FEATURED WORK OF THE WEEK-->Isle De Nocturne: By Adivino
The earthly canvas above was painted a deep purple, fading at certain spots, and digging deeper than in others. Rhinestones shone down on me only leading me to stare harder, hoping to break the shine brought forth to me. At a lower level, this little plate covered in all sorts of browns and greens, I stood in a daze, gazing at the tree bark before me, reading the inscriptions left by love-birds, drunks, and other battle scars it gained in war. Listening closely, I heard the crash. Trailing downward, slowly and slowly losing height, the light grew brighter and the sound grew heavier. My feet sunk a bit, in the mush of ground below me, and I bent over and grabbed a handful. It felt what could've been a granulated heart, the pulse driven by the moon-lit sea. The waves; They craved to reach closer, stretching its arms out, trying to grab my feet, and pull me in to become one with it. Sea water touched the tips of my toes, washing over the floral dirt, gathered far back. Salt took my tastes over, and I collapsed downward, shutting my eyes, and letting my body flail into any which posistion, that the Wind took me. A deep breath, and a smile grew on my face. It grew like a flower, slowly, slowly, showing the stages of all my thoughts, in just that simple face twitch. Paradise was among me, but paradise was not within me. -Adivino
