lu says: `obviously i’ve known susan my whole life. she is my older, and only, sister and we do have that connection. i do feel comfortable talking to her about certain things that i wouldn’t with ed or peter who are the people that i generally go to first. but she knows things that they don’t and it all works out. she’s really pretty too, and she’s smart, and like perfect and everyone loves her, and all that stuff. so i suppose maybe, i kind of get annoyed with that and jealous of her from time to time. but that’s normal right? and though sometimes i think i can get really fed up of her, i do love susan. and i’m very happy that she is my sister.

susan says: `it's amazingly hard to hate lu. really it is. she isn't a stick in the mud like me at all; and i'm not just saying it because she's my sister, either. i love her to death, but just because i do doesn't mean i have to forget that she's got flaws like the rest of us, especially me. which is mainly what i think she's good at - keeping me level-headed and making sure my head doesn't inflate too big. even though sometimes i can get mad because of her blunders, she's always so warm and courageous...well, like i said, it would be hard to hate her, even if she wasn't my sister, since this is queen lucy the valiant we're talking about. of course i love her. and i know that when i go to her for help (since my pride will allow me that much), i'll always get it. always."

susan says: 'I actually can't say I know Roxanne very well - only that since Archenland and Narnia are very good neighbors, it's not surprising to me that she represents everything I've always liked about the country (and no, I don't mean the fact she's human, not Talking Animal, since that doesn't really matter much to me at all), and more than that. I actually quite envy her because she's nobility, yes, but she's so much more independent. Like Lucy, I suppose you could say, only with dark hair, and I hate to say it but what I most dislike about her is her blasted arrogance. We're a pair of two conceited little things, I think sometimes, but I can't say I like being undermined. But still, otherwise, Roxanne is wonderful. Even though I'm three years older than she is, I feel as though I'm the one that should be looking up to her. (Which I don't, not literally at least, since I'm also three inches taller.)'

corin says: `well i liked susan from the first day i met her. she’s very pretty after all as anyone can see. but i guess that we just never really clicked. which i can understand why, she’s really the type to fallow the rules, and i’m not. i would have thought that she disliked me for a long time but we have gotten closer. and in calormen i think with what was threatening to happen to her, and that kind of desperate times... but we got closer then. so now we’re from just kind of friends to better friends. and i still really like her, what's there not to like?

name says: `queen susan is certainly the prettiest lady in court. and perhaps the one I spend the most time with. though i suppose we are very good friends and can talk about anything, i still can't get over the line between commoner and queen. there is something really special about her. dar says: ` i do hope that i’m not the only one who finds the title susan the gentle to be just a bit misleading… i do think she had some preconceived notions about me before meeting me, and that didn’t ever help our relationship. thankfully though I was intelligent enough to not find her as someone that i would ever consider being with, so that has been the saving grace in our relationship. how we both can sit back and laugh about the people who believe we’re in love. And it’s not that we hate each other, we just don’t like each other. we don’t get along, and we never had. Sometimes i kind of think she is jealous of me, and i’m not being cocky, i really think she’s jealous of the fact that lucy likes to spend time with me. maybe i’ve used that to my advantage in the past, but i’ve never meant to even come close to getting between sisters, but i digress. susan is queen, and she is a good one, that in and of itself is a great quality. i just can’t see us… becoming friends, but we aren’t not friends. that’s all.

susan says: ` Just to establish this, first of all...I sometimes don't mind him as much from time to time, but most of the time, I only tolerate him for Lu's sake. She adores the man...though I can't understand how. For me it's more of a loathing that I have to suppress, since we are of allied countries and no personal enmity could get to to - oh, by Aslan, can't you just get it through your thick skull that I don't banter with him because I like him? You've no idea how many times people have come up to me and suggested that. He amuses me from time to time, and I'm almost certain that when I get thrown in a loop he finds it funny too, and we do compete over attention from Lu, but she's the one who likes him, not me. To be honest, I can't remember a time when we haven't been rivals, if not for Lucy, then for...well, I don't know what, really. I just know this man flusters me, mainly since his reputation precedes him in court, and it's not exactly a good one. But then again, coming from the same people who say I sleep with my brother (it varies which one, and yes, I do quite agree, it's disgusting) on a regular basis...well, I could get over myself and try and get along. But it's hard, so very hard. I think both of us are too pig-headed for something like that. (Or probably just me. I think he'd say so.)
