Temperance half-jogged down the hall and quickly darted into the locker rooms, trying very hard to remember what her locker number was. This was her fourth day at work and she was still jittery; luckily (well, a relative term) the sudden onslaught of malfunctioning computers had given her a slight sense of security and being in her element, but apart from that, she felt a little orphaned. Her father could only accompany her for so long before it came time to head out again.
"Aw crud." The young woman grumbled as she circled around the room. She really had forgotten her locker number. Nuts. With a sigh she sat on a bench between two rows of lockers and started to go through her bag, searching for her oh-so-dear PDA. The model was a little old, but it worked and stored what info she needed just fine.

Sara walked into the locker room, sighing deeply as she walked to her locker. Opening the door, she put her purse in there, taking out her badge and clipping it onto her belt, then reaching it and taking out her weapon, slipping it into the holster on her other hip. Closing the door, she suddenly realised she wasn't alone there.
Frowning, she walked over to the new girl, "hi, I'm Sara, you need some help there?" she asked softly, noticing she hadn't put her things away.

Temperance flinched slightly when she heard a voice, slightly startled. She took a deep breath and turned towards the source, seeing a brunette woman. She identified herself as Sara.
"Oh, hi. I'm Temperance. I just... Forgot my locker number and am trying to fish it out of my extra memory here." She shook her PDA a little. She quickly took in the rest of the woman. Badge, weapon, no uniform... Detective, CSI, a police officer? Wait, wasn't there a 'Sara' in the CSI graveyard shift?
"I started here about four days ago so I'm still a little..." Temperance shook her hands as if shaking off water, a sign of anxiety. "Jumpy. I'm the new in-house computer mechanic." She offered a small smile, a little nervous. This Sara-person was the first to actually initiate a conversation with her, but thank heavens she seemed like a nice woman.

Catherine had heard the trail of rumors spreading around the labs from the Tech' inside that represented Sara's arrival to work. She glanced at her watch and smiled at the revelation that her colleague was as usual an hour or so early for her shift. Walking to the locker room the strawberry blonde stuck her head around the corner and began to speak without identifying herself to the newbie "Sara, your mine, tonight, grave is backlogged so dayshift is on overtime to help out. Let me know when your okay to start and i will let you know the details."

Sara smiled at Temperance, "so you're the new computer technician?" she asked, smiling as she looked at the row of lockers, "would 331 be your's?" she asked, seeing it was the only one without a nameplate over it.
Turning suddenly as she heard Cathering "Hey Cath, sounds good to me. I'll be in your office in 10 minutes" she said, smiling at the other woman. "Oh Cathering, meet Temperance, new comp tech" she introduced.

"Oh hey, yeah!" Temperance's face brightened when she compared it to the number she had in her PDA. She got up, trying her key to the lock and opening the door. "Thanks."
A blonde woman popped her head in and addressed Sara, something about being backlogged? Oh, so she was a CSI! Which made the blonde one too... Um. She wasn't sure who she- Oh, right. Catherine. Sara identified the woman to her. Awesome. Two identified, an odd sum left. Temperance waved her hand at the woman and gave a small smile.
"Hi. Oh, and I also answer to the name Randy, just in case you're too lazy to say my whole name. I know I am most of the time..." She started filling the locker, putting her jacket inside.

Catherine nodded her greeting to the new lab tech until she was addressed by her. "Catherine Willows. Dayshift Supervisor. Its nice to meet you...Randy" She smiled. To her it was an odd thing to want to be called but each to her own. She mentally shook the thoughts away and turned back to Sara. "10 minutes is great. Your a life saver"

Sara smiled, "just don't tell anyone else, they will all be after me" she chuckled softly. Turning her attention back to Temperance, "I normally work the Graveyard shift, but I do cross over to dayshift too at times. We'll see each other at times too" she explained, nodding her head to Catherine again, "I'll just get a coffee and make my way to your office"

Temperance nodded her head. "Okay. Good to know there are at least a few people I know. Nice to meet you too, Catherine." She shut her locker and sat down on the bench again, taking out her PDA once more. She began checking if she had recieved any mail about possible malfunctions and if so, where would she be heading next. Luckily, there was nothing yet.
"Hmm. I should probably start heading for my 'dungeon' soon, I still manage to get lost in this place..." She scratched her head. Then again, she was about half an hour early on account she thought she might've get stuck in traffic. Yay public transports.

Sara nodded her head towards Catherine, watching her as she walked away. Smiling again at Temperance, "where is you are going to be working again?" she asked, wondering if she would be able to help her find her way round the building.

"Well, usually I shuttle between rooms with computers, sorting out messes like viruses, boot up problems and all that fun stuff, but technically I live in the central server room. It gets unbearably hot there at times, though, so I only check up on it every hour." She put her PDA into her bag.
"The server room is the connection between this place and systems like CODIS and the IAFIS, for one, so that's my top priority most of the time. Luckily those connections are isolated from the servers that provide regular internet access so viruses get there like, once in a blue moon." She looked at Sara. "Then there are the other servers that usually provide most of my problems..." She shrugged. They both had an important job, both depending on the other, it seemed.
"I'm not the only one protecting the servers, mind you, I'm just the new geek so the seniors are making me hop through the hoops." She frowned. Her revenge shall be swift and unforeseen. And possibly involving superglue.

Sara laughed softly, "I guess you're down in the bowels of the building then" she said, holding the door open and waiting for Temperance to go through, following her. Walking along the corridor, Sara became aware of the stares of other employee's in the building.
Sara walked along till they came to a door leading to a stairwell "if you follow the stairs down you can't miss the place where you're stationed at" she said, "I have to get to Catherine's office, but I hope we will get the chance to meet up again" she said smiling at her again. "We can't work without you guys doing your job either"

"Yeah, guess so." Temperance agreed and walked out of the locker room with Sara. The stares, she noticed them, were making her a little uncomfortable. Hopefully the novelty of a new computer tech would wear off in a few weeks and she'd be able to walk down the corridor without the stares. How'd that song go again, "high school never ends"?
They came up to a door and the stairs behind it, leading underground, confirming Temperance's nickname for the place as 'the dungeon'. Sara told her she couldn't miss the door she needed, which was a relief. She then said she had to go.
"Yeah, I hope to see you around too. I mean, the other techs are nice and all, but Star Wars VS Star Trek gets really old, really fast." She shrugged and grabbed the handle. She then smiled at her comment.
"We provide the tools, you know how to use 'em to get the baddies. Pretty awesome teamwork, I say."

Sara tilted her head to the side, "you know put lke that makes it sound so good. you're right too, we all work as a team here" she chuckled, "nice meeting you Temperance" she saiod softly, raising her hand in a small wave.
Sara walked along the corridor, stopping in the staff room and getting herself a coffee before making her way down to Catherine's office.
Knocking softly, she walked in "Cath, what's going on then?" she asked, sitting down opposite where the strawberry blonde was.
