Jonas was glad that he was finally away from the drama. Sure he was only going to be gone from camp for a while, but he was going to enjoy it while he was at it. There would be no thinking of Justin or Monny or any of that nonsense drama he had created. As he hurriedly ran across the airport, searching for his dad, he wondered what the high school was like here. Couldn't he do it? Couldn't Jonas be a normal kid and go to a normal high school instead of a camp filled with children of gods?

He adjusted his top hat as he saw his dad. He ran toward him, his luggage dragging behind. "Dad!" he exclaimed as he wrapped his arms around him. "Gods I missed you so much!" He smiled as he stayed there, hugging his father in the middle of the airport.

When that was over with, Jonas felt his stomach grumble. They walked together to grab a taxi. It had been decided before that they were going to go to a fast food restaurant near their apartment. Once Jonas had settled in the taxi, he smiled at his father. He really needed to tell him some things that were going on, but for now he stayed silent. And like always, he couldn't feel the awkward silence. With everyone else, it was like he could hear the silence. But with her dad, things were perfect.

They were dropped off at the restaurant and oddly Jonas had dragged his luggage in. He looked around curiously, wondering if there was anyone who could still recognize him after he had been gone for a while. His heart began thumping at the thought of being laughed at because of his outfit. Slowly, he took his hat off.

The two sat in a stall together in a booth, quickly ordering their food. As always, Jonas had picked a salad and his favorite milkshake in the world. But there were other things on his mind. His dad had asked how camp was, and Jonas wasn't sure how to respond. For a second he hesitated, then shrugged. "It's alright," he said truthfully. "Lots of drama. But that happens everywhere."

He looked around once again, wondering if he should've taken his bowtie off. There were actually people Jonas knew in here. People who had bullied him. He pressed his lips together and looked out of the window, hoping nothing was going to happen. It had been months, right? They had someone else to pick on... Hopefully.

Words couldn't describe how excited and joyed Daniel was to see his son. He had been growing mentally and physically. Daniel had missed Jonas so much. It was comforting to see him. No matter what happened, he knew that he would always be there for Jonas, and Jonas would be there for him. So when they sat down together, he hoped that Jonas would be honest with him about everything that was going on in camp. Daniel missed him all the time. He remembered how he used to wish about being a half blood so he could go to camp with Jonas.

He had to notice how odd Jonas was acting though. Around him, his son was never shy or awkward. He was his normal silly self. Had things changed while Jonas was at camp? Surely camp wasn't that different. Maybe it would take a little while for him to get used to talking to him again, even though they had emailed each other quite a lot. At least Jonas was dressing like his usual self. He seemed to be a little hesitant with that too, though. Something was strange.

"Oh?" he asked in reply, leaning in closer. Drama? Did Jonas need to talk to someone? He knew how emotional he seemed to get sometimes, and without talking about it, he would eventually explode with emotions. "Talk to me, son," he smiled, "You know I would never judge you. Tell me, is it girl drama?" He grinned. Jonas seemed to be quite the man. He dressed well and had many friends that were girls. By now, he just had to have a girlfriend! But maybe that wasn't working out well for him?

From afar, Nico and his gang had seen girly Joany enter the restaurant. Nico hadn't seen Jonas in so long. It was actually pretty exciting to see that he was still alive, that he still had people to bully. See, ever since Jonas had run away from high school, Nico just didn't seem as cool and mean as he used to. He knew that if he could get Jonas today, he'd be back to scary. He had to do this. "Hey," he said, nudging his friends. "Look what the cat dragged in." From a distance they all stared at him, pondering what the greatest way to ruin his life was. Hm... It would start out simple, since they hadn't seen each other for a while.

Nico was so excited. Was Jonas coming back to high school? Where had he gone anyway? A stupid mental health hospital? Because he really needed to go to one of those with his stupid outfits too. God, that kid was so weird. He rubbed his hands together as he shot a smirk to girly Joany. He gave a small wave and then turned around to talk to his friends. Time to plan.

Finally their food arrived. Jonas smiled as he adjusted his napkin onto his lap, even though they were in a fast food restaurant. He did this all the time, as he saw it impolite not to. Taking one last look at the group of people he seemed to remember, he turned back to his father and grabbed a fork to start eating. He got a piece of salad and began munching on it as his father began eating. For a while it had been quiet.

But then his dad asked if it was girl drama. Jonas's eyes widened as he started choking on his salad. He began coughing loudly, grabbing attention from everyone who was in the building. Turning red, he finally was able to get the piece of food out of his throat. "What?" he asked, even thought he already knew what was coming. Oh gods, this wasn't happening to him. It couldn't!

After being in so much drama, he didn't want to be in even more. His dad was the one that Jonas always turned to when things were wrong, but there was a fault in this. His dad didn't know that he was gay... And now he had to tell him. "N-no dad... it's not.. It's boy drama," he replied as he put his fork down and wiped his hands on his napkin. He closed his eyes as he tried to keep calm.

That's it Jonas. Keep calm and carry on. His dad would be fine with it. But when he opened his eyes, he realized that his dad had a confused look on his face. "Dad..." he whispered as he leaned closer to him. By now his eyes were watering. What if he didn't approve? What if... No... He couldn't think about it now. He had to be strong. He shook his head as he blinked, grabbing his father's hands.

It took all of his strength to get the words out, but he finally said it. "Dad, I'm gay," he said. His hands were shaking and he was afraid he was going to burst out in tears. Oh dear gods. He couldn't face it. He wanted out! What if the kids over in the corner of the restaurant had heard him? Oh no no no no. He stared at his dad with pleading eyes. "Dad?" he asked, trying to look at his father's face. He was avoiding eye contact. This wasn't happening... Jonas bit his lip as he turned away, putting his hands back on his lap and looking down.

Dan couldn't tell why Jonas was getting so worked up about a small drama thing going on at camp. He never judged, so why was Jonas having trouble telling him? One minute he had seemed slightly different, but now he seemed way different. Daniel was pretty sure he had never seen this side to Jonas before. In fact, Daniel himself was starting to get nervous. What was going on at camp? Was there something terrible?

Then Jonas said it was boy drama. Daniel tilted his head, not understanding. He had never thought his son was gay, and the thought still didn't cross his mind. He figured that Jonas was getting beat up. He was an easy target sometimes. Well if that was the case, Jonas would just need to learn to fight back. It wasn't too hard, was it?

But then... Different news reached his ears. At the moment, Daniel had been eating his burger. His eyes widened and he too started chocking on the burger. He couldn't say anything... He was speechless. He stared at his son with tears in his eyes, though he couldn't tell if they were tears of happiness or sadness. He covered his mouth, unsure what to do. "Jonas," he said, shaking his head. Daniel looked away, not being able to keep eye contact. "I love you, but..." he paused, unsure what to say. He was just so shocked.

Suddenly the man stood up and ran toward the bathroom. "I'll be right back," he added right before closing the door. He looked into the mirror, into his blue/green eyes that looked just like Jonas's. How could he have never known?

Nico snorted as he grabbed a french fry and stuffed it into his mouth. He chewed quickly, keeping an eye on Jonas. Oooh, was he crying now? God, he was so sensitive and stupid. Nico had to admit that he did feel a little bad for the kid, but... Which was more important, Jonas or acceptance? Acceptance, duh. He wanted people to like him, to be slightly afraid of him. He wanted to show who was in charge. "Freya," he muttered as he leaned over toward his girlfriend. "Gimmie that ice cream cone," he said, holding his hand out.

He had the best idea ever and it would totally work. "I'll buy you another one, thanks," he added as the ice cream was handed to him. He jumped out of his seat, making a loud clangy noise. He wanted everyone to look at him. Luckily, Jonas's dad had just left for the bathroom, so this would all work out.

"Hey Girly Joany!" he exclaimed as he smirked with a smug nod. He squished himself into the same seat at Jonas was in. "Eyy buddy!" He put his arm around the boy as if he had always been his friend. "How are you? Ohhh are you crying? I always knew you were a baby," he sighed as he shook his head. "Here, I'll make it up to you. Have some ice cream." Nico nodded as he offered the ice cream to the boy. Right before he reached for it, Nico spat onto it.

"Too slow," he said. Jonas moved further into the booth, which made Nico feel even stronger. With a smirk on his face, he threw the cone over to the boy, hitting him right on the head. He snickered as he ran away, waving toward his friends.
