Operation ANTIOCH

Citizens of the world, tonight we launch strategic attacks against the leadership and select members of Arabic Lebanese Middle Eastern Alliance (ALMEA). The battle is now joined on many fronts. The reasons are detailed below and rest assured that private channels have been exhausted.


To the remaining members of Offspring
NATO’s difficulties with ALMEA need not be your difficulties. We have overwhelming force and friends waiting in the wings to ensure band wagons are not formed. Resistance would be futile. Live to fight another day. Do not defend ALMEA.


The Path to War
A small Aqua alliance by the name of CATS came to NATO with a request to help them. A former member of theirs that was kicked out due to treason (and who NATO also kicked out many months ago) has been making threats towards CATS to go to war with them and to lead ALMEA into conflict. The member is currently a division commander in ALMEA.

We got involved and sent many messages to ALMEA leadership. They responded by saying they would set up a conference room at their forums (they should have come to ours but we were trying to be civil. Our negotiator gets there, gets masked and receives abrasive responses to his posts asking for an opening to discussion. He finally gave up and we broke off diplomatic ties this morning after a series of escalating hostile communications from ALMEA leadership to me in game.

The harboring an enemy of our alliance, the threats from military leadership of war on our AQUA friend that we extend our protection to, the disrespectful manner in which they have dealt with our diplomatic outreach at every level, and their general unwarranted superiority complex on the world forum, all add up to an end of diplomatic efforts.

This morning, I sent messages to the major powers in Offspring advising them of the situation and asking for neutrality. We thank those alliances that chose right over obligation.


Terms of Surrender
The following is taken from the Join ALMEA recruiting thread:

Obviously facing this type of secret and sophisticated of an enemy, our fear does not permit us to even think about terms of surrender.

That being said, ALMEA as an organized force in the cyber verse can no longer be an option. Any nation under 10k that drops their AA and posts their surrender here will receive peace.



Tl;dr: NATO declares war on ALMEA. We do NOT declare war on Offspring.

I wouldn't. They have no chance, and generally when that happens, alliances tend to be ignored. I can only think of a few cases when alliances were activated in the face of huge odds.

The MHA is prepared to stand by her long time allies at NATO and should any alliance consider attacking our friends, note that they will be met with the full force of the MHA per our current treaties.

For those who question NATO, you only have to re-read Anu's opening statement. This had nothing to do with ALMEA's Middle East image. And all to do with the way they handle diplomacy or lack of.
