Crunchers Inc is a group of like-minded folk from around the world who got to know each other via various distributed computing projects and forums.
We had previously been running projects here and there under various teams etc etc and decided it would be fun to run under one main identity. We are always looking at new distributed computing projects to get involved with but we are a very relaxed and loose group........we all have our favourite projects of choice. The work we do with our computers ranges from seeking cures for disease to mapping the internet, to climate prediction. We like to compete with the big fish out there but we don't run with the hard sell/pressure method of doing things. Folk do their own thing and wander off and stuff but always with the one important goal in mind.......to impact the projects and hopefully lead to long term progress. We have a lot of fun along the way too If anyone is looking to get involved in a DC project and is looking for a progressive group then come join us, even if only for a visit whilst you "test the waters". We have representation in most of the major projects It is a great way of contributing to science and the future with the bonus of making lots of friends and having fun at the same time I guess you could say our team motto is: "Getting it done whilst having fun" |

Even if points are lost will only be a small setback as long as we all keep folding.

Can you change the name or do we need to join the new team.

Are we going with "Crunchers Inc" or "Crunchers Inc."? I used "Inc" on the teams I created but I'll change them if we want to use "Inc."
Any name changes will require an update at DC-Vault as well. [edit] I vote for "Inc" because I won't have to do anything. We use "Inc." at WCG and DIMES but neither of them show on the Boinc Team Stats graphic. This post has been edited by Cousin Caterpillar on Jan 17 2006, 03:30 PM |

I would say "Inc" rather than "Inc." simply because the dot at the end has coused problems with stats.
I think it would be nice to have something in our sigs that shows how much we do. |

Wow, judging by forum activity over the last year or so we must be by far the smallest team in the DC Vault top 50.
Probably only about 10 of us still crunching here But we drive on |
