Suppose I am away for a week and want to check to see if I've been attacked. If I log in from a hotel and someone else has done the same thing from that hotel in the past I get banned?

That is true. However, it is very unlikely that you would log in from the same hotel but it is a possibility. That's why it's greatly encouraged to get a nation sitter while your away.

I dont think so, as long as you dont trade/aid/go to war with that nation that had logged in there. No interaction I believe, and you dont get deleted.

A nation sitter? !!!!!!!!! Well, if it is a friend then chances are that he might be in the game himself. :rolleyes: Do I give the keys to the house to someone so that I can have a nation sitter? <hahaha> Quite frankly unless one is an absolute and total couch potato I can't see how he/she can remain in the game. Surely this rule must have a knock-on effect on the sort of people who play this game. I personally only keep my nation right now just for the forums. I can't help it >.<
Yea, nation sitter is the best I can say. However, even if he is a CN gamer, he can sit your nation on his computer as long as you post it here: http://z15.invisionfree.com/Cyber_Nations/...showtopic=73404 And I would wait until they give it a go ahead. -------------------- Uhhhhh, no man!

Wouldn't it make sense to have a "vacation" or "away" setting during which your nation would be frozen (i.e. no income - no bills) or is this an idea for sane people only?

That is not correct. We do not delete nations solely on IP evidence. thespindoctor, if by some chance another nation has at one time logged into his/her nation from that location than you will not be allowed to aid, trade, or war with said nation. However, it is very unlikely that it has both been used by another nation and that you will ever interract with said nation. So you probably won't ever have to worry about it. If you want to be completely safe, get a nation sitter. -------------------- |
