Title: Here's something new
Description: please don't flame

please don't flame. I'm just throwing out a new idea.
The Research Lab
Cost - 35,000,000 and must have at least 500 tech.
effect - generates new technology for your nation to enjoy. Produces 2 tech per day (resulting in 20 tech every ten days). I know it's not alot, but Hopefully this will help some older nations get tech without coughing up the big bucks every ten days.

Your poll is broken, and as such is invalidated.
I gladly pay 3M for 100 tech within my alliance. Outsiders can give me 150 or get out. ;)
I don't see what the problem is to begin with. 3M is nothing to a large nation, or even a medium nation like myself (~33k)....And if you keep it in your alliance, you're helping the alliance grow in addition to getting some tech.
Either way, 3M for 100 is completely fair, considering the size of nations today compared to when 3M for 150 was average.

ok then forget about the price concern for tech deals. Is it still a good idea?

Not really. Aside from the name being almost identical to an existing wonder, you're paying 35 million for 2 tech per day? That's it? That's a huge waste of money. I mean, I guess if someone is dumb enough to buy such a wonder, let them do it...
But what you're suggesting is a wonder that takes 1167 days to pay off in the first place. I realize it's "free tech", but c'mon...
Hyperion321 - September 3, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
what if the tech amount was raised?
Hyperion321 - September 3, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
and actually for me, it would pay for itself in about 10-13 days

But when one has the resources in a pinned topic to make VFABIC impossible, isn't it that person's fault?
Anyway, The Research Lab is too close of a name to the current national wonder, National Research Lab. Also, free tech = free strength to many. Four hundred free strength a day.

Bad idea, not worth the money or worth the wait. Rather something that decreased the cost of buying tech would be better like -10% base cost so on..

26 tech is worth 35 million for you? Okay, I'm selling then. ROFLMAO

Just to let you know, each one has 12 for each. It seems people arent following the no VFABIC rule.

Voted for all, because I could.

You're allowed to vote for any option(s) the original poster lets you. The VFABIC rule has nothing to do with this. The rule is intended to stop people from creating spam posts just to say how cool they are and that they voted for all of the options.
Unless I'm mistaken, in which case, I'll be getting warned. Because I quite often vote for every option when someone creates a broken poll. The poll is invalidated the moment they create it, because there is no way to know who voted properly and who didn't. This is the reasoning behind voting for all options. To treat a broken poll as if it is not broken doesn't do anything besides allow an invalid and skewed opinion to be seen as truth.
