But, can he really leave Tron that way?

As for Clu, don't worry, he will snap out of it and get over himself pretty quickly. Until the next time he flips out over something.
This is the second time Clu's done this type of thing since he uploaded Kevin's full AI consciousness and moved to live under the Sea of Simulation.
(See? Told ya it would be fun - it's like having an emotionally-imbalanced teenaged version of Kevin - OH YAY!) XD

((OOC: Hey, no worries...it happens. Take your time. Plus I think we hit ya with some pretty heavy stuff to have to follow, what with Clu and Tronzler each having sort of a breakdown and/or epiphany depending on one's perspective of it. Two programs going mental is probably the last thing Alan expected to encounter first-thing on the Grid, and man we're definitely a mess, but, then again, that's just another reason why we need you, Alan-1. Now isn't that validating? xD))
