Title: People not replying to trade requests
Description: Makes me want to attack them

Sealbhach - August 28, 2007 11:03 AM (GMT)
I PM them, wait a day or two and still no response, even though they're clearly active.

Just say No or YES, but don't waste my time and lose me money.

My alliance doesn't allow attacks but I think people who are active and who ignore trade requests deserve to be attacked.

I also feel that way, sometimes.
It's just so frustrating >_<

The problem isn't that simple. If you have checked that the nation you offered has an open trade slot, doesn't have your resources yet and clearly has an advantage with the resources you offer, I can understand the frustration. However, most people who offer something are clearly not checking anything at all, some people even offer when you already have 5 or 6 active trade agreements. Though I wouldn't know you and I don't know how you choose who will recieve an offer.

I have all my slots full and get at least 3 requests a week, but out of courtacy I always send them a message to ask them to look else where and wish them all the best

I just don't like people who don't respond to messages in general.

I know what all you mean. Sometimes I send out 200 recruitment messages in one day to people who are unaligned and I get like 2 replies; One saying they'll join, one saying they don't want to join an alliance. Then I think yeah ok don't ever join an alliance and there's no way you'll get nuked. :J It's frustrating. <_<

it also frustrating when people send a message as soon as one trade slot is open. Almost EVERY time that happens peope dont watch if the other person already has his/her resources but just offers. I mean COMMON!!

The thing is some people get loads of Trade requests each day, if you PM someone who has all there trade slots full then i dont think you should expect a response as its just being idle and not checking up on nation 1st.
If however you send trade request to someone who has open aid slots it is only common courtesy to send message back saying yes/no.

Caesar_101 - August 28, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
most people say to pm them back if i want their resources

i don't want their resources...i don't pm them back...

atreidesphalanx - August 28, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
You can always check your Sent Messages page to see if they read your PM or not. If there's an icon of an envelope next to the PM they have not read it yet. If it is blank, they have read it. It's safe to say that if they read it and they haven't PMed or offered/accepted trade, you should look elsewhere.

Arbaces - August 28, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
neither do i generally answer to trade agreements i'm not interested in; and whenever i make an offer as soon as i see no response given but the pm/offer read, i take it as no; so should the others do; why would you think yourself so important after all. also is generally good idea to check how many free slots does the one you're making the offer has, and whether he needs your resources - if your res get the potential partner an extra bonus one, let him know. further to this sending a monthly payment the potential partner may also increase the chances of him accepting the trade.

coouldn't agree more!
i can not describe those people in words to be displayed on the forum so this will have to do... <slap>

SocCarolina - August 28, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
Just a PM? Well, if they don't answer, you can safely assume it is a 'no'.

The only thing that makes me wonder in regards to trades is if I offer an actual trade, and they don't accept or reject it after reading the message. Don't they want their slot opened back up?

Yes, of course I check that. I'm not a %@#*wit.
