I never understand westerners who praise buddhism to high heaven and chastise monotheistic religions for their bad conduct, when buddhists are hardly all the non violent angels they seem to think they are.

QUOTE ( David Hume)
Hear the verbal protestations of all men: Nothing so certain as their religious tenets. Examine their lives: You will scarcely think that they repose the smallest confidence in them.

Well basically it states how slavery and torture and even eye gouging existed in Tibet back in the early 1900's... and shows many things of the Tibetans doing far more horrible things than the Communist Chinese have done...

Buddhism isn't Buddhist. Seriously, anyone who honestly studies what the Buddha said will easily realize this.

Buddha's teachings: rational, skeptical, compassionate, and open-minded.

Buddhism: superstitious, traditional, dogmatic, ritualistic.

This is different than saying Christianity doesn't follow Christ's teachings because the average Eastern Buddhist doesn't have a clue what the Buddha said. They just go the Temples and listen to [insert long fancy title that has no real meaning] [insert name].

If you watch the thing he goes on to say "the lesser of two evils is still evil" I never claimed that the communist Chinese have done grand things, but compared to what the Tibetans did before... at least there are schools now... and at least there are not a Huge majority of serfs living in extreme poverty now...

Actually, the average Tibetian is far poorer than the Average Han Chinese that lives in Tibet.

Shows how much the Han Chinese are racist against the minority nations.

I pity the fool who does not know about Tienanmen Square, The cultural revolution, Chinese labour camps and other atrocities.

yeah, of course both are "evil" as is clearly explained in the video, but compare how Tibet was when it was independent to how it is now and it is better in many respects... mainly the poverty level has dropped and literacy rate has increased... and at least there are not people gouging other people's eyes out for not obeying the Dalai Lama...

Can you blame the guy for wanting his country back? And Buddhism isn't all about being pacifist, I'd probably say I'm the rowdiest person ever and I'm Buddhist.

Nice! anyway as long as it does not go back to how it was, sure I would be fine with him getting his nation back...

Tibet is even worse then it was in the old days, since there are more human right violations under the Han Chinese.

If you don't know the truth, and just listen to the propaganda of the PRC, I suggest you don't speak on these matters.

I never listened to any PRC propaganda! I live in America, do you really think there is any PRC propaganda here? But I had near slave serfdom that is all, I am not communist, or Monarchist, but Anarchist leaning Socialist.
