Zain wandered silently through the park, watching the other people go about their buisness. Playing, talking, laughing. They all seemed so happy.....
Sitting himself down at a bench, he buried his face in his hands. Dhampir. Vampire. That was what he was. Had always been. And now he knew. His senses seemed sharper than ever, he could'ave pointed out every single last person in the area. And the rates of their heartbeats. He couldn't keep his mind away from them for long. He ran his tongue across his teeth, not feeling the fangs, as they were'nt extended right now. But he knew where they were. How could he not have known? Sighing, he leaned back against the bench, looking up into the sky, with the sun burning high. It seemed a bit too bright now. But he just sat there, looking up. Someone like him shouldn't be allowed to see the light. He couldn't tell Raelin. He couldn't tell anyone. That was for sure. Just... what to do now...? He smirked. Well, to keep on living was the first thing. He could figure out the rest from there. -------------------- |

Raelin also had the idea to go walking through the park, listening to happy people as they mingled about. She was lost in her own thoughts, thoughts about what had happened recently. Her own chaotic life and the odd jobs she had been doing, well as Zain. Just the thought of him made her smile. It was among these thoughts that she suddenly picked up a familiar scent, one she could detect anywhere, even if it was faint. The scent seemed to dominate all others and she smiled again, now looking around the park for the cause.
There she spotted him, sitting on a bench amongst the crowds, though something seemed wrong. He had his face buried in his hands like he was worried or upset about something. She didn’t like to see him upset and started to wander over while debating if it would be alright to interrupt him. In a short amount of time she had walked up silently behind the bench and watched Zain a moment, her gaze lingering on him. Well if something was bothering him then she would just have to cheer him up, or get him to talk about it. Smiling she lightly leapt over the bench and sat down on it, casting that brilliant smile to Zain, “Hey…” |

Zain looked down and over (note, he had been looking up, at the sun right then....), slightly startled, by the sudden appearance of someone right next to him. Seeing the familair smile, he automatically returned one of his own. "Raelin! What brings you out here?" He asked cheerfully.
Raelin. What wonderfully horrible timing.... He thought. -------------------- |

((erk, sorry for the late reply on this and its smallness >.<... and yes, Ralein does have the best of timing doesn't she? XD))
Smiling happily Raelin scooted a little closer, “well I was just out for this lovely walk you see?” she began, “ When I spotted someone I recognized looking rather gloomy,” she then gave him a frown, “so I decided he needed cheering up or to talk…” Then with a flicker of genuine concern and interest, “are you alright?” “At least I made him smile, I hope he’s alright. He looked very gloomy…” she thought to herself while getting more comfortable on the bench. |

**(Yeah... my CoV muse died after I went back to Evergen.... so sorry for the short reply.)**
"Oh, come on." Zain said to Raelin. "What would there be to make me gloomy other than not seeing you?" He said, trying to get her away from it. "So, how's the ghost-hunting been for you lately?" He asked, a curious grin on his face. He could'ave been perfectly fine, except for the sad light in his eye, no matter how hard he tried to hide it. -------------------- |

Raelin grinned a little and tilted her head, her face bright, “oh I don’t know…stuff?” she did flush a little at the comment of not seeing her.
Turning away she looked at the park, “alright, I haven’t gotten many jobs lately and one of them turned out to be a fake. But still it hasn’t been bad.. “she turned back to him, looking at him thoughtfully. Leaning close into him, nearly face to face she narrowed her eyes while peering into his, though her expression still remained innocent, “are you sure nothings wrong?” she had caught the sad glint in his eyes and it worried her. |
