Title: Welcome to the 4th Annual Tauberg Convention
Description: All NoV Members Welcome!!!!!

Nikanor - May 27, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
It has been exactly 1 year, 4 days, and 13 minutes since the first Tauberg Convention was held in the capital of Dresden, Tauberg. Now the capital of the Republic of Dresden, Tauberg is once again hosting another Tauberg Convention. This will be a deabate unlike any other, and many have been invited to this wondrous event.

We'll be discussing topics that we have in our nations, alliances, and anything else that we all have to go through. The NoV I'm sure has many things to go over, so I'll allow much time for all members of the Norden Verein to speak on their own behalves.

Topics to be discussed: Members leaving and returning
Great War IV
Alliances that have bothered yours
War(in General)
Militias
Radicals
Misc.

We all have something to say, now is the perfect time and oppurtunity to say it! Please, come join us!

Warning: Only members whom are invited to this convention are allowed to post. The entire NoV staff are allowed access, and there are people who will be monitoring this convention for spies. DO NOT attempt to use anything said here for your own good unless you are invited. Please, keep this in order aswell. Those whom post but were not invited will receive a warn from a moderator.

Thank You All!
Prime Minister Vladimir Knukonov Nikanor
Republic of Dresden

Kaiser Martens - May 27, 2007 03:38 AM (GMT)

Martens was the first to arrive, speeding through the streets of Tauberg closely followed by 2 customized Puma light tanks, which somehow were quick enough to keep the pace with the fast vehicle, uncannily managing to get to the convention site in record time while avoiding collateral damage.

Norden Verein flag insignias flying high, as usual, perfectly clear and easily identifiable. Once they saw him pass by, most people knew exactly who had arrived.

The Kaiser stepped off of the car, and one Einherjar which had been previously, literally, on top of one of the tanks quickly hurried to salute him as he passed. - "Heil!" before continuing at his side. It was his bodyguard.

Martens grinned.

"Vell, it has been a while. Good to see this country..as well as our Reich, back in one piece...ja."

He wondered where the others were.

Nikanor - May 27, 2007 03:44 AM (GMT)
Nikanor saw him from afar from the top of the the Presidential Palace Towers.

"A great friend has returned."whispered Nikanor.

His bodyguard and longtime friend Alexandrov Petrokovski looked over, "excuse me"?

Nikanor Laughed and sat back down in his chair as he began to chuckle.
"Send for the guards to open the gates and ready the beer. Also, make sure we bring out our guards to escort him here. I know his guards can take care of him fine, but it's always good to have more troops."

Zessa - May 27, 2007 03:48 AM (GMT)
Prime Minister Rius arrived in Tauberg in a Zessan executive armored car, its Nordreich and Norden Verein flags still showing below the recently painted-on Halsa emblem. David Rius emerged from the vehicle followed by a pair of Zessan agents and walked over to Kaiser Martens. "Guten Tag," he greeted the Kaiser.

Nikanor - May 27, 2007 03:52 AM (GMT)
"Ah, it is no problem at all my friend. Good to see you again. I apologize for the trash and the bodies, if there are some more, in the street. We're in the midse of an apparent civil war. Of course, my faction happened to come out on top here and we took back what's rightfully ours. Don't be surprised if you see the Anubis head, it's the emblem of our faction.

On a better note, have some beer, and make sure to whiz before the convention. Nobody likes to have a full bladder during a multi day conference! Haha"

Nikanor heard the voice again, and turned around to find nothing. He tilted his hat a bit, an muttered. "Lucario..."

Mao Zedong - May 27, 2007 03:52 AM (GMT)
Chairman Mao arrived shortly after Martens in his small personal vehicle, escorted only by only one Juggernaut Class tank, the LSF flag painted on it's side. His bodyguards trailing, he got out the car, muttered something to himself about a lack of vodka, then walked into the building. Notcing the Kaiser himself, he gave him a respectful nod, and continued.

His bodyguards trailing, he got out the car, muttered something to himself about a lack of vodka, then walked into the building. Notcing the Kaiser himself, he gave him a respectful nod, and continued.

After dismissing the voice, Nikanor was notified of the arrival of Mao. He slowly proceeded to meet him, but was stopped by his bodyguard whom informed him it may be possible that snipers followed Mao to execute Nikanor.

"Ha, I trust him enough to walk outside with him. There is no danger here."

Meeting Mao for the first time since the Maroon War was amazing for Nikanor.

"Mr. Zhedong!" he said shaking his hand vividly, "Wonderful to see you again. I apologize for the conditions of our capital, we're in a bit of a quarrel with some other militias in the area. Make yourself at home in the Vorzenhaus, plenty of rooms to choose from! Vodka is on the house, just call the number on this card! Enjoy your stay"

Mao Zedong - May 27, 2007 04:07 AM (GMT)
"It has indeed been a long time. I do not mind the troubles, I've had more then my fair share of them since the last time we met." Walking along, he winced as a long procession of NoV tanks rolling by in the street.

"I hope things remain civil, I feel just a little outnumbered. But I sure it will be fine."
He motioned for his bodyguards to stand down, and he contented himself to watch for new arrivals.

Nikanor smiled.
"You have nothing to worry about. The worst that can happen is someoen throwing a beer can at you. But by then, we'll all be drunk anyways, so nothing will probably come out of it, with the exeption of some bumps and bruises from the drunken fights afterwards! But until then!"

Nikanor laughed and walked away to talk to Martens.
"We don't have much time until the bulks arrive, and did you bring a present? I got you something!"

The Arbiter - May 27, 2007 04:26 PM (GMT)
The Arbiter arrives a few hours later in a Pelican dropships incased in the MJOLNIR armor that he has been wearing for the past 3 years. Along with him came half a dozen spartans all of them talking through hand singles. They arrive and salute the party.

"It is glad to be here" The leader said.

Nikanor - May 27, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
"Ah, maybe we speak in a different dialogue(or you just spell things wrong unanimously)! How do you all do?" said Nikanor

Kaiser Martens - May 27, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
Martens laughed. "Ja, full bladders...and politics, never, ever mix!" He said, as he started to walk inside, glancing at the multiple Anubis figures, and raising an eyebrow, he grins. "You know, you should be worshipping Lord Odin rather than this African thing, but to each their own. As long as you don't forget how to make good beer...!"

He chuckled lightly as he saw the LSF tank approach. Oh, how he loved blowing those up. He tried to withhold the little warmonger inside of him and in fact once that Mao approached he nodded respectfully. "Aa, it is nice to see each other at last without a war, 6000 soldiers and 500 tanks between us both!"

Next thing he saw was those dropships. Pretty nice. He nods to the leader. "Hello there", whom he had not actually met before however. Then he started to walk inside...

Nikanor - May 27, 2007 07:47 PM (GMT)
Nikanor joined Martens in the foyer as they preceeded to walk to the Royal Rooms.
"You've been a great friend of mine for as long as I can remember. The rooms for the rest of the delegates are beautiful, but you should stay in the Royal Rooms. They are much better, and are deeper in this complex, so if the small militias do attack, there's little if any chance you'll be scathed. Also, we need to get this place up and running again. I feel quite, small in the global spectrum, much smaller than I used to be. Is there currently any Foreign Affairs Minitries in the NoV? I have always been one with the rest of the world, and I would be happy to apply for that position."

He wasn't too scared of the outlying militias, though he wouldn't be too happy if they did decide to try to ruin the party. He motioned to one of the many guards in the building.
"Ivan right? Could you be so kind as to close the gates when all guest have arrived? IF any more arrive after the gates have close, inform them to land at the airport, and a helicopter will pick them up there and bring them here," said Nikanor.

Ivan nodded, "Right away my Lord".

OOC: Is it okay for me to post here? Way I see it, if Mao can, so can I!

OOC: Is it okay for me to post here? Way I see it, if Mao can, so can I!

OOC: Next time, I would find it better if you pm this rather than post here. I've known you for a long time now, feel free to enjoy yourself. RP is good, and ALWAYS stick to character please. Enjoy!

Matthijs - May 27, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
OOC: Right, sorry about that. Then let's end the OOC talk.

IC:

A black car parked in front of the site where the convention would be held. Small Red-white-blue flags flew on the hood. As the driver went outside and opened the passenger doors, three other people emerged. Matthijs, Chairman of the Communist Party of Hollandia; the young new president, Marina Dubois, and Jan Woudenberg, the very recently appointed \m/ ambassador to Norden Verein. He was invited along because of his new capacity, hopefully to further cement the relations between Norden Verein nations and Hollandia.

As the three entered the foyer, Matthijs recalled the events of a year ago; back then, Hollandia was a leading nation in the International Communist Party, which was at odds with then still small nationalist countries. Now, the situation was so much different. The Chairman remarked to his companions: "If you had told me a year ago that I would ever be a guest in this country, I would have called you crazy."

In the distance, they saw Kaiser Martens and Nikanor heading for the Royal Room. "Let's say hello to your old friends and foes," said Marina, with a smile. "I wonder what they are like."

Nikanor - May 27, 2007 08:12 PM (GMT)
Nikanor spotted Matthijs from afar walking towards them.
"Don't look now Martens, it's our old buddy from the ICP!"

Nikanor approached Matthijs, "HEY! Good to see you in person again! I doubt you got any of my letters, I always spelt your name wrong, never could get it down. Then again, people always spell mine N-I-K-E-N-O-R or somehing of that nature. Haha. I don't think you've ever been here before. I wish you could have arrived when this place was in better shape. It's not exactly clean as a whip thanks to the civil war. After all, Dresden cut the lights several months ago. My faction JUST took control two weeks ago. We'll get it better, until then, keep gaurds with you at all times. Militias could gain access to this place, and you never know who could get killed. But the chance of that happening is about 2%, so there's nothing much to worry about. Enjoy your stay."

Botha - May 27, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
Transvaal was planning on attending but must now regretfully decline on account of our government's collapse last night on account of our bloodied war against the Zulus on our southern border.

Nikanor - May 27, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
"I see, I express my concern. Is there anything the Republic of Dresden can do to help? We have the 5th Amoured Division on standby, and they aren't doing much here. We could declare war if they are in range, that would be a bit risky, but we could do it."

Matthijs - May 27, 2007 08:29 PM (GMT)
The Hollandian group entered the Royal Room. Jan nervously brushed the jacket of his suit. In his new diplomatic function, he was still nervous about appearing properly. The two leaders seemed to have no problem, he noticed, with the Chairman wearing a similar suit, and the President in a businesslike, yet stylish red dress. He told himself not to worry, but at the same time found his hand going through his dark hair.

Matthijs reached out for Nikanor's hand, and shook firmly. "Thank you for your warm welcome," he said. "I'm not altogether sure if I've ever received letters, it might have gone through state departments or something, instead of the Party. But no matter, now at least we will be able to meet in person. Sorry to hear about the instability here, I hope the conflict will be resolved soon."

Marina interrupted: "It did not seem very polite to have foreign guards marching around here, but for everyone's safety, I can have a squad flown in by helicopter for our protection. They should arrive in a few hours." Matthijs smiled and put his hand on her shoulder: "Ah, that's right, allow me to introduce my partners: this is Marina Dubois. You might recall our reforms of a few months ago, when our people surprisingly elected a young, female president. This is her. You might have met Jan Woudenberg, maybe he has visited your country yet. He represents Hollandia's responsibility of being \m/'s ambassador to Norden Verein. Anyway, I'm sure we will be safe," he said, swiftly showing the revolver on the inside of his jacket. "A little reminder of our revolution over a year ago," he explained.

Nikanor - May 27, 2007 08:40 PM (GMT)
"I see. Very nice to meet you Miss Dobois!", said Nikanor.

A man dressed in a large black trenchcoat and wearing a hit in resemblence to the hats worn by SS officials during WWII ran up to Nikanor and whispered in his ear.

"Dear god. How many did WE lose? 1? That's it? Well, we are trained heavily enough to deal with them. If they attack us back, maybe we'll be lucky enough to have them think the militias in the streets are Dresden soldiers. Then we can kill all of them, 2 birds with one stone. Keep me updated please."

The man walked away.

"I'm sorry, he's been that way. His father fought for the Nazis to ensure the fatherland stayed safe. He is in no means a nazi, do not be alarmed. It has come to my attention that Dresden is at war, and we just launed a major offensive. Much of the enemy was destoyed, and after literally one attack, the enemy nation was put into anarchy. I guess Dresden still has it!"

Matthijs - May 27, 2007 08:51 PM (GMT)
"Likewise," said the president. As the soldier left, she realized that even if the uniform had offended her, he went by so fast that she still would not have noticed. "Good to hear that your war is going well," she said. "Who might the enemy be?"

"Natal. They were at war with another nation of the NoV. They are no longer a threat to any of us.", said Nikanor as he smiled and took a sip from his wine glass.

Matthijs - May 27, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
"I see," said Jan. "Hopefully the war will continue going in your favour. But from what I've heard about the organization of Norden Verein nations, that should be no problem." Marina's eye shifted to the wine that Nikanor was drinking. She asked: "Shall we all all have some wine together? Or perhaps my comrades here want something different?"

"Hello, I am Spartan:V00 the leader of the USRB it is a pleasure to meet you..."

I begin to notice that you have in intrest in our dropships.

"You like the pelican yes?"

Nikanor - May 28, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
"Ha, yes, I like the Pelican. As for the wine, it's imported from Sabatinio. Feel free to have some, it's on the table right over there."

The Arbiter - May 28, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
"Why thank you, I do apologize that I have not brought anything to the party"

Takes off helmet revealing face.

"Opps forgot to take off my helmet I apologize."

Nikanor - May 28, 2007 01:00 AM (GMT)
" It's alright with me. I think I see Strider!"

Reichführer - May 28, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
Von Richt had arrived, he stood firmly looking at the surroundings of the building in which the Convention was being held. He signaled for Reichskaiser Rommel to step out, and he did. They left behind the WW2 Era Kubelwagen in which they had arrived in, and walked up to the door.

Rommel firmly put his grasp on the door, opened it and went inside, Von Richt Following.

Rommel decided to go find any people he knew within the facility, including foreign relations friends. Von Richt walked firmly up to Nikanor, gave a proud smirk, and shook his hand.

"Ah, Nikanor. It is a a pleasure to see you. Last time we met was when we were within our teenage years in the city of Aachen. Shame those days don't last any more."

He awaited to hear Nikanor's response.

Nikanor - May 28, 2007 03:14 PM (GMT)
"Yes, those days were quite fun, when we weren't being shelled the hell out of by those a holes with too many guns. Then again, you can never have too many guns, so it looks like we kinda lucked out there. How have you been? I haven't seen you in quite some time now."

Reichführer - May 28, 2007 10:33 PM (GMT)
Elrich was glad Nikanor remembered the days when they saw one another every day, and had fun at that. He prepared himself to speak again.

"Well your lucky for one thing. Aachschultz, under my Father's Regime was blown to hell by communists, I formed a new nation which immediatley was burnt in turmoil, I have undergone a Civil Within the Nation Already. The good news is, that Kashlinkov has expanded into an empire, even regaining Köln and Aachen. Glad to see your still alive, and in Norden Veiren alongside me once again."

Rommel looked around hoping to find the man he wished to speak with. He finally found him, President Botha of Transvaal. Rommel looked upward and spoke to Botha in a firm, professional voice.

"Ah, Botha, good to see you"

He shook his hand firmly and awaited his response.

As did Von Richt.

Kaiser Martens - May 28, 2007 10:45 PM (GMT)
Martens was seen in the distance drinking some wine and chattering...well, more like flirting with a medium-high rank blondin officer of the Tauberg Loyalist Guard, seeming to have completely disregarded any political or diplomatic duties in favor of some anatomically alluring woman.

"Ja, indeed."

He started to tell her stories about the numerous wars he's been in, quite eloquently.

So much for duty.

... the telephone then started ringing:

- Hello? Rommel, is dat you?

[uneasy silence]

- Oh schapp... you got da der speakerphone on again, no?

Nikanor - May 29, 2007 01:06 AM (GMT)
Nikanor noticed Martens chatting up one of the Elite Officers in the Tauberg Vonzlerchien. He laughed, and proceeded to break it up.

"Martens, I find it funny both you an I are THE people to throw political correctness out the window in no time. Now, the real question. WHO WANTS MOAR BEER?!?!?" yelled Nikanor.

"Before we get swarmed by chicks asking for previous battle stories, let it be known Anubis kicks Odin's ass anyday! haHA!"

Reichführer - May 29, 2007 01:12 AM (GMT)
Von Richt walked over to Martens and Nikanor, figuring he'd throw politics and the past out the window for now, and just get on with it.

He pulled out a bottle of Iuchen Vodka, The best in Kashlinkov, quite possibly the worlds best vodka. He tossed it into Nikanors hand, grabbed another bottle, tossed it into Martens hand, and pulled another out of his cooler which he was carrying, popped the cap, and drank a fourth.

"Now gentlemen, let us enjoy Iuchen, the best damned Vodka in both Kashlinkov and the world."

Nikanor - May 29, 2007 02:16 AM (GMT)
"Dear god, this even stings the throat a little. By golly I think this may be better than any other vodka I've ever tasted. Well, then again there was this one bar over in Cinigrad, but oh who cares. Let's drink! The convention will begin once everyone is here, so we may as well get drunk now considering we might be sober by the time they get here. It could take awhile!"

Baron Zemo - May 29, 2007 06:30 AM (GMT)
"It's way to hot here, what a wreck of a country..."

The large delegation from Nordenstrom, the kinsman from deep in the heart of Antarctica, arrive in the night. Unsure about the surroundings, and not knowing the protocol.

Baron Zemo walks proud and strong though... Seeking beer of course, friends second, and women mostly...

What awaits them is yet to be known.

Transcripts of the Diary of Baron Zemo (King of Nordenstrom, Member of NoV)

Baron Zemo

Matthijs - May 29, 2007 09:12 AM (GMT)
Noticing that some guests, as well as the host, had already started enjoying beer and good company, Marina could not help but laugh at the other two Hollandian officials, who were still empty-handed. "Well, what are you waiting for?" she asked. "You really don't need to ask for my permission just to have fun! I know I won't be leaving here until I can only do so by getting carried into the car by slightly more sober people."

As Nikanor had invited her to, she took a bottle of wine and poured herself a glass. Jan decided to try the local vodka. "Do you want one too, comrade?" he asked Matthijs. "No, I think I'll go see what kind of beer they have on tap, I'll be right back." As he went over to the bar, Marina and Jan decided to join in on the conversation that was going on. Marina said: "Speaking of religion, I don't have any beliefs at all, but at the moment, Odinism is our country's official religion. It seems to be the predominant religion at the moment - there is a lot of religious diversity, and people quickly convert. I thought that might interest you to know."

Botha - May 29, 2007 04:32 PM (GMT)
Hallo! I'm Gerhard Schalkwyk, the Transvaal representive.

Please ignore the ramblings of my leader, as he was drunk after a having a bad day with the tribals.

Botha will be joining us as soon as Pretoria airport is secured and he can get a flight here.

Reichführer - May 29, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
Von Richt walked over to Marina, He pulled out some Vodka, and wished to ask his other foreign friend a question.

"Marina, if you please, try some Iuchen. It's not so bad actually, it's pretty damn good. Best Kashlinkovian Vodka."

He awaited the response but thought to himself for a second, reliving the horrors of the Burning of Aachen by the Communists of the ICP, years ago, which killed his father and other high government officials.

Meanwhile, Rommel looked at Schalkwyk.

"Ah, pleased to meet you. Anyways, i've heard the Zulu wars are supposedly intensifying."
