Battle for Westermill, Gather 'round, all ye players!

The Battle for Westermill begins!

So, after running the concept by our admins, I got the permission to get a little something moving.
Belle's army, currently at Witchmead, is going to gather and march for Westermill - the last stronghold in Westmarch that is not under her control. The remnants of the royal army are currently holed up in the castle along with a boatload of refugees : the situation has the potential to become a bloodbath if the royalists don't surrender, which they won't.
(For those you of you having a hard time visualizing this, I direct you to the map) Both sides are going to be doing heavy recruiting before the battle, which is where all of you come in.


Wether you want to join the invading army or be part of the defenders, the place to sign up is here! Put the side you want to be on as well as the character(s) you're joining to the battle. When the sign-ups are done introduction threads will be made for both armies before the action itself starts.

Val Rourke will be taking part as a Royalist. He'll have just arrived with Narianne Altair, so they'll both be there.

Wishing to point out that Richard, and Silvermoor, will not be aiding Westmarsh at this point, so anyone who wishes to help can do so without getting in Richard's way.

I figured out the castle we'll be using, which is actually Dover Castle

There is no visible sea - the entire castle is surrounded by forest with the Royal Highway leading out to the east
The garrison will likely defend the exterior walls as long as possible with archer cover from the higher vantage points of the interior walls
The garrison has enough food to last for roughly 6 months
The garrison has an overwhelming number of arms and armour - more than it has men to wear them

Defense will consist of, aside from the Royalists listed in Black's post:
800 refugees, 500 of which are women, children, elderly or otherwise unable to fight
1 Marshall, a strong and boisterous man by the name of Edwin Jonas
4 Captains, Val Rourke, Marcus Amadeus, Shaun DiCapio, Ronald McGunn
20 Knights, with horses, plate, full weaponry
90 Soldiers, regulars, swords, shields and bows
300 militia from the refugee numbers, sparsely trained, swords, shields and bows

Throw Red and some Riding-Hood npcs in with the loyalists. They are not really loyal but the chance to stop Belle's expansion would be enough of a draw.
