Ah, the Louisiana night life. If there was one thing this entire state was good at, especially down in New Orleans and Bon Temps, was the party life. It helped that one of the Vampire courts were down here, not to mention the Vampires coming out of the Coffin, the city was becoming a hot-bed of activity. Not just the supernatural kind either…there were too many fang-bangers coming down now…people looking for the vampire life. Sometimes Logan almost wished they would’ve kept their nails in their tombs…but who was he to judge. Just because they sucked the life-force of anything to keep themselves..un-dead.

Well that was a grim way of looking at it..

It was a Friday night, dust was giving way to twilight, and the moon was showing that Cheshire grin. There were young kids in the street, bouncing around, partying, drinking in the streets. The streets were still alive with music, people, and lights. It was like a new version of New York, but New Orleans had that…old feel to it. Not to mention the people of the shadow’s lingering around. The voodoo culture had yet to fail down here, and it was more than fun to watch the masters of the art mess with the tourists.

Logan took a deep breath of his cigarette, holding the smoke in his mouth, tasting it. He let it out in rings, amusing himself as he waited for his companion inside the bar he was leaning against. It was a wonder Logan even spent time down here, it was a good drive to get here, but to be in the Mecca of the Supernatural…well, even Logan couldn’t argue that. However it was the companions he would encounter here…friends who wanted nothing more than to entertain themselves with fangbangers and tourists who know so little, and who are more than willing to follow a perfect stranger into the bayou.

As Logan waited, taking another drag on his cigarette, he heard a shuffling in the alley behind him. He turned his head only a little, and spotted a man approaching him. ”How’s-it Shadow Man?” Logan gave the man a smirk, placing his cigarette in his mouth. The man paused, then gave a very low chuckle. ”You bein’ a native yeah?’ The man shuffled closer, watching Logan curiously. ”I know your tricks friend, I’ve seen ‘em all..” Logan smiled at the man, before he took his cigarette from his mouth and held it at his side. “ye-ah, I’m sure you ‘ave ‘ey?’ He chuckled again ‘Be watchin’ them tourists ye-ah? Be seein’ ya’ The man walked off, flipping a gold coin in his fingers as he made his way towards a group of teens walking up the street.

Logan watched the man for a while, before he finished his cigarette and tossed it on the ground, then made his way back in the bar. His friend who was supposed to come out about fifteen minutes ago was cuddled up in a booth with two of the young girls who had come in earlier…Scoffing, Logan made his way back to the bar, where only a few seats were available. He made his way to one between two women, and as he sat down, he looked to the one on his right “This seat taken?”

Generally speaking, Luciana was not the sort for bars. It didn't really matter what the situation was, she simply was not fond of them. Indeed, even in vamp friendly bars like this one, she stood out. Mostly because of her age. You could tell young vampires from those older ones - the younger ones were more into the scene, into the sheer ridiculousness of the entire thing.

The older vamps tended to be calmer - they watched with intense gazes, luring others to them with their sheer presence.

Luciana was not the eldest vampire in the room, she was sure. But she was old enough. And, more importantly, she had a human life time of the training of nobility to add a certain regality of bearing. It seemed to intrigue and intimidate by turns, something the Italian vampire was more than okay with. It meant that eyes were on her - she did like the attention - but none were approaching her.

Blue eyes - rare even now in her home - glanced over at the man. "Feel free. Little enough room, I wouldn't deny another person a seat, even if someone had been sitting there." The other woman looked ready to protest, until she saw the man.

Logan gave the woman a soft smile. ”Thanks” He slid into the seat, glancing at the woman on his other side who seemed like she was going to protest, but she gave him a coy smile instead, turning abruptly to whisper to her companion. Logan gave a sigh as he spread his arms onto the bartop, and waved the bartender for a drink. The man nodded, and went to serve up Logan’s beer. Leaning back a little, Logan was going to turn to the woman he initially spoke to, when the one to his right tapped his arm.

”Are you a native?” She bit her fingernail, her voice thick with a northern accent. It was obvious from there she was a tourist, and not only that, but he could smell her human scent, and her thick, childish body spray she all but coated herself in. His nose burned, and he had to brush it with his hand as he looked away from her. His beer had his attention, and he took a long drink of it before he turned to respond to her. “Yah, well, close enough, Bon Temps is my home, New Orleans…well..” He waved his hand. ”Is New Orleans.” He shrugged lightly, and the girl giggled. ”Your accent is soooo southern…it’s sooo cute.” Logan gave a half-hearted chuckle before he took another drink. “Thanks.”

He chose to turn his attention to the calmer, more mature woman who was on his other side. Making a point of ignoring the other by turning a bit towards the other woman. ”Thanks for the seat. “ He gave her a little smile. “You from ‘round here?”

He was attempting to make small conversation, a larger attempt to avoid the petty children in the area.

Well, if nothing else, Lucia had to give the man props for having the good taste of not ogling the girl on his other side. She was pretty enough, but she looked like she had all the intellectual levels of a hole filled rock.

Her next words just proved it. "Generally, when you are in the South, you are more than likely going to hear Southern accents." The sarcasm was dripping from her accented voice as she motioned to the bartender. He moved over to the microwave, nuking a bottle before handing the true blood to her.

"No need to thank me." Luciana assured him, shrugging off his thanks and returning his smile with a faint one of her own. Was she from around here? The vampire shook her head.

"Not even a little." She said, smiling a little. "I was born in Venice. I've lived in a few different areas. Came down here for business, decided I liked it." She took a sip of her drink, looking at it, before glancing at the man beside her. "Bon Temps, hm? I've had to do a bit of work there, myself."

She didn’t seem the cheery type, that was for sure. Logan was a little stunned when he saw the bartender pop a bottle in the microwave and then hand it to her. The red-hued liquid visible enough to Logan’s eyes. He didn’t often encounter Vampires this close, he made a point of avoiding familiarity with them infact. It wasn’t anything personal, or even the whole, they’re going to suck him dry cause he’s a cat thing…He just never was really fond of the whole…I drink the life essence of someone else..thing.

He put it behind him though, and for now, was only mildly turned off from her unhappy demeanor. Though that wasn’t a reason for him not to talk to her, instead, it was a reason for him to continue conversation. Logan never left someone gloomier than when he met them, and it was typically a disturbing personal mission to make people like her, who seemed highly unenthused, rather happy…or happier.

So he had to admit, when she began on how she wasn’t from here, even a little, and cracked a smile Logan was pleased with his start. So she was from Venice originally, a beautiful place from pictures on the internet and what he’d seen and heard. Her accent was beautiful too, the smooth lyrical notes of Italian fit into her tongue perfectly. Not to mention she didn’t have the typical appearance of someone who he would figure to be vampire, or Italian for that matter. Though she had said she moved here for business, and had more business in his home town of Bon Temps.

“Really now? I’ll ‘ave to show ya’ ‘round Bon Temps.” He gave her a grin. It wasn’t anything other than Logan’s classic, I’m flirting with you because it’s my nature and I mean no harm, grin. “’S a fun town yeah. We got a lot to do…kinda.” He took a drink of his beer, before he shifed to face her a bit more. “What kinda business ya’ got there?” He dropped his chin a little, a smile plastered on his lips. “If ‘ya don’ mind me askin’?”
