Lacii was only going to be gone for the day, even if it was a bad idea to be out of camp right now. But she needed air. Since she had come in contact with both Matt and Justin, she felt like she was suffocating. Like everyone was crowding around her, making it difficult to breath and think straight. So, she wouldn't admit it to anyone, but it had been a bad idea to physically attack the two of them.

She had found it hard to see their faces after so many months of just Levi and herself in the giant house that lay in it's own little nook in London. Her mother was never there, and sure Armand stopped by every once in a while. But it was just.....hard.

She was having trouble adjusting back to being around people. Being social and being the same warm person she had been. When all that was on her mind was a war between Levi, Justin and what she wanted.....things were bound to get sticky. Lacii had developed a very short temper over the past few months. A lite fuse that kept exploding at the most random of times.

This was why she had come into the city for the day. Not leaving a note or telling anyone where she would be. Just going, in attempt to heal herself. The point was mute. As she walked the streets of central New York, Lacii found herself grumbling. Clutching her coffee in numb hands and shooting glares at every single person she could. Not paying attention to where she was really going, just walking. Skirting mounds of dirty and half melted snow, and failing to remove herself from the line of travel of a random passerby. Crashing right into him.

Her coffee went flying, adding more stain to the ground. Her jaw set, teeth grinding methodically. Lacii looked down at the perfect stranger, who was trying in vain to wipe the hot liquid off of their jacket. That's when she exploded, when her fuse went off. Lacii started spewing obscenities at the small woman, inching closer to her face. her hands were stuffed into the pockets of her leather jacket. But that didn't stop Lacii from becoming very rude and venomously mean to the stranger, ignoring the fact that many people were watching at that point.

The fact that outside it was freezing and snowing didn't stop London from only wearing a sweater over her clothes. She hadn't been planning on going outside at all. Just hanging in the hallways of her flat. But then thing was, London couldn't just hang and while she knew it was probably a bad idea to go outside underdressed, she simply didn't feel like going back upstairs to get her jacket. Her scarf was good enough and she wasn't even cold anyway.

Her blonde hair -- now completely blonde and completely her own -- was blown around her face and stuck to her lipbalm. Her heels were getting absolutely soaked and her feet ice cold, but she didn't care. She just felt like walking. And walking she did, until she suddenly heard a very familiar voice, except she had never heard it so angry.

The blonde turned to see if it could possibly be who she thought it was. She assumed not. What had once been her best friend at camp -- the camp she had to admit she sometimes missed -- couldn't possibly be in New York right now. Especially not on the day London decided to go out. The now seventeen year old often wondered what it had been like if she had stayed at camp, but living alone in the big bad world just had more of a charm to it. There hadn't really been any monster attacks since she left so she assumed she'd be safe anyway. For just another year, when she would be eighteen and mostly completely safe. Or at least she hoped.

A quick glance told her that it was indeed Lacii that was yelling at a seemingly innocent woman. What the Hades was her problem? London bumped her way through the people that were slowly stopping to watch the scene and stepped in front of the woman, holding out her hands to stop Lacii from coming any closer and if she had to, push her away. "What the hell happened to you? What'd she do you to?" London asked her in a stern voice. "I didn't know my leaving camp was going to drive you insane." London said with the sound of a half joke in her voice. She wasn't entirely serious but Lacii hadn't been like that when she left. Not in the slightest.

Lacii stopped mid insult and just blinked. She took on a curious look of slight confusion before it fell into it's most recent death glare. "Yeah, it's cute that you care, love. But it's honestly none of your business what's going on with me. You lost that privilege when you up and left for the second time." Lacii looked London over before craning around the equally tall girl and peering down at the woman once more.

"You know, I should make you pay for that, and the possible scald burns I could have down my front you worthless piece of skin. As it is, you're lucky this thing stepped in front of me, or I would have shown you just how insulted I am right now. Get on then, run away before I change my mind." She waved a dismissive hand at the now skittish woman and turned back to London. Stuffing her hands into her pockets again.

And just stared at her for a moment.

Letting the cold air puff out in small evaporating clouds before setting her jaw again. "And who do you think you are, London? Some kind of superwoman? We're hardly even close to that, and until you can move things with your mind and fly. Keep your nose out of people's business, yeah?" Lacii shifted her weight, clicking her tongue on the roof of her mouth before continuing.

"I don't know where you get off butting into my life all of again all of a sudden. I could have done well without seeing your stupid blond head. On that note, it looked just as stupid when it was brown." With that, Lacii narrowed her eyes and turned to leave. She was more concerned about getting the coffee off of her jacket than hurt feelings and tempers she might flare. When really, what she needed was to just shut her mouth and listen to someone for a change. Having free range of freedom and words over the past few months had done something to her. Throw in a rather odd heartbreak that was mostly of her own making, and Lacii was in desperate need of not only London. But anyone else who had it in them to challenge her back, throw her words in her face.

Yeah, right, as if not leaving camp would have all prevented this from happening. London wasn't even sure why Lacii was behaving like this. They used to be best friends and all of a sudden she was pretending to be so tough. "You know for someone who used to be so nice you have an awfully big mouth." London snapped at her and waved for the woman behind her to leave. Even if it had been between Lacii and the woman before, now it was between them.

Especially when she commented on her hair. Now London couldn't care less about what anyone thought about her and much less did she care if Lacii thought her hair was stupid. She knew she wasn't even speaking the truth. She wasn't sure what had happened to make her once friend change so much but it couldn't have been anything good.

But when Lacii started to leave, London got properly angry. "You know you can't just walk away from me." she said and jumped in front of her again. "You really think you're the only one whose life is tough? Think again." London said and stepped closer to the older girl. "You think life is soooo hard at stupid camp with stupid children and stupid demigod powers. But you know, that's not the real world. In the real world, when life screws you over, you get up and keep going. But obviously you've become too self centered to even consider the fact that maybe keeping up this act isn't going to make it better."

"You know I don't even recognise the person you used to be anymore. Grow up, Lacii. Not everything revolves around you."

"I've always had a big mouth in case you haven't noticed, dearie. Now get out of my way. Watch me not walk away London, I don't rightly care." Lacii pushed her way around London and kept moving. For all of a few steps at least, before stopping dead and slowly turning around.

"Oh. Ok. Let's just suppose I've been at camp this entire time, love. Like I could ever stand those ignorant faces for longer than a few weeks. Staying the few weeks that made up summer was no problem, but I ducked out of there a week later. I know the real world, it slaps me in the face every day. So don't preach to me like you're all high and mighty and all knowing, love. You're treading on foreign ground with me. I advise you back off." Lacii spat, not moving from where she stood.

"You lost the privilege of caring about my well being a long time ago. Just. Drop it, yeah? This is me getting up and moving forward. So people don't like it, that's not my problem. You want to know what happened? Do you want to be intrusive and dull? Fine." Lacii pushed her hands into her pockets, her hands curled into fists. Though she was acting as if London didn't matter to her, Lacii still felt like she was the only person that would even begin to understand what was going on. Why Lacii was so bothered. Haunted to the point that it had twisted her personality into something far worse than had probably been expected.

Lacii took a few long steps to come close enough to London as she would allow herself to. even though she cared for London, Lacii wasn't sure she could control the urge to hit her and leave her behind. Much like she had done with Matt and Justin. But she stopped just out of reach and took a deep breath, before telling London everything. Her attitude just as poisonous as it had been before. But there was a hint of softness that hadn't been there before.

"Really, Lacii. I didn't think one ever lost the right to care about the people they love." London spat back and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "But if you for a second think you're too good to tell me what the hell is going on in your life, then I don't even feel like caring about you anymore." London said. And apparently it worked, for the next words that came out of her mouth were worse than London had even expected.

It was far worse. Sure, life with Seth hadn't been easy since they left camp. Monsters were lurking around corners all the time and they weren't nice. But this.. "Lacii.." London started and looked at her feet for a bit before sighing and looking back up at her. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that happened to you and I'm sorry I weren't there for you.. Okay?" London said and stepped closer to her. She wasn't afraid of Lacii. She had never been afraid of her.

She reached out to take her hand. "Look, I know Seth can be kind of.. yeah.." London started and made a face. "Come live with us. You'll be safe there.. Safer than out here by yourself.. And you can move on with help, yeah? You shouldn't have to do it all by yourself." London said softly and smiled up at her friend. Of course she hadn't exactly asked Seth if he was alright with Lacii moving in, but London figured he didn't exactly hate her so it would be fine. It would all be totally fine. "Please, Lacii? I want to be there for you.."

Lacii didn't have it in her to break down and cry it out anymore. She was so tired of being tired, that it wasn't even worth the thought and time it took. It wasn't worth the energy that it sapped out of her. It ended up in her just kind of staring at London like she was some kind of stranger.

Lacii jerked away from London's hand. Maybe London had never been afraid of her, but Lacii didn't trust herself enough right now. And she didn't expect anyone else to for that matter. "That's a bad idea London. The only thing keeping me from knocking your pretty blond head to the ground is the sheer will to walk away from this conversation personally unscathed." Lacii drawled and settled back into a somewhat relaxed position.

While it felt good to get it all off of her chest, and to have someone not patronize her for it. The problem was, Lacii didn't see it as a problem. Lacii held Levi up on a pedestal, she really thought that he was the best thing to ever walk her way. Deep down, of course she knew that being anywhere around him was a bad idea. But as soon as she was around him. That's when everything went wrong. Lacii kicked a foot across the ground and looked everywhere but at London's familiar face.

"I can't London. Even though I hate camp, something is still keeping me there. And I intend to find out. exactly what it is before I leave for good. I only came out for the day, I had to train the tiny creators for a day and I needed out." Lacii was saying a whole lot more than what was coming out of her mouth. She needed to get out, not just camp. Camp was where she needed to be. She needed a way out the life she had been living for the past few months and into a new one. A better one.

Where she wouldn't hurt anyone like she already had to Matthew and Justin.

"I need out London. I don't know how to get away from him." The words came out before she really even thought about it.
