Hi there, new to this forum and the team. I am definetly glad to be running folding@home and to be a part of Crunchers Inc. Was recruited here by vaio (if that is still his username)? Any way I am having some technical difficulty with F@H, When I start it up, on the black screen, it says in the bottom left corner "requesting UserID from Server". Also under the heading, Waiting for Core: it appears to be going though steps but nothing ever happens. Is this normal? Any advice? Just built my Core 2 Duo rig and I WANNA FOLD!!!

What are you using?.......the console or the graphical client???
If you are using the graphical client you need to right click the icon in system tray and click on configuration Then type in your username. Team number 47537 I will get back to shortly if you have any other questions ........in the middle of a rig surgery right now  |

well when I hover my pointer over the Folding molecule icon it says loading? My team name and username are in, Im using the graphical interface, new to folding so jus a little confused.

Hmm, I had a few problems getting one of my machines re-started on this project earlier today. I quit the application (right-click the icon) and started it again. Had to do this 3 times before I got it right.
Also, I think that the deadlineless QWU's are now stopped so you will have to make sure you can receive the standard ones: Right-click icon - select 'Configure' On the 'Connection' tab check the box that says "Allow receipt of work > 5MB" (or something like that);and On the 'Advanced' tab set Deadlines to No Preference. That should work  |

Yes, I forgot to mention about the lack of deadlineless units.
That may account for the "waiting for core" message. |

Hello Crunchers. I should have done this a few weeks ago but have been forgetting. Anyway I read a post by vaioman on a board while I was researching building my c2d pc. Due to his post I found out about F@H and when presented with what team I wanted to join while setting up it was easy to say Crunchers Inc. So anyway - now when you see my name in the stats you will know where in the heck I came from.
