Stupid floods in Brasil! And in Sao Paulo.. the airport was closed.. I just hope it doesn't affect my bf's flight thursday.

Everything I know about Brazilian rain comes from the song Águas de Março (in my mind, no other version exists except for the one Elis Regina and Tom Jobim did together, I love how you can HEAR them smiling as they sing towards the end.)

I hope his flight goes off without a hitch!

Now I feel like listening Elis Regina or Maria Rita (her daughter) songs on youtube but alas, I have to finish my research proposal. DNW

And in other news, I really really wanted to walk down the aisle to "the Engine Driver" by the Decemberists but in order for it to sound good it needs to be played on a 12 string guitar. Erik doesnt have a 12 string. Boo.

Time to find another song. I like Waltz for Zizi too but its kind of sad? IDK I havent been able to find a good cover of it, either everyone who made a youtube video really sucks or the song is too hard.

Oh well I have a headache since yesterday evening.
Damn periods! At least they just come once every 3 months, thank you pill!

There's snow!! Woohoo! I was afraid there wouldn't be for my boyfriend's arrival, which is Friday! There was/still is a little, a snowstorm today. But nothing so huge around here.
I left at 10 from home to go to university, I had a class at noon, paper to hand in and presentation to give. I went earlier because from 11 on there was an event where different schoolboards of canada were having booth and all for hiring. I gathered a lot of infos on places I could work in the anglophone provinces of Canada. So it would be great for me and Rica to move there next year.
Not mentionning I have a stock of pens, lipbaum, notepads of promotional stuff hehe!

So anyways, I "refused" work today because I had this class in the afternoon, so I couldn't work. And when I got at my class we realised there was only like 10 of us (and we are a lot in this class, like 40) so we thought the class must be cancelled, someone checked their mails and it was. Grr! I drove in the snow up to the city and missed work for a cancelled class. At least there was the event and it has been prolific or I would have completly wasted my day!
