Title: Rules Clarification
Description: It seems mods can't agree...

What degree of interaction (if any) is permitted between a nation and its former sitter (legal and reported, naturally)?

Incidentally, this is the relevant portion of the rules:

QUOTE
Nation-Sitting
If a user is unable to access their nation for any period of time then they may have another user control it over that period. This must be reported here and during that time these nations may not interact in trade, aid or wars (whether in cooperation with or against). Any attempts to use loop-holes such as 'money-laundering' are also illegal. If any of these rules are broken all of the nations will be deleted. Nation-Sitting may only last up to a maximum of four weeks. If longer than this is necessary then the user must contact a game mod for permission, and state who has granted it in the nation-sitting thread.

Here Justitia says categorically that any aid is forbidden.

Here unbiased mod says that a simple middleman is sufficient.

And here The Fireman says that middlemen are required -- the transactions must be laundered in such a way, however, that you need at least two middlemen or you must wait for expiry on the first transaction.

I have always understood that any sort of interaction (laundered or not) after two nations have shared the same IP for whatever reason to be categorically forbidden, as Justitia seems to post. Given the contradictory responses everywhere, however, I would like clarification on this point.

Thanks.

What Justitia said (what you believed to be true) is completely correct. Laundered or not, aid between two nations that have been on the same IP address is not allowed.

Now, say Nation A has sat Nation B. Sometime later, Nation C receives aid from Nation A for some random reason. It is still alright for Nation C to aid Nation B, so long as it has been a decent ammount of time since Nation C received aid from Nation A.

If you're not sure about a rule and have been told different answers, it's best to consult either a game mod or a member of the Senior Staff.
