Education Policy speech at Kings Auditorium


Greenspan delivered a stirring speech on education and research at the UPF today. He was talking to his base voters and they definitely approved. This reporter has to ask where the substance was though. We got promises to increase education and research funding but all they really amount to is a promise not to cut those two areas since the amount of increase was unspecified. Given the history of right-wing parties this reporter strongly suspects these increases will be insignificant. Nonetheless it is a relief to hear that there won't be education cuts from the party most likely to cut education spending.
