Title: If I don't collect taxes for a few days
Description: How are my taxes calculated on return?
deep blue c - August 25, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
If I decide not to collect taxes for a few days (perhaps I'm waiting on a trade) how are the taxes calculated on return. Are all the previous days worked out whilst I'm not inactive, or are they all calculated as several identical days when I finally collect them?
Does that make sense? <psy?>

All past days (where you did NOT collect) are based on the situation of your nation at teh moment of collection (so if you are going to buy infra for example or an improvement.. do it BEFORE collecting to make full use of it)

Yep. Let's say you recieve a ton of money in aid. It's best to not collect while you're using that aid so that the benifits of the aid can affect each day you saved even though it may have been $340.00 citizen income the day before and $360.00 the day you collect.

tax collection = current tax income * number of days uncollected

Thanks- that makes it perfectly clear!

$83,500 is the rough estimate of how much you'd need IN SURPLUS to net the $10,000 every two days. I've already put this out there, but I guess it bears repeating.

This also has no bearing on the OP's question. The question was already answered.
The 10k you're talking about is a useless facet of the game. To a new nation, where 10k is a lot, saving up the required funds to actually gain a decent interest amount is counter-productive. They could just buy infra and make a ton more.
And to everyone else, 10k is a joke. Even nations around the 1k infra mark, 10k is nothing. I've said this before, but it bears repeating: Reading the OP is pivotal when posting.
--Edit--
FrehallenD: lulz is a corruption of LOL which stands for laugh out loud.
