Rose felt a bit nervous about arriving at her cabin at camp half-blood. She didn’t know anybody and was about to meet family she didn’t even know existed a few days ago. As she arrived outside the cabin she noticed there were flowers on the front porch. In fact the whole cabin was covered in plants of some kind. It was amazing and Rose felt like she was home. She loved being outside and gardening and now she could feel like she was outside while being inside. She shuffled a bit on the spot not really sure if she wanted to go inside and meet her new family. The cabin did feel like somewhere she belonged but she still felt a tiny bit nervous about it. What if they didn’t like her? Or they were all horribly mean? Or worst still that this was all a massive joke? She took a few deep breaths and headed towards the door. Rose pushed open the door and looked inside while telling herself that everyone would be nice to her because they had all been in her position once. The cabin had even more flowers inside and there didn’t seem to be many people about. She headed towards what looked like an unoccupied bunk and dumped her bag down on the bed. She probably should have brought more stuff than the one bag but her Dad had said he would send more clothing and that she could buy some if she liked. She didn’t really know where she would get clothes around here though. She sat down on the bed beside her bag and just looked around the cabin some more. She could hardly believe she was here and this had all happened to her. The idea of her being a demigod and finally knowing who her mother was, it was all too much for her and she felt very overwhelmed. This post has been edited by Rose Walker on Apr 1 2012, 11:47 AM

Day none at Camp Half-Blood. Just arrived. Already hate it. Not for any other reason except it's anywhere but home. Paige stood at the front door of the cabin, staring at the door. She dreadded the idea of going inside. As soon as she went inside that cabin, it was her new home. Her 'family' of half brothers and sisters waited there. She was the daughter of Demeter. Why? Why couldn't she just be weird, unique and oddball like she always thought? No, she was a demi-god, like everyone else here. Her sense of individuality was really taking a hit here. Not so one of a kind like she always took pride in being.
Paige sighed as she stepped up to the door. With one last deep breath opened the door and into her brand new life. There was only one other girl there, about her age. Demeter was one big Goddess wasn't she? She looked like she was new to, judging by her bag. Sliding her backpack off her shoulders, Paige dropped it onto the nearest free bunk. First she looked around. She had to admit, it felt...comfortable. Like it was home. Like it had always been home. Like she was lying in a field of fresh wild flowers, the smell of apple blossoms in the air.
FInally, Paige turned to the girl, who, she guessed, who be one of her half-siblings. "Hi." she started with a bright smile. "New here to? Sort of nice not to be the only newb around here." The teenage brunette giggled, "Oh, I'm Paige."

Noa spent very little time inside her cabin these days. She was usually hanging out with Cato or Pepper now. It was funny to see how the two children of Ares had changed into her boyfriend and one of her best friends. At least she saw Pepper as being one of her best friends already and she assumed that the other girl thought of it the same way. Dying eachother's hair was a best friend thing, right? At least she thought so. even now she was coming from training with Cato. She didn't like training but he could teach her how to do things and that made it all a lot more fun. When she entered the cabin she kicked off her shoes when she suddenly noticed two girls she hadn't seen before. And yet they had this immediate sense of familiarity. They had to be her new sisters. "Hey hey" Noa said as she walked up to them. "I'm Noa.. I'm the cabin leader here.. Sooo if you have any questions about the cabin, let me know?" She offered with a smile.

Rose hadn’t been sitting on the bed long when another girl walked into the cabin. She looked how Rose felt. She was looking round the cabin with almost the same look Rose had on her face. She appeared to be new to the cabin as well. This made Rose feel slightly more relaxed because she had someone who could experience camp with her. Her other siblings would understand how she was feeling but this new girl would experience those feelings at the same time as Rose. She looked around the cabin again still in shock that this was all happening. She really didn’t know how she felt about this turn of events because there were too many emotions that she was feeling at once.
Rose smiled as her new sister turned to her and said hi. “Hi. Yeah I’m new too. I can hardly believe this has all happened. I’m Rose,” She said to the brunette girl. The other girl let out a giggle and Rose didn’t understand what was funny. However, she guessed that the girl was just surprised by the situation and it made her giggle randomly. “You know this whole situation is crazy. Two days ago I had no idea who my mother was and now I suddenly find myself with heaps of new half brothers and sisters.”She half said to Paige. She really just wanted to voice the situation to make it all feel more real.
Another girl walked through the doorway of the cabin. However, this girl looked like she had been at camp a while because she didn’t pause and look around upon entering the cabin. She immediately kicked off her shoes and Rose gave a small smile. Well, this was more family she was about to meet. The girl noticed them and came over and introduced herself as the cabin leader. Now Rose knew where to go if she ever needed help with anything. “I’m Rose,” She said while giving the girl a small smile. She felt more at home now that she knew some people and the overwhelmed feeling that she had before entering the cabin was starting to disappear. It was strange to finally have siblings after spending most of her childhood wishing to siblings to play with.

Talk about a topsy-turvy world. It was good thing that Paige knew how to laugh no matter what was going on. She saw the humour in the strangeness that was the world. How much stranger did the world need then getting attacked by mythological beastie, finding out your best friend was a Satyr, who tells you that you're demi-god and now was standing in a perma-summer camp for people like her, face-to-face to another daughter of Demeter, her half sister. Nuts huh? If you don't laugh right?
Paige plopped down on her bed and lay back. "Well, it's great to meet you. I know! It's crrrazzy huh? I mean, we're sisters right? Or half-sisters. I never had a brother or sister." the teenager rattled off. It felt good to know she wasn't in the same boat. Still Paige wore a sort of smile on her face. "So, where are you from?"
Then another girl walked in. Maybe a bit older than her. "Hi!" she greeted Noa. She sat up. "I'm Paige.." Another sister! Another crazy! AH! It was like she'd always known these girls faces. So familiar and yet they just met. Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad. Sisters. And a certain cute, quiet, shy boy....We'll just set those thoughts aside for later shall we. Maybe try to run into him again, the fourteen year old Brunette thought to herself. "Thanks, Noa."
Paige was starting to feel more like herself. More relaxed. More at ease. More free. This place was gorgeous. And the weather...talk about nice.

It was Noa's job to make the new campers in her cabin feel welcome and make sure they knew where to go with any questions they might have, so when she had noticed the two new girls, introducing herself as the cabin leader was the least she could do. She needed them to know that they could talk to her, go to her, ask her anything. She could be their best friend and still the person they would go to, but one of the main things she wanted to do was befriend the two new girls.
The one introduced herself as Rose. That was kind of funny, wasn't it? Being a daughter of Demeter and having a name from a flower. Noa wasn't sure where her name came from anyway. And the other was called Paige. "Well, nice to meet you both, Rose and Paige. I'm sorry if I ever forget your names for a bit, there's so many people around here, and I'm really not that great with names but I'll do my best to remember." Noa promised them with a smile.
Yes, she was going to try to make these girls feel welcome, even if they had only just gotten there. She could finally understand the big sister feeling for even if she was the cabin leader, she had been the youngest in the cabin until now. Both Jonas and Cody were older than her. It wasn't like she'd gotten cabin leader through her age, no, Cody had to give it to her. But he thought she would make a good leader and so she would do her best, yeah?
"So, have you girls seen a lot from camp yet or did you really just get here?"

Rose listened to Paige talked and gave a small nod and smile when she said they were sisters. It was still a mind blowing thought. “I’m from York, Nebraska. It is a small country town so I spent a lot of time on farms and outdoors. It was great. Where are you from?” Rose answered. Thinking about home made her a little sad because she already missed her father. He had been all she had for the last 14 years and now she suddenly had a massive family. It was going to take some getting used to.
It had not twigged in Rose’s head yet that her name was ironic due to her being a daughter of Demeter. The name had been a result of her having rosie red cheeks when her father had first seen her. Her cheeks were as red as the roses in his front garden which was the first thing he saw after looking at her face. He had called her Rosie for a while after that and some how the name had stuck. When she had gotten older she prefered to be called Rose but her father still insited on calling her Rosie.
The camp was wonderful though. What with all the flowers and sunshine that she loved so much. She could really call this place home. Her new sisters felt fimilar in a sort of weird way as well. Maybe that was what it was like to be related. She really didn’t know if that was what being siblings felt like or not but she was enjoying their company anyway. “I haven’t seen much of the camp yet but from what I have seen it looks wonderful.” She said dreamily. She couldn’t wait to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Paige too missed her parents, especially her step-mom. Her dad too, but he wasn't as much the fathering type as some might be. He tried though, he just hadn't been ready to be a dad when she'd been dropped off on his door step. Still, she loved the both, which is also why the teenage girl knew she had to be here. She only attracted trouble of the formerly mythological monster vareity. That memory still made her inside shudder. "Westchester, New York, it's just a little north of New York City."
It irony of the name Rose for a daughter of Demeter was too lost of Paige. She thought it was a pretty name though. Paige liked bright, cheerful colours and roses was a bright red colour, even if they had prickly thorns. She hoped that Rose wasn't thorny too. She seemed pleasant so far.
There was only one other place Paige had seen so far and that was the strawberry fields. They were very pretty and smelled nice and most importantly, that was where she met Brandon, the most wonderfully sweet, cute, handsome and amazing boy ever. She'd had very first kiss and he asked her on a date! She couldn't wait! "I did spend some time in the Strawberry Field today." The dreamy came over her eyes. Any girl might recognize that look to say 'boy'. The memory was still very fresh. His face. His eyes. His lips. OK! So she was getting all gushy! But, be faire! The fourteen year old daughter of Demeter had never had a crush on a boy before now.
