I've been thinking about this for a while, and I was wondering what everyone elses thoughts on the matter were. I want to start a role playing section, filled with various games from various genres. You may be saying to yourself, 'but MB' we already have one of those, it's the Chain Story section!!' While chain stories are similar to rp's they don't have the same structure. With Chain Stories, everyone writes a piece of the story, using everyone's character to advance the plot. With RP's, you control yourself and that's it. There is one person who runs the world, the NPC's, and what happens to you, but you ultimately determine what happens based on your character's actions. In essence this is D&D or one of the maannnyyy off shoots of it, but I have played in a couple of these games online, and they're quite fun! They can have either the structure dnd has, ie. rolling the dice (Die Roller Site) or it can be free form, where if the character says he hits, he hits, generally. I think that this would be a great addition to the site, but first I want to hear all your opinions as well!
