It took a while to breath normally after he burst out in laughter. "Sadly" He said with a sad tone in his voice and then winked at the girl. "Sorry, can't help you there not such a funny person" He shrugged. "My friends at home say I don't have a sense of humour. but I do really thought what you did just now was really funny cause you nailed it"

Adam was slightly flabbergasted, he mister no humour had made a girl laugh, for real.
He couldn't get it. It was amazing, and Grace had a pretty smile and her laugh was cute. He wouldn't be able to make Carter laugh like that now wouldn't he? "Which girl would like to smell like man's deodorant? That would be rather awkward if you'd ask me" Really people at this camp made him happy and stuff like that. Something he hadn't really felt in ages. Really happy.

"Yeah your hobbies" Adam repeated. "That's interesting. Some people just are happy with small thing" He nodded softly. His step-father had been a big fan of the outdoors. He always took him and his mother when he was younger to Channel Islands National Park. He had been a pain in the ass when he was younger since he never really wanted to go but lately he felt like he wanted to go there to get some memories back.

He turned his and looked at Grace while he started talking. "Well, like people expect from a son of Apollo my hobbies are, drumming, writing lyrics and the music that goes with them, play the guitar but playing the drums is my favorite thing to kill time with and of course I like training with my bow and arrow, since I'm good at it" He smiled back at Grace. Yeah, he definitely was a stereo type son of Apollo and he didn't even care. His father was amazing even though he had never seen him. He was grateful for the talents his father had given him.

"You say that," Grace said "but when I lived in Yorkshire I knew loads of girls who would wear Lynx, which is a man's deodrant - even though they have a women's version now. Though, as I say that, just because they liked wearing men's deodrant does NOT mean that I do." That was one thing about Grace, she generally didn't do as other girls did.

"Yeah," Grace said "I am generally very happy with adventuring - if I wasn't I would have aquired another hobby of sorts. It would probably be... photography, yeah, photography." Grace did like the idea of doing photography and such, it was a shame she was well skint and couldn't buy a camera.

Grace chuckled slightly at Adam's hobby "Why am not surprised..." she asked rhetorically "I swear all you Apollo kids are the same, maybe not ALL the same, but you're all into music and art and you're all creative - it's actually funny" she then chuckled.

"I'm sorry" Grace said "just you REALLY fit the stereotype of Apollo kids, though most do. Like I fit the stereotype of Hephaestus kids when I built that trap in catch the flag... AND GOT YOU IN IT! What?" Grace then laughed at her mocking of those who attempted to be cool, those people made her laugh, if Grace could accept that she was not cool, then they could too.

"A good thing every one in this world is different, right?" He already could tell it was something he liked about Grace, she wasn't one of those grey mousses. Those girls that did everything to get a boys attention. Some of the groupies the singer of their band had. He thought they didn't have an inside, they had no, how do you say that, not soul they had no own personality. He would like to have a girlfriend one day with personality, a girl that was special.

"Cool, if you want to try it one day you can use me as your model" He chuckled to the girl and gave her a small nudge. Of course he didn't know she had no money to buy a camera. If he had known he wouldn't have said something like that. He never had been some one who couldn't buy what he wanted, so he couldn't say any thing about that.

"Like I can help it." Adam shrugged. "It is something we get from our father, so yeah of course we are all alike" It didn't matter to him. He was proud of his talent and so he was happy with his father. "It's okay" He chuckled with her. "You did, and you literary caught me. Maybe it means something" Gak. Sorry he wasn't really such a person but it was some kind of joke, or wasn't it? He still liked Carter now did he?

"Yeah," Grace said "If everyone was the same things would be BOR-RING and boring is... boring." She then chuckled slighly at her lack of words to use as she had used a word to describe itself, which was poor when it came to describing and defining words.

Grace liked how much Adam seemed to get her, he laughed at her jokes that normally only she found funny and he really got her sense of not being normal but in the normal sense that she wasn't wacky or nerdy or geeky (which were all alright things, just they weren't the normal side of the weird spectrum).

"Yeah!" Grace said "Then I can capture some of your brilliant eyebrow action so the rest of the world can enjoy them." she then chuckled "But I doubt I'll ever get a camera, I wouldn't want a rubbish one but I can't afford a good one and I doubt my mum would get me one for my birthday, I think she'll get me some jeans in vain hope I will wear them." she then chuckled at her mum's attempts to make Grace more normal 'but your knees are all scarred!' she said every birthday 'no boy will like you with knees like that!' Grace then chucked at her mum, she knew that she was only trying to help her.

"Who knew that gods had such dominant personality trait... genes? That's not really the right word, I think Dawkins suggested meme, so yeah, meme." Grace did love her moments of smart that were randomly mixed into her daze of just below average intelligence (which wasn't her being a whiny, emotional, self-consious teenager girl, it was just a fact).

"Nah," Grace said "It was just purely luck on my part. It would be funny to go against eachother again now that we properly know eachother, I can then properly reap the benefits of WINNING! Because before it was like 'oh, I tripped some random guy up - wicked' and next time it would be like 'OMG! I WIN AT LIFE!' or something along those lines." She then grinned at Adam.

"I totally agree with you about that" He said while nodding, he made a serious face. "Boring isn't fun and no fun is boring" He said it like it was the cleverest thing to say. Like he discovered a way to world peace. Then he chuckled, really it wasn't the clever but still it was true.

"You think their brilliant , huh?" Of course he was wiggling his eyebrows when he said that. "You should stick around then to see what more I can do with them" He gave the girl an over dramatic flirty wink. "But who knows, Santa might give you one." He chuckled, of course the girl knew he didn't exist but until February he hadn't believed in the Greek gods either and well they also did exist. Some times after that it was just hard to know if thing where real or not like they lived in some kind of strange myth or in a history book.

"I did not" He shrugged. "I only knew they actually don't have DNA so even though every one in here is actually related they can date. Only dating among the same cabin isn't really appropriate." He chuckled again. "Yeah, you are right Meme."

Who knew that the girl that caught him in her net trap would be such a funny person. He didn't, and he was glad that he didn't go all mad and crazy on her something he would have done if it happened at home. Totally inappropriate cause it was a game and these things happened in a game like capture the flag.

He burst out in laughter when she said I win at live. Not because it wouldn't be true but just because he totally could see her say that. He up in the tree she down on the ground screaming something like that. Funny. "You are really funny, I'm glad I’m not a random guy then. It's a shame if I missed out on such amazing use of words"

"Nope." Grace said in agreement, what they were saying was definitely true, no matter how much it showed off their poo vocabulary, boring was never good because who would want to live on the planet for eighty years if it was boring? Not Grace, that was for sure.

"Of course!" Grace said, "they are eyebrows of the legen- wait for it... -dary! degree." They definitely did make her laugh, probably more laughing at Adam than with, but it was all in good humour and a bit tongue-in-cheek so it didn't especially matter.

"I see," Grace said, "that's good, because I wouldn't want to go out with someone and then find out we're like uberly closely related - that would be WELL manky to find out."

"I'm right? get in!" Woot! Grace loved her smart moments, they actually made up for the fact that she was officially intellectually stupid (common sense wise she was smart, she wasn't daft - just she wasn't actually very smart).

"Why thank you," Grace said, "and you should take pride in the fact that I assure you will never again be just a random guy." That was definitely true, as she liked Adam far too much for him ever to return to the prior state.

Yes, and again a burst laugh. Legen- wait for it- Dary Really that cracked the son of Apollo up. The words Grace chose to use where really something. They where legen- wait for it -dary. "Thank you, I will remember that one" He was definitely going to use that sentence, it was just amazing.

"Yeah I really, really, really understand that. It would be like incest or something. Really gross. No one could date a Zeus kid since we are all related to him, since he is like the grandfather of everybody" Adam chuckled hoping he wouldn't really offended the God. It wouldn't be pleasant if he did.

"Yeah, I think so" He nodded to the Blonde daughter of Hephaestus. He didn't know Grace well enough, but he really liked the girl so that wasn't a problem he wouldn't mind getting to know the lovely girl better.

"You are welcome, and I am proud. Really proud, the proudest man you will ever know, for knowing that I would never be a random guy to you anymore" He said with a serious face. "Just so you know you will never be a random girl to me either"

"I'm glad my words of wisdom have an effect on you my young padawan." Grace said with a false air of knowledge to it. She then began laughing again, like she had been doing the entire conversation, she loved how much Adam made her laugh.

"Yeah, he is," Grace said "and if I'm honest, I don't like the thought of going out with one of my aunties or uncles, it's a general no-no." Though the thought of Zeus being her paternal grandfather did make her laugh, "and I thought having a granddad who's a doctor was cool, nevermind king of the gods." she said to Adam, laughing slightly.

"Well, three cheers for stupid people knowing random little facts about random bits of knowledge due to being subjected to documentaries for nearly sixteen years!" she laughed, so happy at her smart moment.

"Thanks," Grace said, trying to disguise her blushing "That's so kind, er... thanks." Grace had never been complimented in such a way and had never been good with compliments in the first place, so now it was like an uber-blushy moment.
