Welcome! This is a brand new, fresh out of the oven intermediate site. It's kind of an alternate universe, in the sense that the events of Chain of Memories and KH II HAVE happened, but the characters have gone back in time, so these things haven't happened yet. So will they? It's up to you to decide! For more information, please read the plot. Take a look around and see if you like the site. Be sure to read the important topics (links conviently on the left of this) to make sure this is the site for you. Just remember this is supposed to be fun; a little bit of effort is really all that we ask for. So just poke around and if you have something to say (even as a guest) feel free to do so. Guys, if you have the muse, don't hesitate to post! Thanks, and welcome again! By the way, WE NEED A KAIRI AND A SORA. PM RIKU IF YOU WANT TO APPLY
Oh, and be sure to tell your friends about us!

General Rules

I. when you join our site
•» By registering on this site you are agreeing to these rules. This should be obvious, but just in case. We do hold the right to uphold our rules and reprimand users. If you find a rule unfair then simply contact the admins with why you think the rule is unfair and we'll work it out. Simply rebelling will just make our jobs harder and nothing will be resolved.

•» Register with your character's name. Do not decorate your name, just leave it be. Use correct capitalization and spacing; unlike ProBoards, InvisionFree allows both when you sign up. If you register with the wrong name contact an admin to change it for you. Not only does this make the site look clean, it also tells us you read the rules.

•» Because the site is brand new I'm going to crack down on activity a bit. After signing up you have one week to post an application. If you post an incomplete application then you have one week to finish it, from the day it's posted. Members, please post at least once a week. Once we have ten active approved characters I'll loosen up on activity a bit. But for now please stay active. Not just coming online, but posting in roleplay.

•» When you join you will be a validating member. Validating may only post in a few select boards to avoid spam. Once you've registered, simply post your application. Once your application has been approved your account will be validated manually by a staff member.

•» You are only allowed one character per account. No exceptions. Not even for twins. You're characters won't always be together. Having more than one character on an account makes it cluttered and rather unsightly.

•» You're allowed only four characters. Two canons, two originals. Two girls, two boys. This is just to keep things evened out. If you have all four and want to add more then contact an admin for permission. Be sure to keep up with them! If a lot of members are starting to create more than four characters then we'll increase it.

•» Before you make a second character, your first must have fifteen roleplay posts. Your post count will only increase with roleplay boards. Before you make a third character then both of your first characters must have ten more posts. You must be able to keep up with all your characters.

II. keep your account clean
•» A clean account makes the site look clean. Not very many people want to join a messy looking site. So don't clutter your account. Remember, simpler is more appealing.

•» Avatars must be 100x100. No bigger. Nor can it be smaller than 80x80. Large images can stretch and distort the board. Small images are distasteful.

•» Signatures cannot stretch the board. They can't be more than 650 pixels wide. Nor can they be excessively long. Don't clutter your signature with a bunch of smaller images. Please don't advertise in your signature; only links from this site are allowed.

•» All images must be of or relating to your character. They must be of good quality: no large images that have been squished, no small images that have been stretched. Those can be annoying and cluttered. If you need icons then check out photobucket or livejournal or just ask someone to make some. All images must be PG13, nothing pornographic plzthx.

III. it's all about respect
•» Now, you don't have to go out of your way to be nice to people. Just don't start hate wars. If a fight is about to start then take it to PM or IM or somewhere OTHER THAN the board and CBox. If you cause too many problems then you'll be banned.

•» Please, be welcoming to new members! In order to make the site grow new members are needed. Otherwise the site doesn't go anywhere. So just try to include them in on roleplays and conversations.

•» If you don't like someone then that's fine. Just ignore them. If you're being ignored then leave the person alone. Don't cause problems, please.

•» I welcome and encourage opinions, ideas, and suggestions. People who want to help out the site give a good impression and in all honesty I like it when people get involved. However you must be respectful. If you're condescending, critical, insulting, or just plain rude in how you voice your opinions then you will be ignored or just kicked out. Present your opinion in a respectful, civilized way and you'll get better results.

•» Anyone is welcome to the site, no matter where you're from, who you know, what religion you are, or anything. You can even be prejudice (as long as you keep your insulting and hurtful thoughts to yourself and cause no trouble). Just do not say anything that can hurt anyone from any ethnic group.

•» If you are harassed by another member then please contact a staff member. Don't ignore it, they'll just do it again. Tell a staff member. Don't cry wolf though, that can cause just as much (if not more) trouble.

Roleplay Rules

I. the basics are the most important
•» This is an intermediate roleplay. Meaning this roleplay will be taken pretty seriously. Now you don't have to have extremely long posts or anything. Not everyone can type ten paragraph posts, but that doesn't make them a bad roleplayer. We look for quality (ie. how interesting the post is). Now, if you have talent to type long, interesting, and well written posts then we won't stop you, of course!

•» The minimum post limit is two paragraphs. In your post your paragraphs must be solid - meaning an opening sentence, a body (often three or more sentences) body, and a closing sentence (not every single paragraph, but for the most part that's the format). Use correct grammar; post in third person and in past tense. Don't switch tenses and my gawd if you switch view points (going from "I" to "he" when referring to you character) then get a grammar book now. Try to be creative in writing, put some personality into your posts. Be descriptive of your character and where they are. Try to shift the focus of the roleplay around a bit. Just do what you can to make the post interesting to read. There are many techniques to use, go with what you're best at. Just remember good grammar will help a lot.

•» You may decorate your posts if you wish. However, no too bright or too dark colors. No glow text [if IF does glow text], no weird fonts. Only size your posts to make them smaller, don't go above the size 2 font. Use book format - quotes for speech, regular text for actions, and italics for thought. Don't use asterisks, tildes, slashes, or any other symbol unless it's used for proper grammar. Don't use images that stretch the board or take up most of your post. This will all just make your post easier to read and understand.

•» Keep OOC comments limited. Make sure the OOC comment has a post with it and separate it from your post clearly. Also, do not post unfinished posts. It's very annoying; if you type an incomplete post in a topic and someone else has to join they have to wait for you to finish the post and let's not risk the post being incomplete for a ridiculous amount of time. If we see one, then it'll be deleted.

II. group and private threads are iffy
•» If you wish to have a private thread then contact the person before tagging them. If you are tagged then you have to post. Unless you didn't agree to the tag. It's so rude to tag someone without asking and somewhat pathetic, too.

•» Of course, you don't have to ask to join an open topic. However, if someone else has joined it's best to ask. The two might have plot plans, so be polite and ask before jumping in.

•» When in a group thread follow the posting order. If you think you can't make the post, let the next person know they can skip you. Don't make them wait. If you're skipping someone then only skip that one turn, don't go on and on without them.

•» If you're in a private or group thread and want to bring in another character you must still ask to bring in the new character.

•» When joining or bringing in a new character to a group/private thread then ask everyone participating before joining. Don't just ask one person, ask everyone. Don't post saying "i'll delete this is you don't want me here" because you know that puts them on the spot. Just ask and if everyone says yes then you may post. This is all common courtesy, please just respect your fellow members.

III. time is a tricky, tricky thing
•» Liquid movement is allowed, but don't abuse it. Follow the time line.

•» Please, no time jumps. I can understand if you want a week to pass, but don't skip ahead in months or years. Something can happen during those months/years you skipped and a bunch of alternate realities will cause problems. Say in one thread your character moved into a house in Traverse Town and you skipped ahead two months after your character had settled; what happens if someone destroys Traverse Town during that month (stretch, i know, but work with me here)?

•» If you're in more than one topic, then the topic you posted in first comes first in the subject of time. Don't mix it around, since that will confuse people. I know at times time can get tricky, but just smooth it out a bit and brush over the matter. The gaps may or may not fill in on their own. Just use some common sense.

IV. fighting is a dirty job
•» There are bound to be battles. The most important rule is to use common sense. Think before you post, ponder over what your character will do. Try to think of what they can dodge and what they can't. There really is no fair way to fight, but just don't make it harder on people. Think before you post so there aren't as many conflicts out of character.

•» Do not kill characters without the player's permission. And canon deaths are NOT allowed! Unless you have plans to bring them back or something. Run it by the admins first.

•» Do NOT God-Mod or PowerPlay. You may not:
    - dodge/block every attack
    - auto-hit
    - control someone's character or their abilities/body/thoughts/emotions/memories/etc.
    - have your weaker character suddenly become exceptionally strong
    - make up new abilities in the middle of the battle
    - massacre a large amount of heartless/nobodies/npc's
    - destroy/nearly destroy a world or part of the world
I think I've covered all the bases, or at least the most common ones. Basically, don't do anything that can make someone mad.

V. relationships aren't that simple
•» Of course relationships are allowed, as long as it is not your goal to ship your character. Plus they must be in character. Face it, Sora and Kairi like each other, Roxas and Namine like each other, Xemnas will never screw Saix, and Riku is a lonely emo boy for now. There can see some exceptions (ie. maybe Roxas/Axel ship but unlikely) but only if they are tied in well. Just keep characters in character; ooc canons are a turn off.

•» NO, you may not ship your character with another character of yours or an NPC. Why? It's distasteful, annoying, and a bit pathetic. This can cause problems among other members; either most will hate the idea (justified) or everyone will be shipping characters with their own characters/npc's. Save a character for someone else, hm?

•» I'd like to avoid sex as much as possible and the subject of pregnancies won't even be touched. This is Kingdom Hearts, not a High School roleplay. If characters do have sex I want the gory details to be skipped.

•» Again, please do not make it your goal to ship your character. It's very distasteful and another turn off. If that's your character's persona or if it's a plot reason, then sure, that is clearly justified. But coming on and just trying to ship all your characters is very, very annoying. There's more to roleplaying.
