Holy cow, guys. I haven't updated for a while, and the site's gone quiet. I am really sorry that the new site is taking so long to be up. For a while there my coder was far too busy to work on it, and I had other things on my mind so progress wasn't done. However, at the moment things are moving quickly, I think, and I'm hoping the site will be up in two weeks! Don't hold me to it though.
Because everyone has been so patient, I've provided a sneak peek for everyone. Click here for it!
Finally, I have something for everyone to do while waiting. I am looking for someone to construct a map of all the regions at the forum. That is, Forest, Mountains, Grasslands, Deserts, Frozen Lands, and Oceans. I need these laid out on a map that is about 500 x 500 pixels. The regions need to be big enough to be linked... but other than that I cannot say more. So, if you're up to the job, make a map any way you'd like! I'll choose the best one to be featured on the site.

you can post a thread here to list all and any relationships your characters might be in at the moment. this could include brother/sister, mother/child, and any other relationship that might pop up. just try to keep one thread for yourself, and that's it. editing posts is your friend.

the forests
the land is riddled with forests, be it thick or thin. some of them more resemble jungles, while others could hardly be called a forest at all. generally, though, the forests are lush and green, with a variation of trees and undergrowth, as well as a wide diversity of animal life.

the mountains
there is a large mountain chain around the territory, flanking the east and northern sides of the area. in some places, they are small and just hilly, but most of the places are rocky, riddled with caves and cliffs. lower down, there is a large amount of trees, but as you climb higher, the trees vanish, and the air gets cooler.

the grasslands
there are many grasslands poking here and there around the terrain. they are generally dry, though they have a small amount of rivers and ponds. trees are scarce, though there are a few, and rocks and grass dominate the area. some resemble savannas, while others might be a bit more green.

the deserts
the deserts are dry and sandy most of the time, with little shade and even less water. some of the deserts, though, have thin, dry trees and brush, with maybe a river or two here and here. most of the deserts, especially the ones farthest south, are mostly sand, with tall dunes and hot days.

the frozen lands
the frozen lands are the coldest and most scarcely populated areas in all of the terrain. they are far to the north, flanking the mountains. luckily, though, they are small in comparison to some of the other kinds of areas. they involve tall glaciers, freezing tundras, and crackling ice flows. some of the frozen lands include a bit of ocean.

the oceans
the oceans and their beaches generally have a mild climate, with some spots being more tropical than others. yet, there are also frozen parts, to the north. for the most part, though, the shores are sandy and pleasant, the waters cool but not freezing, and the waves a gentle lap on the beach. the surrounded area is generally wet, with some cliffs and marshes.

the village
the village, where all the humans live. the village is smack in the middle of the thousands of miles of land, and though it isn't huge, it's a decent size. it is surrounded by forest, with fertile land to grow crops and graze livestock. the outside of the village is mainly the homes and farms, while the interior includes cobbled streets and shops.
