The Tishan Citizens Republic, Formerly known as the Tishan Empire

Over five hundred years ago the Tishan Empire was founded by emperor Gacon and at the height of its power it controlled most of the continent. About three hundred years ago the empire was ruled by several weak emperors in succession and several areas of the empire, including Confundia, broke loose and claimed independence.

Under the rule of emperor Achas IV (120-142 AC) the empire went on the offence again and launched a military campaign to reclaim their lost territory. They were somewhat succesful and conquered several independent nations but Confunda and a few others managed to resist.

Thirty years ago the Tishan Empire transformed into the Tishan Citizens Republic and claimed to have democratic elections. However, their former emperor Gaias have won every presidential election since.

Since the TCR think of Confundia territory as rightfully theirs and Confundia think of the TCR as their former opressors, relations between the two have never been good. The only thing that have stopped a war for the last hundred years is that both sides are very aware that such a war would tear both conuntries to pieces, regardless of who becomes the eventual winner.
