RP Points, hear me out...

I think we need some way to tutor players in roleplaying. Or maybe write up mini tutorials. Ways to help people get better since many seem unable to do so on their own.

Sounds like a School for Role-playing, lol.

How about everyone starts at 50 RP points and if they get booted or banned. They lose RP points.

Booted : -5 RP points

Round Banned : -15 points!

Did ok RP : 0

Did good RP : +5*

Did great RP : +10*

Was involved the SRP : +20

*Will be rated by an administrator.

Being Involved in a SRP isn't exactly mind blowing, alot of people can get involved and i do not think it is worth providing points if that was the case, Maybe if in the SRP they performed admirably at their role, yeah reward them points..

Minimums!

Gatherer, Farmer, Fisher, The Other One : -65,000,000 (negative sixty-five million) points
Why: Everyone should be allowed to be a peasant.

Woodcutter: 0
Why: Woodcutter can make clubs.

King: 10
Why: Start everyone off with 10.

Super-peasants (Chemist, Wolf): 15
Why: Still technically just peasants, but with brains for brains.

Mahjgyyks: 30
Why: They are MMEAAHIDHGHGJJJYYYCKKZS

Servanty people (Cook, Jester): 20
why: derp

militant douches: 500,000 (five hundred thousand) points
why: stop. no. he's not rebelling. he accidentally bumped into you. OMG, you idiot, you can't walk into someone's shop naked and demand food. did you seriously just leave for templar island again?

...How about this:

• King - 20 pts.
• Knight/Noble - 60 pts.
• Archer - 40 pts.
• Guard/Watchman - 30 pts.
• Jester/Entertainer - 10 pts.
• Cook/Chef - 15 pts.
• Necromancer - 35 pts.
• Wolf - 45 pts.
• Mage - 50 pts.
• Woodcrafter - 5 pts.
• Other Peasants - 0 pts.

Everyone would start with 30 points. Every round played through, you would gain one point. Being booted would subtract five points each and round bans would remove fifteen points. Administrators/GMs would have the ability to add/subtract points from someone, make someone incapable of gaining points, or enabeling x2 points. The max would be 65 points unless otherwise changed for individuals by an admin.

RP points could be used to buy two things from an NPC in the spawn room:

• Wood x50 - 3 pts.
• Stone x50 - 5 pts.
• Gold Coin x5 - 1 pts.
• Brown Skin (For one round) - 10 pts.

etc. etc.

I think like this:

Everybody starts with 20 points. You get 5 points every successful round.

Woodcrafter: 5
Other Peasants: 0
Wolf/Chemist/Jester: 10
Necromancer/Mages/Cook: 20
Priest: 25
Guard/Archer: 30
King: 35
Knight: 40

Now the down side.

Boot: -5
Round Ban: -10
Perm Ban: -20

Admins can change your point rates.

What if it was below -0 as in "Negative."

You cant realy subtract points for a boot, Sometimes one is needed. For example, a player is bugged and the only way to fix them is to boot them. And if someone is round banned, there shouldnt be a set amount. The admin should just subract an amount based on the offense.

Also, This topic wasnt orignally about points being auto given. I agree with the idea of admins controlling the RP points then them being given out by joining a round.

And if you are permed ban, Im pretty sure points wont even matter anymore @ Squad

I love the idea about points for a specific class.
Maybe even some kind of leveling system for said class? And no, I dont mean an in-game EXP system, More like, you RP this class well, and an admin adds points into that class, You would be able to see unlocked classes
((Locked ones will be shaded darker, Altough you could still see if they have been picked or not))
and how progressed you are in said class in the job selection screen.

It would look like this:

Some are locked, Some have been picked already, Some both. And it shows how progressed you are in that class. I believe this is what drake is suggesting.

I like Royal's idea. It would be easy to implement and simple... but I also think that the listing in my last post would be more helpful towards the game.

But if you up the points needed for a king too, there is no decent classes left really and to be honest kings aren't considerably rare and often get killed quickly each round, unless someone who can RP to a good degree is king. (such as Chad)

The points system is complicated, needless eye-candy, if we're going to do this, why don't we just have a job ban? Which I believe Smash was already opposed to the last time I asked him.
