Title: All this and heaven too
Description: 6-16-12, iso Kris
Eli Bennet - May 30, 2012 02:48 PM (GMT)
Eli had gotten there early, figured it was better to be early than late and leaving early gave him a better chance of escaping Cae's grasp. He loved the girl, he really did, but things were different in little ways and it bothered the fuck out of Eli.
The cafe was... moderately busy; it was a nice place, some could call it cute. It served it's purpose.
He'd ordered a walnut roast coffee or something and a muffin (chocolate chip, horrible and wonderful), and taken up a spot near the door while he waited for Kris to arrive.
So interesting, so, so interesting~
Eli shifted in his seat, placing his ankle against his knee as he leaned back. Nice day out.
Kris Morgan - May 30, 2012 03:22 PM (GMT)
Kris was running a few minutes late, as was per his usual when he wasn't going to work. Erin had ragged on him long enough that he had finally contacted Eli, just to shut the girl up.
He rolled his eyes a bit when he thought of her. She was never someone that he thought he would be friends with, but he should be used to his life being upended by know that he should be used to it. He was feeling better since his return to St. Fabray, he wasn't 100 percent, not by a long shot, but he was getting there.
He tried not to dwell too much. Dwelling never did anyone any good. He entered the cafe, spotting Eli, he motioned the counter with his head and went to get his coffee and a muffin. It sounded like a dark roast morning, he needed the jolt. He still had problems sleeping.
Armed with his coffee and banana nut muffin, he mad his way over to the table where Eli sat.
"This seat taken?"
Eli Bennet - May 30, 2012 04:07 PM (GMT)
Eli's lips twitched up as his eyes followed Kris around the place. He looked mostly the same as the last time he had seen the other, there were a few small differences, the dark circles under his eyes, hair was a little longer, Eli got the feeling that he was a little jumpy, tired.
He took a small sip of his coffee - it was still unbelievably hot - setting it and his hands in his lap. He gave a slight smile, head tilting up to look at Kris. "You know, it is, but I'm shallow enough to offer it up an attractive guy like you~"
Kris Morgan - May 30, 2012 08:59 PM (GMT)
Kris couldn't help the grin that spread over his face. "Same old Eli, I see," He said dryly, as he flopped down in the chair across from him, taking the lid off of his coffee and adding some creamer before replacing the lid.
He slipped off his jacket, and hung it on the back of his chair. He didn't really want to get crumbs on it. He was dressed in his uniform, so he would have to be careful eating.
"How've you been?"
Eli Bennet - May 31, 2012 05:34 AM (GMT)
Eli's smile didn't change. "Why change something that isn't broken darling?" That wasn't true, there were slightly changes, little to him, but it was so much more easier to let go here. Cae and Robb got along well now, and Eli and Robb were working on...
His eyes flashed slightly with something that was close to satisfaction, enjoyment. He was pleased and he was going to damn well show it.
"I've been fine darling~" His eyes shifted, coffee cup going back to the table. "Have a new power, keeps Cae entertained and our house full." He grinned, eyes wrinkling slightly; Eli was getting better at sending things back, but Cae didn't like it when he did that. "And even though I'll gladly take up your time to talk about myself, I've heard Erin talk."
His head tilted a little to the side, smile almost completely gone as he looked at Kris earnestly. "Are you..." Okay wasn't the right word. Fine was a word that no longer held meaning. "Going to be okay?" Talk said Kris wasn't okay at the moment, and looking at his friend, Eli was likely to agree, but the hope of being okay in the future... that was a nice hope, a nice thing to know.
