.personality: Someday a long time from now… it will read on Rachel’s tombstone. I just want to belong. That is all Rachel Barbra Berry has ever wanted in her whole life. Rachel was born to be a star, but she has learned from past experience that tromping all over people to get what you want doesn’t always work. That doesn’t, however, stop her from doing it anyway.
Rachel is very tenacious about getting what she wants. She never lets people get in her way. She wanted the best parts in dance class so she made sure that she danced harder and practiced more than anyone in her class. She never really played well with others. She is used to a life of solitude, because no one can stand her bossy, demanding ways. She tries on many occassion to make friends and to be a good friend, but all of her tries have failed, usually resulting in a slushie in the face.
Rachel is very goal orientated, sometimes to the exclusion of all else. She is not an athlete by any means, as a matter of fact sports of any kind, with the exception of football make her want to break out in hives. She is known for humming as she moves down the hallway.
Rachel is a dreamer. She would have to be. She has had only herself to rely on, and if she is honest with herself, she hates it.
Rachel is a very lonely person and she doesn’t make friends easily, because people are intimidated by her talent, which is unfortunate, because Rachel can be selfless when she wants to be. She usually doesn’t though, because in the past it has always been thrown back in her face.

.history: Rachel came from a stable home with two fathers that adored her. They almost adored her to a fault, because of their constant hovering Rachel was very isolated as a child. She didn’t mind it much as a young child, but when she entered school it became apparent to her that she was different from the other kids.
Her parents sent her to Public high school, because of all the private vocal coaching and what not, they couldn’t afford private school, even though Rachel probably would have thrived there. The only problem with her high school is that it had no Glee club to speak of. Rachel was not happy with the prospect of not being able to sing, so she strived to get one established at McKinley. It would not be an easy feet, but Rachel was nothing if not determined.
Rachel has had to deal with daily bullying from various groups that are higher up in the social food chain than she is. It has especially gotten worse since Kurt transferred to Dalton. She was pleased for him, but she would really rather not change her sweater every other class period.
