I had a thought which could shake things up a bit.

why not add an option to make aid that you send someone secret? real nations do it all the time to prop up rather "unsavory" elements that benefit their cause. of course hiding aid would have to be expensive for the sake of balance. say 150% of the cash value of all sent items. that way sending $3,000,000 secretly would cost $7,500,000. Also conisdering the work involved in that kinda thing in real life it should take longer to expire. 15 days mebbe?

Not only that, but actually makes a reason for Banks to earn over 3 million per day. Once banks reach that status it is pointless to continue growth, as you can't aid out more than 18 million every 10 days. This still keep the 18 million cap on, but makes it a LOT more expensive to do so.

Plus about a million other reasons.

I would suggest 100% penalties, so 3 million was 6 million, 50 tech was 100, etc... but would be totally cool nonetheless.

I like it, but the price seems a bit steep, especially for when they raise the aid cap. So, instead, you ought to have to pay 150% of the money you send, so 3 mil would amount to 4.5 mil. Also, to make it more difficult to do, say that you have to give away 1/1000 of the money sent in soldiers, as in they disappear, as well as this can only be used for money. So, if I want to send 3 mil, the recipient gets three mil, but I:

Pay 4.5 Mil
Lose 3,000 soldiers.

paying 1.5x seems resonable and no this soldier thing doesnt seem necessary. just pay 1.5x of whatever you sent.

will it show up in the person who sent it trades. would be easy to correlate by time if it did. perhaps there should be a delay, perhaps even a user controlled delay. that or the transaction should be hidden on the senders side.

As far as the idea goes, I like it. It seems more realistic, as it is exactly like smuggling. And smuggling isn't free, hence the increased cost. I can see this fitting in perfectly. <clap>

Both the nation sending and recieving the aid should be able to view it under their foriegn aid. The aid transaction just can't be viewed by anyone else. This is a good idea :)
