"Such a nice evening." A young woman told her jogging companions, another woman with a Golden Retriever. They were jogging together through the park at such a late hour to avoid getting targeted by rapists or muggers.

"Yeah, and it's so quiet..." Came a reply as the passed under a lamp and were coming up to a turn. The park smelled of moisture, night air and something that could only be described as 'the Vegas' scent: unique, yet hard to name.

"Hey Mary, could you hold Cookie for a sec, I need some water..." The brunette handed the dog's leash to her black-haired companion and started to fumble with her hip pouch, trying to reach for the bottle. They jogged around the corner and came to a stop at a somewhat graffitied bench and Mary leaned on it, tugging the confused Cookie back when it tried to run ahead. As the brunette took a long swig, Cookie ventured behind the bench and started to whine.

"What'cha got there, Cookie? Huh?" Mary peered after it. At first she saw a fancy silver business case, which she found odd. What was it doing in the park? Then she looked to what Cookie was pawing.

"Harriet?" Her voice shook.
"Hm?"
"Call 911." Harriet looked at her friend, completely frozen in her position and walked around the bench to see what was there.
"Why shoul- Oh my God!!" She dropped her bottle, and the clattering made Cookie look at her owner.

Lying in the darkened grass was a man, dark hair, in a casual-looking business attire (if one could describe it that) staring up at the sky lifelessly, his shirt, jacket and pants covered in blood, his chest riddled with knife marks. Cookie whined again and Mary started tugging it away from the corpse while Harriet searched for her phone, chanting 'oh my God, oh my God' in a panicked, shrill voice. She found it and dialed, moving from side to side, nervously looking around.

They both silently hoped doing the right thing wouldn't get them killed too.

Sara arrived at the crime scene, kit in hand. She stood there for a few moments looking about her before showing her ID, signing the log and ducking under the taped off area. Setting her kit down, she took up her camera and started to take some shots of the area before walking over to the body. Snapping away with her camera, she took several shots, close up too. Setting her camera down she noticed the business case, lying there. Taking a shot of it, she set the camera down, put on some latex free gloves and bent down to retrieve it, noticing there was some sort of greasy mark on it, no initials. Putting into a bag, she sealed it.

Sara stood stood back up and took another look around her, noticing some footprints. The ground was slightly wet, taking a can of hairspray from her kit, she sprayed the print before casting it.

"Crime break is over then?" Catherine queried ducking under the crime scene tape looking stylish as ever with her hair curled up in ringlets her clothes neatly pressed and her chiseled features delicately painted with natural looking make up.
Placing her kit down far enough away from the body as not to contaminate any potential evidence she reached into the pocket of her open kevlar vest for a maglight.
As much as the Graveshift CSI's eyes had ajusted to the city light in the evening she still needed a aid when searching out clues to their latest puzzles.
"Hey Sara. Have you got anything yet?"

Sara didn't have to see who that voice belonged too "Catherine, glad to see you're here too" she greeted, not stopping as she carefully lifted the casted print. Labelling it she put it to one side before standing up again. Walking over to the strawberry blonde, she tucked a stray strand of her hair behind her ear, "a stabbing, male victim. Looks like it was a robbery gone wrong" she said, pointing towards the markers she had placed out "#1, business case, no initials. #2, footprints, I've cast the one, the other is setting as we speak"

"... And, and when we stopped to rest for a little then... Then Cookie found the body, and..." Mary, the black haired woman was wrapped in a blanket like her friend Harriet, the brunette and owner of the dog. Cookie was pacing in her leash a little concerned, her muzzle lightly colored by drying blood. She whined and Harriet leaned down to pet her, telling her to sit down. The women were telling their side of the story to an officer, both more or less crying and scared.

"And then we called 911." Harriet finished for Mary, who was starting the waterworks up once again. The officer taking things down reassured Mary that everything was going to be just fine, and that they did the right thing. He had also recorded their full names on his pad: Mary Gilmore, 31 and Harriet Cole, 33.

"Not, not that we're in a hurry to get away or anything, but... Will this take long? I mean, this place is really creeping me out and I think I need to calm her down, you know?" Harriet smiled nervously at the man, standing up and gently rubbing Mary's back as the said woman tried to stop crying.

Sara lifted the second cast, turning it over and comparing the tread marks with the first one. "Cath, looks like there were two people here" she said, pointing out the difference in the treads.

Standing up, she looked about her, trying to work out how they had been standing before their vic had been killed. Sara took out her camera and took photo's of the flattened grass. She looked over at the two ladies, smiling at their dog.

Sara walked over "may I just photograph the dog please ma'am?" she asked, her camera ready. Sara snapped away, different angles, close ups of the dog's snout, making sure she got the the pattern of blood.

Walking away, she looked at David as he arrived, watching him take samples and recording his findings. "What's the cause of death?" she asked, crouching down and looking back at the body again.
