Caroline had been feeling rather bored lately. And when she meant lately, she meant in the past five minutes. She had been sitting outside of her cabin, poking at her iPod when a newer song came on and she started tapping her foot. After a few seconds into the song, Caroline started to hum along. She had loved country music ever since she had ran into that boy and had danced with him. Country was probably the easiest genre to dance to anyway. In her mind, country songs didn't have any type of specific dances and you could easily do whatever you want without breaking the rules of dancing... Were there even rules to dancing?

Before she could go crazy dancing, Caroline danced her way toward the amphitheatre, ready to perform her little dance. She wasn't sure how it was going to end up, but she was excited anyway. She skipped her way toward the theatre, stopping every few seconds to twirl or do another simple move. Caroline was no dancer, so she didn't know how to do all the awesome stuff. She just knew how to do random stuff that came into her mind. It probably looked sloppy, but she didn't mind. She just loved the song.

She started humming louder and louder as she got closer to the building. She wasn't sure if anyone was in there, but she had walked right in singing loudly and doing an improv line dance. She had no idea what was going on, but she took two steps forward, grabbing her belt. She kept on singing the song as she bobbed her head up and down. Caroline took two more steps toward another way as she moved her whole body in that direction. She thought it was pretty cool. Then finally she got to the chorus again and started jumping up and down, unable to control herself.

Rose had only been at camp a few days and had finally decided to stop moping in her cabin. She missed her father terribly but this was her new home so best to stop moping about it. She was making her way around the camp and seeing everything that she could. It really was a magical place and she could hardly believe she was here. Her favourite spot so far would have to be the lake and she could wait to go for a swim in it. She would need something to wear first because she hadn’t brought anything to swim in but that was easily fixed with a letter to her father. She hugged herself happily still not sure if this was all real or some crazy dream. She stopped for a second to bend down and tie her shoelace which had come undone and then continued on her walk.

Rose had paid so little attention to where she was walking that she had walked herself to the amphitheatre. It was huge and defiantly big enough to hold all the campers easily. She looked around the place with her mouth making a tiny o of surprise. Nothing in this camp was half done that was for sure. Everything was big enough for the gods themselves just about. While scanning around the area Rose noticed a girl dancing up on the stage. She appeared to be line dancing without music. However, her dancing didn’t last long until she started just jumping up and down. Some people round this camp really were a bit odd.

Rose decided she should go up and say hi to this girl even if she did seem a little weird. The reasons for this decision were that she needed friends at camp and she would have to get to know people at some point. She climbed up on to the stage and went to say hi before realising that the girl had headphone in. Now the dancing to no music made sense. The girl had been dancing to music the whole time just not music that Rose could hear. She waved a hello at the girl and hoped she would stop her dancing to say hello. Rose really didn’t want to be left standing here awkwardly. That really would be weird.

Daniel had being meaning to play his guitar for almost a week but had found himself too busy and then all of a sudden there was capture the flag, and after capture the flag the day he had spent with Pixie. But now he had quite some free time to play his guitar all alone. Surprisingly, such a passive activity didn't bore the boy to death, since he disliked sitting down for too long or doing one thing for too long. Playing guitar was different though, it was the one thing that he liked and absolutely loved, no matter how boring it would seem to other people. For him, it was cool, so he decided to play it that day and in the amphitheater, since it was usually a pretty peaceful place there.

So he took the instrument and made his way towards the amphitheater, walking slowly of course since he was still getting over the pain and some of the bruises that he had gotten out of capture the flag. It had being great fun, he had to admit it, it had being overly exciting but for Zeus sake he had bruises all over him. But whatever, it was all over now and even though he wanted to repeat it again, he also wanted to rest and play his guitar for a bit. Eventually, and without him noticing, since he was whining in his head about the bruises, he got the amphitheater.

The usually calm and peaceful place was not as calm and peaceful as he thought it was for someone was singing quite loudly. Now that was weird, even though that place was used for that he had never really found anyone doing that in fact, so it was quite weird to actually hear someone singing. The fifteen year old boy decided to peek and see who it was. It was a brown haired girl jumping up and down, singing loudly to some random country song. A smile appeared in his face when he saw this. It was funny, really funny and it the best of ways of course.

He climbed up on stage and saw another girl waving at the dancing girl so he ran towards her and stood by her side, waving at the dancing girl as well. "Hey!" he shouted, noticing that she had headphones in. "You think she can listen to us...or even see us?" he said to the girl who was waving at the one dancing as he waiting for her to acknowledge them.

Caroline was being awfully noisy, but she didn't care that much. She loved this song! She would never be able to stop dancing to it now that she had made her own dance up to it. She had moved on from jumping to clapping, doing spins and turns every time she could. From the corner of her eye she had seen some people enter the theatre, but she was sure they would be fine waiting for her to finish her little dance. Funny thing was, Caroline had put this song on repeat, so they might have needed to wait for a while.

She waved to the girl as she came a little closer, though right afterwards she did a turn again and clapped. That's how line dancing was. There were lots of claps and simple turns; it wasn't too hard. At least not for her. Now she stood there, staring at the wall, bobbing her head up and down. One, two, three! Now she turned around and grinned at the two who were standing there.

The song ended and for a few seconds it was just plain quiet. From the two kids' lips, she could tell that they were saying something, but her breathing was too heavy for her to hear. She raised her hat up and nodded toward them, greeting them again before dancing. Now she was humming really loudly. Maybe she should turn her iPod down a little bit? Still going crazy over the song, she reached down to take her music player out of her pocket. Her hand slipped, causing the piece of technology to fall right out of her hands.

"Ahhhh!" she yelled out as she fell right down with it. She wouldn't let her iPod die now! Luckily she had caught it right on time, though now she was on the ground. And her left earphone was out. Oh wait! She had a better idea. She took the earphones out of the jack and the music started playing out loud. "Guys, lets all dance together!" she exclaimed as she carefully placed her iPod on the ground far away from the three. She reached out to grab both of their hands to wave them around and dance. How great was this?

Rose had to admire this girl’s enthusiasm. If she had been doing this dance she would have long ago give up from tiredness and would be standing there puffing. She also thought the girl’s singing was pretty good. She couldn’t sing herself so wouldn’t have been caught dead singing so loudly like that with her headphone in. She noticed a boy join them on the stage and attempt to talk to the dancing girl. “No, I don’t think she can hear a word we say. My name is Rose, What’s yours?” She said to the boy. Rose figured if the other girl could hear them she could have said something by now or she could hear them and just wanted them to leave her alone so was ignoring them.

Rose decided that she should join in the fun even if she couldn’t hear the song. She started clapping along with the girls dancing and singing. She had been tapping her foot softly the whole time and hadn’t even noticed she was doing it. A smile spread across her face and she could understand why the girl would rather dance than talk to them because she was enjoying just clapping along.

Just as Rose started having fun the girls iPod went tumbling towards the ground. This was followed quickly by the girl herself. Rose gasped in surprise as the fall happened. She didn’t really worry about the girl hurting herself but it had been a surprise to see her fall. This girl seemed completely unfazed from her fall and got up and made the music play out loud. She took the girls had as she invited them to dance and did a spin towards the girl. She was not going to sing but she would dance with the girl. The steps had seemed easy enough and she had been having fun just before so why not start dancing. She smiled as she let the music take control of her body. It was a really good song.

So the girl's name was Rose. Pretty name, pretty girl, it really did suit her. Don't blame him, he was just fifteen and his blue eyes happened to be working perfectly fine so of course he could tell when a girl was perfectly pretty. And that girl was, with the red hair and everything. Yepp. Pretty girl. Anyways, he wasn't really going to think about that kind of things just then. He was there because the other girl, the brown haired girl happened to have being dancing and singing to herself. It took guts to do such things really, especially when there were not very nice people around. But then again, that was the kind of people that the world needed, the ones that didn't care much about what others thought.

He had being staring at the dancing girl for a while so that he forgot that he had to answer. "Oh right,Rose, I'm Daniel, sorry, my attention span is really short, sorry, huge pleasure meeting you though" he said as his lips curved into a wide grin that reached his blue eyes while he extended out his hand to the red haired girl. After he was done with the greetings, he continued to look at the dancing girl as she just kept doing that at her own rhythm. He was still carrying her guitar and looking at her made him want to play it, but for now all his was doing was following her rhythm while he tapped his foot and softly moved his head. "Catchy," he said loudly, slightly turning to look at Rose. Interesting how music could just make three perfect strangers meet and communicate through it. See? That's why he loved it.

Suddenly the girl took off her headphones but her Ipod almost fell. Daniel tried to reach it, slightly running towards the girl but thankfully she caught it just in time. That would had being dreadful. A world without music! Zeus and all the other gods forbid such things! Then, just as randomly as the Ipod's fall the girl suggested that they should all dance together. Erm, right Daniel had never being much of a dancer. Musician yes, always, but dancer, never. But still, he let the girl take his hand and pull him to dance along with her and Rose. Immediately, the music, as it always did, vibrated in each and every part of him, making him move along with the sound. That was fun, uncomfortable since he was carrying a guitar on his back, but incredibly fun!

Hopefully there weren't any other people in here who were trying to practice their instruments or something. Because Caroline was completely oblivious to them. Yup, this was her, dancing all around the stage with her country music. She wouldn’t have minded if someone said anything too. She knew that sometimes she could get a little too excited and annoyed people. But when people didn’t say anything about it, she figured she was doing fine and could go on. By now she didn’t mind if people in here were judging her. She was used to it.

The great thing about dancing was that there were many ways to do it. There was no specific ‘wrong ways’ to dance, and most things looked pretty good as long as they were on beat. Grabbing their both hands, they were all able to dance on beat together! This was awesome. Caroline bobbed her head up and down as she smiled at the two kids. See? Dancing had some sort of universal language! She didn’t even know these kids but it seemed like she did. They were both friendly.

She kept on dancing, jumping up and down and swinging both of the kids’ arms back and forth. But then the song quickly came to an end. If Caroline wasn’t so tired, she would’ve kept on going. Even though the song was on repeat, Caroline sat down on the stage and then sprawled her whole body on the ground. “Phew!” she exclaimed as she looked up at the stage lights. “Now that’s what I call AWESOME!” she grinned as she jumped back up and smiled at the two.

“My name is Caroline! Caroline Sturm. I’m a child of Zeus and I love country music!” she greeted as she reached her hand out to one of them to shake. But then she got a better idea. She held both of her hands out for them to both shake. It looked silly, but Caroline didn’t mind. She smiled at both of them. “You guys are both sweet, by the way,” she added, “It takes a lot of courage to dance with a stranger!”

Rose had been so absorbed in the dancing girl and the music that she hadn’t pained much attention to Daniel. When he put his hand out to shake she gladly accepted with a shy smile in his direction. She had just noticed his blue eyes and how they remaindered her of a beautiful sunny day. They were eyes she could get lost in if she looked at them for too long. She noticed how soft the boys hands were in hers and warm but not clammy. He was rather cute in an older boy sort of way. She specially liked is curly hair which look messy but cute all at the same time. “Yeah who knew country music could be so cool,” She said cheerfully in reply to Daniel.

Rose enjoyed the dance it was fun to completely let go of everything and go completely crazy for a while. She let the other girl swing her arms and let the music lead her movements. She had never danced like this with someone else before. It was a wonderful feeling and she felt so free. She started laughing in enjoyment. She was a bit sad when the song ended and the other girl finally decided to stop dancing. She did look really tired though so Rose understood why it was a good time to stop. “That was really fun. Thanks for asking me to join in,” She said while grinning at the girl lying down on the ground.

“I’m Rose Walker and my mother was Demeter. I love drawing.” She said. She placed her hand in the other girls. It would have been funnier if Caroline had crossed her arms over to shake hands. Rose half thought about doing it herself and then decided too. So she crossed her other hand over the first and held it out for Daniel to shake. She was enjoying being silly with these two. Rose hadn’t really put much thought into dancing with Caroline being strange because she hardly knew her till the other girl pointed it out. She had just be following the lead of the other girl and it had looked like fun so why not.

Daniel wasn’t really a fan of country music. He liked it, yes, but he wasn’t crazy about it. Bit of Rascal Flatts from time to time when he was at home, mainly because his sister was crazy about them. He had to admit that there were really nice country songs though, songs he really liked. And even though he couldn’t really listen to the song the other girl was listening to, he could tell that it had a really cool rhythm. “Definitely,” he said, nodding his head a bit and turning to look at Rose with a bright smile on his face. See, he had no idea why everyone was so fascinated by Aphrodite girls when there was a perfectly pretty girl with bright red hair.

Being crazy and nonsensical was really what Daniel liked best and enjoyed the most so dancing insanely with the two other girls was actually lots of fun. He loved just letting go everything, not thinking and not caring about anything else and in that moment he was doing that exactly and what made it a lot more enjoyable was that the two girls were just like that too. Geez, why hadn’t he met them before? That was some sort of awful sin that should have being punished by the gods! So he continued dancing (if that could be called dancing anyways) until the song ended and he sat down on the stage. “That was freaking amazing,” he said as he turned to look at the two girls.

Then the brown haired girl introduced herself as Caroline. So far, he liked just how outgoing Caroline was. Then Rose, once again introduced herself. Right, his turn. “I’m Daniel McAllen, son of Athena and…love playing guitar,” Daniel said as he took Rose’s hand once again and laughed at how somehow silly crossing her arms had being. But then he crossed them as well to shake Caroline’s hand. So Caroline had being a stranger? Interesting. “Oh really, with a stranger? Geez, I hadn’t noticed,” he said jokingly. For real, someone who could have that much fun and had that much guts to dance with them, wasn’t a stranger for him. It was more like a friend really.
