Rose entered into the tunnel, checking back over her shoulder, ever cautious to be sure she was not being followed. These were fierce times, and one could never be too careful; the slightest slip up, just a single unguarded moment could spell catastrophe for them all. Most of her family had been captured: grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles, and cousins...which is why her parents had been so reluctant to allow Rose to become an active member of the Order. But in the end, of course, mum and dad had to acknowledge that her skills were a valuable asset to the organization, whose members were dwindling. After all, Rose's face had not been seen by the public since she graduated from Hogwarts five years ago, just before the takeover; therefore she was among the few who could get around fairly unnoticed (unless, of course, she made herself conspicous), collecting information and the such.
At least, that was what she understood her position to entail. Rose had only recently convinced her parents that she was a full-fledged adult, a citizen like the rest of them, and not only entitled but obligated to serve. So, she still awaited her first assignment in the field. And despite all of her arguments in favor of her own maturity, in some ways Rose was still an innocent; at age 23, she held almost predictable ideals about how she could single-handedly make a difference in the world...it stemmed perhaps from the stories she was force-fed as a child: the sacrifices and the bravery of the Second Order of the Phoenix, and how Harry Potter and her parents solved a great riddle and defeated the dark lord. She had quite a bit to live up to, as a Weasley. But beyond that, Rose had something to prove to herself. She was a willful young woman, simply bursting with unused knowledge and thought. It was time for her to start living, and she did not care how dangerous it might be.
Satisfied that she was alone, Rose lumos-ed her wand before her in the dark corridor, twinging her nose at the faint odor of slime. Walking along, she made a few habitual turns, finally arriving at headquarters. She rapped shortly at the door with her wand, uttered the password, and entered.
