i second that idea

I throw in a thirding of the idea, if'n it's needed or appreciated. if not, translate that thirding to 'I SUPPORT THIS IDEA!'. :))

It's been suggested numerous times and shot down for numerous reasons. The mod staff is already diverse with just about every alliance represented anyway.

Moderators shouldn't be hired and fired based on their alliances (and when an alliance got unsanctioned, that's exactly what'd happen) but their ability.

That would be bad for two reasons:

1. It would confer modships on people just because of their position in an alliance.

2. It goes against the fundamental rule of "What admin says, goes." I know I wouldn't want to screw around with making sure EVERY alliance gets their guys in. It would be alliance affirmative action gone wrong (note how I used "gone wrong." I have nothing against affirmative action in the general sense).

Well, the current situation proves the system in place does not work Smith

True. This has been suggested several times, and will never be implemented. Thread Locked.
