Sorry this took me forever to get to, guys but here are the shout outs for April's OTMs!
Aiden Macdermott is our Male OTM. Played by Nick, Aiden has been a consistently developing character since the beginning of DDB over a year ago. His relationship with his brother (and for a brief while when we had his grandmother on board too) is realistic, touching, and well thought out and the character itself has just enough quirks about him that there are moments where, while reading threads Aiden's in, my mind just sort of goes "Oh! That's so Aiden." Congratulations, Nick!
Emily's Therese Bouvier is our Female OTM and I think this is definitely well deserved. This character started out as a want ad who morphed into a powerhouse personality and dynamic character that I've had the pleasure of threading with. Therese is at turns complicated and emotional as well as stubborn and strong and I appreciate that Emily has explored various aspects of her personality. Congrats, bb!
Our Member OTM for April is Phanny who is my dark queen of evil and all things love dungeon related. She joined a few months back and quickly built up a small arsenal of funny, diverse, and well written characters including Emmaline Finch (everyone's favorite Ice Queen) and Lucas Oakes. Some of my favorite moments involving characters and threads on this board have come from her creations and she's always been a dynamic presence in the cbox. Congrats, Phanny!
The Couple OTM this month is Birdie and Ace (played by Kristie and Liinen respectively) and I really do love this relationship because it started off slowly and sort of sneaked underneath everybody's radar. Their conversations about sweaters and Disney characters is touching and sweet and realistic plus c'mon. They're pretty much two of the most adorable, well meaning Mall Rats around so it's a match made in heaven. Congrats to both Kristie and Liinen on a job well done!
Prudence Higgins (played by the lovely Brandy) delivers our quote otm and I have to say I'm surprised Prudence hasn't been snagging up quote otms month after month because she says some really whacked out things (of course I mean that in a good way!). In general, Prue just has this personality that clicks with a wide array of characters and such a strong voice that it affects everything she says. Congratulations, Brandy!
