[Rena Salinger]

Rena was in the weight room with her usual black shorts and tank top, clipboard on her desk so that the students could sign in when they got here.

Jay walked into the weight room for weight training, expecting the football coach or one of his assistants to be the professor. He was incredibly pleased when he saw a very attractive female professor right inside the door. "You're Salinger?" he asked her.

[Rena Salinger]

"Yes, I am," Rena replied. "And you are..." Obviously she'd have to learn the students' names so she would know who was having someone else sign in for them, and what grades they deserved.

[Jay Lawson]

"Jay Lawson," he told the professor, not taking his eyes off her to look at the sign in sheet.

[Rena Salinger]

"Well, once you sign in, take a seat in that area over there," Rena said, pointing at three benches around a white board. "When the rest of the class seems to be here, that's where we'll be today."

[Jay Lawson]

"A board?" Jay said as h looked over to where Rena was pointing. "I thought this was weight training."

[Rena Salinger]

"And I thought I was the teacher," Rena told him in a firm voice.

[Jay Lawson]

"Okaaay," Jay said with a bit of a laugh as he signed the sheet. "So you have my autograph. Need anything else?"

[Rena Salinger]

"No," Rena said. "You may go sit down." She spied a few more students heading towards the door from outside.

Jay gave his professor a salute before going and sitting down where she told him to.

[Rena Salinger]

When what seemed like a majority of the class was there, Rena walked over to the group of chatting students around the white board. "I'm am Coach Salinger," Rena instructed them. "A lot of people think that weight training is an easy pass class, and if that's the only reason you're here, feel free to switch classes. I'll be helping each of you find a routine best for your needs, and I'll expect to see improvements over the semester. I also don't want you to think you'll be able to get away with things just because I am a woman. I have a Bachelor's in physical education, and train with all the teams at this school."

Jay really wasn't paying attention to a word she said. He was too busy thinking about how hot she was.

[Rena Salinger]

"We will start suiting up tomorrow," Rena told them all. "Today I will just be showing you how to work the machines. Those of you that already know a bit about them can help spot me. You will all need partners for spotting. Then we'll work until the end of class setting up a schedule for everyone alternating upper body, lower body, and light cardio."

[Jay Lawson]

Jay slowly tuned into what was being said, and the class was starting to sound a lot more tough than he had hoped. "What if we already work out on our own time?" he asked, hoping it would get him out of this drilling his professor seemed to want him to do.
