Welcome.
It's been seven years.
Seven years since Dagon was woken from his slumber and faced off against Blade and what had remained of the Nightstalkers. A lot has happened since then. People have died, some have moved on, while vampires are still an ever growing populace. The anti-vampire viral: Daystar worked for what it was, but didn't even make a dent in the vampire population, only reaching out so far before dissipating. Now there's the aftermath to be dealt with.
Welcome to New Orleans, a leading center of vampire activity, as well as home to it's own sleeper cell. A storm is coming, of epic proportions. It's only a matter of time before things come out of the shadows that have been waiting to strike.
The question is, who's side are you on?
Cicatrix Manet is a Blade series roleplay, taking place seven years after Blade: Trinity. Please register with your character's first and last name. Feel free to use common nicknames (i.e. Sam, Ben, etc.) if you prefer it.

Old Absinthe House For almost 200 years the Old Absinthe House bar has been a staple of life in the Vieux Carré. Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Built sometime before 1772, and is one of the few remaining original "French architecture" structures in the French Quarter. Tradition has it that the Lafitte brothers operated this blacksmith shop as a legitimate appearing business, serving as a front for their privateer enterprises. One of the brothers was the infamous Jean Lafitte, Privateer, and co-hero of the Battle of New Orleans. Rumor has it that his treasure is buried in everyone's backyard.

Blue Nile Music Club Housed in the first building that was constructed on Frenchmen St in 1832, it became the first music venue on the street in the early seventies, as the legendary Dream Palace. In 2000 it became The Blue Nile and has carved out a unique niche in the vibrant Frenchmen Street scene. A jazzy blue and gold decor in the main room gives the live music venue a rich warm vibe. The upstairs music space, the Balcony Room, with the only public balcony on Frenchmen St, is also available for private parties and events.

Rue Bourbon When founded in 1718, the city was originally centered around the French Quarter. New Orleans has since expanded, but "The Quarter" remains the cultural hub, and Bourbon Street is the street best known by visitors.
The most popular section of Bourbon Street is "Upper Bourbon Street", an eight-block section of popular tourist attractions. Bourbon Street begins at Canal Street.

St. Louis Cathedral Few cities in the world are so identified by a building as is New Orleans. The city is instantly recognized by our cathedral and its position overlooking Jackson Square. The Cathedral-Basilica of St. Louis King of France is the oldest Catholic cathedral in continual use in the United States.

Jackson Square The square originally overlooked the Mississippi River across Decatur Street, but the view was blocked in the 19th century by the building of larger levees. The riverfront was long given to shipping, but the administration of Mayor Moon Landrieu put in a scenic boardwalk along the river across from the Square; it is known as the "Moon Walk" in his honor. On the opposite side of the square are three 18th‑century historic buildings which were the city's heart in the colonial era. The center of the three is St. Louis Cathedral.

Warehouse District This is area is located along the edges of the Mississippi River. A lot of strange going on happen here, especially at night. Generally an area most normal people avoid after dark, since things and people tend to go 'missing'.

East Street Blood Bank It's a blood bank right? Look completely normal from the outside. Inside however is a completely different story. This is one of many run by the vampires in order to keep a steady supply of blood. Often a prime location to track vampire comings and goings for the hunters.

Residencies If it's one thing that New Orleans is known before besides all food and booze, it is architecture of the homes in the city. With styles ranging from Creole to Victorian, they are just not just pretty to look at, they are historic as well.

Hotel and Motels Not everyone here has the luxury of owning or renting a place to stay. Or even in the area for the long haul If that's the case you might want to check into one of these. Some of them aren't exactly the swankiest places on the map, but they've got to be better than sleeping in the car.

The Countryside Despite what many believe, there is more to Louisiana than bayous and New Orleans. There are many beautiful areas of empty countryside with small farms or simple little cottages residing out among the lovely scenery. It is out here somewhere that the Hunters hideout is located though no one knows its location for certain.

The Bayou's Ahh the infamous swamps of Louisiana. People disappear here all to easily whether from the alligators or whatever else might dwell among the fallen cyprus groves and weeping willows which surround these areas. Numerous poisons spiders, snakes and other such critters make tromping through this area without an experienced guide very dangerous.

Oak Alley Plantation Over the years, many wonderful and fascinating individuals have had a hand in shaping a dream for Oak Alley ... some tried and won , some tried and lost, others just tried and gave up. Still, they all had one thing in common ... they CARED enough to try. Most of them are gone now, leaving only bits and pieces of the whole story ... yellowed documents in parish archives, remembrances shared from generation to generation, a letter or two, a faded photograph yet, most important of all, Oak Alley herself.

Kisatchie National Forest Kisatchie National Forest has more than 604,000 acres, is spread across seven parishes in Louisiana, and is divided into five managed units called Ranger Districts. Hidden in the bayous beneath the bald cypress groves and old growth pine lies a world of natural beauty, excitement, learning, recreation, resources and wildlife in their purest form. This is also where many of the local werewolves tend to enjoy running about during a full moon.
