just as a query if i had a land raider and took the side sponcens off and the roof top guns could the modle pass as a rhino??? i just tink they look a bit coller than a rhino??

As long as you make it clear to your opponent what the model 'counts as' before the start of the game, then you can use pretty much anything, within reason.

expensive rhino's though.....

Indeed, although prepare for it to be far easier to target etc.
