I personally believe in activity being any purchases, deployments, sales, decommissions, collection of taxes, and/or the paying of bills. Logging on is bad since some people want to see what happens to their nation, even though they are quitting the game.

could people who voted no in my poll please state why so we could possible improve on the 'definition'?

Any logged in action should be an indication of activity, just put a limit on how long taxes stack up for to stop abuse of backcollection.

No, this means you can't be deleted for inactivity and you'll be able to look like you're collecting taxes everyday while you're actually saving up. Unless it shows last time they collected taxes AND last time they did a transaction.

like said above, I think that any transaction (i.e. collecting taxes, paying bills, buying military/infra/tech) should count as activity.

maybe this will reduce the amount of tech-raiding that is done to 1- & 2-day inactive nations.

Activity means just that. Activity. I agree with all those who said so and just wanted to throw in my $.02

Although there might be trouble with back-collection, this still should be implemented.

of what trouble do you speak?

I read at one point a huge back-collection scheme made up theoretically for a situation where bills equaled activity. Although I cannot recall exactly what it was, I know it was pretty bad.

I agree. Activity should be counted as doing anything with your nation, except for logging in. Aside from that, anything else should be counted.

Just as an FYI about the backlog type scheming. Say you have a nation which is newly created. It's bills are approximately nothing. Now, you have the nation save up for a month or two and not collect any taxes during that time. Send this nation say...10mil. They pay off their bills (which equal pretty much nothing even after such a long time) and then buy up huge amounts of infra. When they collect their two months of taxes, they'll have an enormous amount, for which they paid comparatively zilch for in bills.

Activity should count as activity. Perhaps instead of working this to stop some past abuses , there should be separate times when collections and bills should have to take place. Not collecting taxes and not paying bills for 20 days results in a economic penalty like Peace Mode.
