Kit peered into the empty studio. She breathed a sigh of relief to see that it was empty. She was afraid that some of the girls from the ballet class would be there already for their class. She was dressed in her usual dance wear, when she got the opportunity to dance that is. She had planned to go to the first meeting of the theater troupe and she wasn't sure exactly what to expect so she decided that she best be prepared. She stretched out quickly, knowing that she didn't have much time before the scheduled class began, she figured that since she had a free period/study hall, and all of her homework was completed, she would take the opportunity to practice. She started the music and started to move with the beat... there was just something about Britney Spears that appealed to Kit, and the girl in her early days could move. Kit moved easily through most of the song, letting her body move on instinct. She tried not to think too much while she danced.

The last thing Harmony had expected upon entering the studio was the sound of Britney Spears playing. She knew that other dance classes used the space at times but Tuesdays and Thursdays were ballet and ballet alone and Britney Spears wasn't exactly prime ballet music. At least to any sensible person. Setting her bag down just inside the door, Harmony watched as Kit danced around to the music playing, arms folded lightly over her chest as she did. It wasn't her kind of music in the least nor was the style of dance anything that Harmony was particularly fond of but she could respect talent when she saw it. And Kit was definitely talented. She waited out the entirety of the song, sinking down at some point to start stretching in preparation for ballet, eyes flickering to Kit every now and then. Finally, once the music died out, she sat up a bit, drawing her legs up so she could wrap her arms around her knees. "You're very talented, Kit," she praised, head tilting some. "It's not a style of dance that I find intriguing at all but you're very good."

Olivia headed to the dance studio a little early, usually, and was surprised to hear a Britney Spears song coming out of the room as she got closer. She wasn't surprised to find her roommate already inside, stretching, but seeing Kit dancing was unexpected. Olivia remained in the doorway, relaxed standing where she was in a way few people managed. She would do her own stretching in a moment, but for now she just watched Kit move. "She's right," she said finally after Kit and finished and Harmony spoke up. Olivia made her way into the room. "You dance wonderfully."

Kit finished dancing and was resting her hands on the barre when she heard Harmony's voice.
"Oh!" Kit exclaimed, turning around quickly, her hand raised to her chest to try and still the already rapidly beating pulse. She quickly glanced over at Livvie, her cheeks coloring slightly, as she looked anywhere but at the two girls.
"Thank you," She said gratefully. "Is it time for your class already. I'm so sorry," She said quickly as she moved to gather her things. "I meant to be out before you even got here."
She looked at Harmony as she picked up her bag. She shrugged it on her shoulder a bit. "I didn't think that I would like it either, but the style is actually very empowering, and my therapist thought it was a good idea, after what happened last year."
She glanced around the empty studio. She knew that she was starting to feel comfortable here if she had mentioned what happened last year to these girls, so she was taking that as another positive step in the right direction.
"I think ballet is beautiful also, I used to take it when I was younger, but I couldn't continue to take it and swim at the same time." She said, tilting her head some, looking between the girls. "How long have you both been dancing?"

Pushing herself up to stand now that her stretches were done, Harmony wiggled her fingers at Olivia in a bit of a wave before she was focused on Kit again.
"You're fine, you're fine. We're both early, nothing to worry about," she mused with a wave of her hand, her other resting on her hip as she put on that air of cool confidence in an attempt to seem more mature. She tilted her head a bit when Kit mentioned a therapist but really it wasn't her place to ask and she wasn't all that interested in knowing.
Wasn't like she knew the girl very well as it was.
"Oh since I was little," Harmony said proudly, puffing up a bit as she beamed at Kit. "I've always been the dancer in my family. Cooper is the actor and Blaine's the singer."

Olivia put her bag down, out of the way, and then started her own stretches. She wondered about the mention of a therapist, but she wasn't going to push. They hadn't known Kit very long, and she didn't see the other girl very often (yet). "I've always found dancing good for the body and soul," she said instead.
She tilted her head slightly as she leaned into another stretch. "Me too; my mother runs a dance studio. She always jokes that my brother and I were dancing and singing before we could walk and talk." Olivia didn't know if she would pursue it in college or as a potential career like Shane was, though. She just enjoyed it.
