attention was drawn to the corner of the lunchroom the fight broke out in rapidly, and he strode across, students moving quickly out of the way as another teacher approached from the other side.

Stefan's belief that people should handle their interpersonal issues was generally interrupted when those solutions turned violent. Parents seemed to frown upon bruised students and violent reactions in general.

He hooked a long arm around Sebastian's shoulders, the other grabbing the boy's belt with a sharp tug. He yanked the boy backwards, swinging him around in a sharp movement as the other teacher dragged Tom in the other direction, separating them quickly.

"Take the boy to the nurse." He snapped over his shoulder, his grip not faltering on Sebastian. He would drag the boy to the opposite end of the school if he had to. "You're with me."

He shifted his grip to hold the back of Sebastian's jacket, like scruffing a puppy as he forced Sebastian a long ahead of him, expression cool and neutral. He didn't bother trying to drag the boy far, choosing an empty class room to push him into.

There were always reasons behind actions and Stefan preferred finding them out before making decisions... the issue was that the action was severe and it needed to be justifiable if Stefan wanted to provide any level of assistance.

"Sit down, relax." His voice held the tone of command. "Tell me your side."

It just figures that of all people to be there to break up the fight it would be the dean.

Sebastian struggled at first, simply because he was out for blood and wasn't finished with Tom yet. He had enough common sense through to kill the electricity as Stefan turned him away, the young man tense and seething a bit as he was dragged from the lunch room. He didnt put up a fight since he knew that would make things worse, hands clenched at his sides as he fel the eyes of everyone in the dining hall on him.

Good. Let them stare.

He stumbled just a bit as he was pushed into the classroom, refusing to glare argue dean so he focused his glare on the far well. Sebastian honestly had half a mind to stay standin but after a moment he moved to sit, slumping down as the fight began to drain out of him when Stefan asked for his story.

"Tom was running his moth about something that wasn't his business, trashing the name of a new student who didn't deserve it," he muttered, leaning back in his seat, eyes everywhere but Stefan. "There was no reason for it and he's supposed to be one of my friends. Friends don't do that kind of sh--" He cut himself off, deflating a bit more. "--crap. My temper got the best of me, sit."

That wasn't as complete an answer as Stefan preferred. He sat down at the desk beside Sebastian and settled, clearly willing to wait if he had to. "As understanding as I'd like to be about your circumstances I need to take into account you not only struck your friend but also damaged his personal property. Your reasons need to be more solid than he was sharing some unknown price ate information. "

Without any thing to.gauge with for as far as Stefan knew the private information was a surprise party or his diary read without.consent. The latter was worse hut not quite the level to require another student to defend.

"I need the full story. It will remain between us and the involved parties but this is the only way I can think to offer you leniency."

Sebastian tensed a bit, feeling and looking like a cornered animal even if he wasn't all that cornered. It was just a bit nervewracking, sitting there with the dean when he knew he was in trouble and the older man was asking for the entire story.

Because this entire thing was something he wanted to dean to know. Fuck his life; just..fuck it.

"...Kurt Hummel, one of the new students this year, joined the Warblers and I started flirting with him the instant I saw him. I wanted to have some fun, he wanted a relationship. It was a huge mix of misunderstanding and when I realized what was going on I stopped what I was trying to do because I didn't want to hurt him and was kind of actually dating him," he blurted out, not looking at Stefan but instead focusing on the wall over the dean's shoulder. "I messed up though and I slept with him and realized afterwards how just not right it was and I told him as much. We broke up, or whatever, and I've felt like a horrible piece of crap ever since then. Tom figured it out and started running his mouth about Kurt and the entire situation so I confronted him and attacked him because Kurt doesn't deserve that. If anyone does it's me because this entire thing is my fault to begin with."

God it was petty and he knew it; it showed on Sebastian's face how petty he knew it all was, his jaw tightening a bit, still unable to meet the dean's gaze.

But at least he'd said it.

Stefan made it his business to understand the delicate backgrounds of students that needed extra attention, so no he wasn't all that pleased to hear a good portion of that story. Being disappointed and feeling that it was a punishable act though were two different things. Both boys were facing pitfalls of life and Stefan could see they were punishing themselves and each other well enough on their own.

Rumors though led to poor behaviors out of unrelated parties. To Stefan it was a form of bullying and that meant Sebastian was defending his delicate friend. It changed the consequences to some degree, though obviously some actions had to be taken.

"I wish you'd come to a staff member or me in regards to this instead of taking matters into your own hands." There was a resigned sigh in his voice. He did have to punish the young man, but circumstances saved him from anything devastating.

"I will be contacting your parents and explaining some of the situation. You'll be expected to replace the phone you damaged and you will be suspended for the fight." There was simply nothing he could do in regards to the suspension. "I expect no more incidents for the remainder of the year, regardless of your feelings on any matter."

"I know I should have, sir," Sebastian said sincerely because he was well aware that his rash decision had been the wrong one but he would have been lying if he tried to say it hadn't felt good to punch the shit out of the other boy. He knew he was never going to be able to make any of this up to Kurt but he could at least stand up for the other and make it clear that bullshit like this wasn't going to be tolerated.

And then the punishment came down.

He winced a bit and looked down, fidgeting just slightly when his parents were mentioned but that was inevitable. God his mom was going to chew his ass out.

"What..does this suspension entail, sir? I mean, my parents don't exactly live in the state so is this like an in dorm suspension or..?"

"Ah, out of state..." Stefan paused, leaning back as his fingers drummed gently on the desk. "... I suppose in dorm suspension would be adequate. Your suspension extends to your extra curricular activities as well, and you'll be placed under a stricter curfew."

It seemed satisfying though of course he would have to smooth out the details and put it on record. He stood and offered his hand to Sebastian. "I respect your desire to defend the people you care for, I do. I just have obligations to the other students as well and policies to follow them."

He really did regret not being able to be a little more lenient, as it was part of the school's image he had to protect but he would do a least a little.. considering Sebastian would technically have been expelled.

Oh Wes wasn't going to be happy with him. At all. But at least it was just a suspension, Sebastian kept telling himself that.

"Yes sir," he said obediently, standing after the dean had gotten to his feet and took the older man's hand, shaking it slightly. "Thank you and I understand." Considering he had been expecting far worse? He'd take this without hesitation.

Now he just had to convince his mom not to flip out.

"I should be getting back to the dorms then," Sebastian murmured and released Stefan's hand, nodding to him before he made for the door, reaching up to loosen his tie some as he let out a breath.
