Zain meandered through the forest of crumbling stones. Not that the graveyard wasn't well taken care of, and all, but he was walking through the older section. And inevitably, the stones were falling apart, the pathway crumbling, and grass and vines growing over areas. Not to mention the old, dreary-looking trees. It made quite a fearsome sight, even though the sun was high in the sky.
Zain himself nearly blended in with the scene, wearing a black trenchcoat. He himself really didn't know why he came all the way out here. He didn't know anyone who was dead here. So he didn't really have any reason to come. Yet also, for some strange reason, he's always felt slightly... at home, in places like this. Wandering among graves, and feeling at peace. Probably would sound like some sort of creep to anyone else. Coming to a stop in front of a tree, he squatted down next to it, noticing something on the ground. Brushing some of the fallen leaves off, as he shivered in the cold winter breeze, he looked at it. It was a grave. He saw an enscription on it, but age had taken too much away from the stone, and he couldn't read most of it. All he could read, was a single phrase. "I'll make it right again." He wondered if that person ever did. -------------------- |

These places always seemed to be a collection of the past, whispers of what used to be and stuck out of time. The only evidence to time passing was the wear and tear on the gravestones, the changing seasons an cycles of the moon and sun. To most people it would have seemed to be a silent tomb, creepy and finial but most people could not see or hear what she did. So they would have never understood anyways.
She walked over the mossy wet earth, he boots barely making a sound as she glided almost like an apparition herself in the foggy that rose from the earth. Her light colored hair flowing behind her as her head was bowed slightly, arms wrapped around herself as she wandered here and there. Pausing a moment to murmur something soft under her breath. Yes most people would not have understood, for they could not hear the whispers that occasionally popped up like echoes from the past, or really see the ghostly figures that wandered among the crumbling stones. Raelin walked further into the old section of the graveyard, seeming lost in thought as she wandered forth and then silently around an old tree. Missing the appearance of the man in the trench coat, being so lost in thought, until a familiar scent caught her nose and caused her to pause suddenly head still bowed as she blinked cobwebs of thought from her mind. Zain was here?... |

Zain looked up, seeing a movement on the edge of his vision. Was he seeing ghosts like Raelin now too...? He asked himself as he turned to see the silent figure. No. That was Raelin herself. Well, knowing that she could see ghosts, it's not too surprizing that she would be here.....
Not wanting to disturb her, if she was doing anything with the ghosts, or even just frighten her, he stayed where he was, watching her, as silent as a ghost himself. He couldn't even hear his own breathing, it was so faint. He didn't even notice that the cloud of mist that appeared each time Raelin breathed out into the air never appeared for him. Of course, they never do. -------------------- |

As she stopped her wandering, she focused her senses elsewhere, no longer just listening to the faint whispers. Instead she lifted her head and sniffed faintly on the cool air before exhaling. The mist curled and listed into the air with her breath.
“Zain?” she asked out loud, tilting her head slightly before turning around and blinking in surprise at his presence by the tree. Not far off from where she was standing. Her head still tilting slightly from the surprise, cheeks flushed from the cooler air before she suddenly smiled her pleased bubbly smile, “I thought you were nearby…” She then whirling around and walked happily over to him, boots now crunching more loudly in the earth as if she suddenly had grounded herself and became more real than an apparition, “what are you doing here?” she grinned slightly and gestured at the somber graveyard. |

Zain smiled as Raelin came over to him. "Oh, I just like to visit places like these. They always seem to peaceful....." He said, his voice smooth and whispery in a way, nearling sounding like the very ghosts that were whispering to Raelin.
"It's always so quiet, in places like these. I guess that's what kinda draws me to them." He stood up, but remained where he was, by the tree. **(Well, I figured that him being half-vamp, and thus kinda half-dead, he would be drawn to the dead themselves....... whether or not he realised it...... There's also the part about his breath not forming mist, because his body temperature would be more cold-blooded, blending in more with the environment.)** -------------------- |

With a chuckle Raelin approached him, seeming not put off at all by his strange attitude and smooth and whispery voice, but just a but intriqued. She walked up to him, still cheerful and friendly before turning to stand next to him, “I sometimes like to visit these places too.. but I wouldn’t call them quiet… but maybe rather.. dream-like or in a place of their own. Sometimes there a bit sad too..”
She turned to lift her gaze up to Zain, trying to read his expression before she noticed how his breath did not come in puffs like hers and she didn’t feel much warmth coming off him. She tilted her head slightly, thinking quietly, “that’s odd, maybe he’s cold? But he’s not shivering…” “Are you cold?” she asked out loud, seeming genuinely concerned about him, “oh.. and how’s the arm?” |

Zain nodded silently to her return reply comment on the graveyard. It does seem slightly dream-like, but it also seemed, restful. Like he was alive here, in a way that he was not alive elsewhere. But then, if he told her that, he'd probably just seem wierd.
Is he cold? "Na.... not really. The cold doesn't tend to ever bother me much. At least, not unless Beckett dumps me into another snowpile." Zain said, giving a small laugh at the memory of recent winter festival. Looking down at his still-bandaged arm, he replied. "It's been getting better. It's still not all the way healed, and the nurses advised against using it for anything strenuous, so as not to tear it open again. It hasn't been hurting me much though, which is good." -------------------- |

She laughed in her sweet sounding way, like soft bells, at his comment about the snow. The image of him being half buried in the snow only causing her to chuckle more and put a hand over her mouth. Finally she removed the hand, her face lit up by her brilliant smile, “oh yes I remember that quite vividly in fact…”
Then she grinned and sobered as her gaze fell to his hand. She frowned slightly, still watching it. Reaching out she tentatively put her fingers against his bandaged hand so lightly it was like a gentle breeze, “I really am very sorry you got hurt…” she murmured, her voice trailing off for a long moment. “But thank you for catching me..” then she smiled again and lifted her gaze slightly. |

Zain frowned. "It wasn't your fault at all. It couldn't really be helped, so stop apologising. You look better when you're happy, and I don't like to see you sad." He sad faintly, the last part barely even whispered to himself. no human would'ave heard it, but then, Raelin was no human.
Zain turned and smiled at her. "I would catch you a thousand times more if it happened that many times, too. I wouldn't just let you fall." He tightened his hand on hers, asking her to stay. Stay by his side. -------------------- |

Raelin glanced to the side and was about to mumble another apology but then she caught herself and flushed faintly with a soft chuckle. The flush grew more red, complimenting her honey kissed skin, as Zain went on and her heart fluttered faintly when he tightened his grip on her hand, almost silently asking her to stay by his side. He would catch her over and over? In her surprised mind she found the idea rather.. appealing.
Another part of her was a bit confused, she was a werewolf and thus would never be considered normal. Even if seeing and talking to ghosts could ever be considered normal either. What would be think? But the thought trailed off, leaving her rather wistful. Right now it was just the two of them, and she didn’t want to spoil that. With a soft sigh she let go that bad thought for the moment and shyly creapt ever so closely to Zain, her hand still in his, “its nice to know there will be someone there to always catch me…” |

Zain turned to reply, but decided to stop as he saw her moving closer. He smiled, a softer smile, and turned a bit more towards her, moving his hand up to her shoulder. Lightly, experimentally, he kissed her on the cheek, drawing back slightly so that he could see her reaction.

She froze out of surprise, her face still flushed as she turned to glance up at Zain. Had he just kissed her on the cheek? It wasn’t unwelcome though, and she hadn’t moved away. Turning she faced him and tilted her head slightly, looking up at him curiously. She wanted to ask what that was for and also give him a hug though she was having trouble deciding on the words, so she smiled again. One of her brilliant smiles.

Smiling back, he sat there for a moment, simply enjoying her presence, and the smile spread across her features. Drawing her closer, he kissed her again. This time, though, was not on the cheeks.
**(I'm wondering, at this rate, how much further shall we go before we simply fade to black...? <<...>>....??.....O.O *skitter-should-not-be-spying-now-skitter*)** -------------------- |

((fading to black anytime now would be fine with me, I'm running out of ideas anyways as my brain is dying for the night
She returned the kiss, still surprised but rather… delighted? She had lost all track of where they were, it was just her and Zain now, nothing else matter in those moments. And only the silent ghosts of old and the tired trees were present in the misty scene. |

**(Kk. then. Stop our spying, and let the charas take care of themselves on this foggy... day..... XD. It'd be bad if there happened to be somebody's funeral today...... potentially REALLY bad..... *blushes*)**
