.personality: Stefan harbors an old, thoughtful soul. He is reserved and speaks in a formal manner, with a gentle, focused intent. He is patient and often understanding, willing to listen when there is a need for it. There is a strong sense of authority that follows him, a commanding of respect. He regards everyone with a level of similar respect when its given, and provides as much as he feels is appropriate for those who work for him.

There is a darker undercurrent that moves through him as well. He lives a contradictory life, standing behind multiple contending groups, machinating what could only be called chaos at times. .history: Born and raised in old Romania. Stefan was the first born child of Petru and Vera, and immediately cast aside to a wet nurse. As a baby he was weak, afflicted with colic and as he grew into a toddler he had a poor constitution. It was all quite depressing, considering he was meant to inherit as the first born son. He was detatched from his family in a way but soaked up information instead, as much as he could. 
His sister, Zsuzsanna when she was born was also afflicted with hemophelia and he became very close to her over the years, while brother Arkady was groomed to take over for the family. Stefan was valued by his younger brother for his thoughtfulness and home grown education, which allowed Stefan to feel more connected to this younger generation than to his parents, aunts and uncles. 
His dream was to fix Zsuzsanna's maladies and despite his own illnesses and weakening body he entered into medical studies, showing a fondness for chemistry. He also showed a natural talent.. a disturbingly natural talent and soon he discovered an ability beyond comprehension... 
And was thrown aside from his home as a cursed being. Stefan fought this decision but soon learned that Zsuzsanna had died soon after his disowning from his family, and he feared that she was killed out of fear due to Stefan's own medical problems and what he soon presented with in his adolescense. But Stefan had grown strong as he learned more of his strengths and stepped out into the world, traveling the expanse of Romania by horse. 
Once chance game, Stefan moved on to Europe. absorbing more information and discovering new things about the world. He still sent letters home to Arkady and his wife Mary, staying in contact with his namesaked nephew and eventually he was invited to return, providing his nephew with education from his travels. 
Despite being accepted back into his famly after so many years Stefan still desired to step out as his own man and continue his desire to educate. When given opportunity Stefan traveled by sea across to the Americas, landing in Ohio comfortably to establish a few private endeavors to create a monetary basis, though he never had much issue with being financially stable.
These private endeavors weren't exactly legal though. Stefan created a rather extensive underground business that florished even in quiet Ohio towns... though that's most likely why. Quiet towns seem to harbor the darkest secrets. He established legal endeavors as well, backing charities and providing training and work opportunities to young graduates of colleges. His family is long established in the community, and he's actually registered as the 7th Stefan Tsala of his family to reside in Ohio. Their family has very strong genetics... 
For a few years Stefan had business in California, with a William Brooklier. The two became rather close in their business, close enough that when the family couldn't conceive they requested that Stefan be their donor. He agreed, as well as accepted any potential parental rights if the two of them ended up dead... 
Which happened. 
Stefan picked up a young Bayle Brooklier from California after the death of his parents, the 7 year old being scurried away back to Ohio to be brought into the Tsala family. While Stefan was an attentive, good father, he was also a bit aloof, out of practice with raising children. He chose to raise Bayle as a proper gentleman, attending to his every need as they came and providing him with every advantage... 
Including a private school education with Stefan as the dean. His shadier aspects have begun to show a little towards Bayle, and Stefan has never hidden anything about his parents, particularly his father, William. Now, Stefan... well, perhaps Bayle was getting to an age where he could be told more private matters.
